Quality Inn Rock Hill Northeast I-77

The hotel staff were super friendly! The room was clean although Im used to stay in more high end hotels, this was a good pick for last minute!! The ONLY thing was the pool was Green!!! Ugh! Overall, If I ever had a last min stay, I'll stay again.

Our room was given away upon arrival but they placed us in a comparable room. Someone came knocking on sliding glass door looking for drugs. Pool closed many hours early both nights. Smell of musk in the hallways.

The property was being refurbished, but this allowed for a very good rate for the inconvenience, so I did not mind. There were piles of old mattresses and box frames on property. The pool was being repaired and construction mud was in the parking areas. The lawn care crew was using noisy equipment early in the morning. Very attentive and courteous staff. Had to have my swipe key recharged twice. Note: the Orbitz photos need to be updated as the rooms no longer have kitchenettes.

I liked that it has private balcony's. Check in went very smooth. I didn't like that the pool wasn't openl

Travel to Rock Hill often for sporting events. This was our first time with this location. I will not be booking again. The front desk staff was helpful and kind but not a lot to work with. The pool was closed and obviously not been in use much this season. The breakfast was really nonexistent. Daughter had old fruit loops and we avoided the brown bananas. Our room had no AC on when we arrived. It was late June so really hot in the room. Old AC so not sure what the temp was but we finally figured it out. Then the smoke detector was beeping. Took them about an hour to make it up to the room to change it. We checked in late so it was 11pm when they finally came up after I spoke with them again. Mattress was nice and room was really big.

It was under construction. We parked all the way in the back hallway, stairway smell like urine disgusting people all outside drinking smoking staff was uncooperative call Don for ice. They wanted you to come down and get it. We had an iron in the room burnt to the heels. We asked for a new iron. We asked for towels it took an hour and a half to get towels overall disgusting recommended to be closed down.

Staff was great but property is dirty, no ice, bathroom needs complete gut job, room was in need of remodel and repair. Stayed only because we needed to sleep. I have never seen a Quality Inn in this condition. Not worth what we paid.

Dark, dirty, locked stair doors, no ice , Bathroom needs to be redone. The beds were the only thing good about the place. So bad we left at 3 AM to get home.

Dirty rooms

After finding alot of hair in between the sheets and multiple bugs upon entering the room neither my son or I slept which was the whole purpose of getting this room to rest up before driving 12 hours the next day. I regret staying here, it was so dirty I'm appalled they charged as much as they did. Least of all the complimentary breakfast was sparseto say the least, waffles and dry cereal not that i was going to eat anything after the bugs in our room i didnt trust the food storage practices.

We only stayed one night.. price was good, but very unclean, hair on towels, and pillow, soap and washcloth from someone else was still in the bathroom, left over food on the floor, just not clean at all..

At check-in, they didn’t know what they were doing and it was 11:30om. They didn’t know what rooms were clean and ready. Our room was ok but there was a nasty towel on shelf above closet area and the bathroom tub was dirty. Towels did not look very clean.

Someone must be forging the reviews because that was the dirtiest hotel and room we’ve ever stayed at. Cigarette smoke smell in the room was unbearable, and the bathroom had poop stains on the wall. Needless to say we do not recommend that place at all. Wish I could review this place 0

Never been inside a dirty hotel in my life. Refused to stay the night. Stunk like an ashtray. I’m a cancer patient too so it was an extreme health concern. Pillows yellow with blood stains. Absolutely gross. Had special housing people living there full time too. Not at all what I thought I booked. The receptionist was nice but that’s about it

Bugs in the room

When we arrived at almost 11pm, there was a nice man at the desk, talking to people that i assume live there. He mentioned the state i was traveling from in front of them and my room nunber out loud in front of them. We struggled to find the room. The hallway smelled like weed and stale cigarettes even though it was a "non-smoking". We got in the room and immediately there was a huge roach climbing on the wall. The bathroom sink had been broken and was held together with caulk. The walls and floors were nasty in the bathroom. Sketchy people hanging around outside. Water pressure was good, air conditioner worked well, hot water was really hot. I took pictures of the state of the room, but it will not let me upload them here.

Our stay was a place to sleep for 3 people, but since we had a handicap room, the beds where not queen size, we had full size beds that where not comfortable for my husband and I to sleep in together, I asked for a big chair for my husband, instead of the roller chair and was told there were none. The sliding glass door did not open in our room. There was mold in the shower, under the soap stand. They don't come in and make up the beds or anything, we had to ask for toilet paper and was told that they don't clean your room until the 3rd day. We stayed from Thursday to Monday. The pictures online are very deceiving of what the rooms look like. For breakfast was very simple items. The staff was very nice and friendly Other than that, it was close to family members that live in SC and NC that we were visiting.

Tv didn't work, sink in bathroom sprayed water all over when you turned it on,entrance light didn't work. Also,looked like black mold on ceiling of shower.

From the outside it looks like a run down property. The inside isn’t that bad but the strike plate was missing from the door and it the door moved. It locked but we didn’t feel safe. We couldn’t tell anyone since the phone was out of order. We stayed the one night but we will consider other options on our next visit. Room 160.

The television did not work, and there was no hot water in the shower. This is an older hotel and it shows. It is obvious that there has been a lot of effort to try and clean/ fix this place, but there are also a lot of shortcuts that have been taken and that is evident.

Afternoon guy at front desk was very nice and helpful. Rest of staff was fairly friendly. Hotel could use a "facelift" and some routine maintenance. Carpeting in hall in front of room was totally worn out. Coffeemaker didn't work. Door didn't close on its own, like most hotel doors do. Breakfast bar was out of eggs one morning, out of butter the next...

Though the staff were very nice, the door didn’t close properly, allowing it to lock, the floor was dirty, and the shower never got hot. Also, the property allowed monthly rentals so it had a vibe that just didn’t feel like a place for travelers. On the upside the bed, pillows and towels were surprisingly nice. Very clean and new and soft.

Thin walls and there was a beeping in the hallway that was driving me nuts because the walls were so thin. Could here my neighbors getting it in at 3am which was also unpleasant. Bed had hair on it,

My door couldn't close properly

Rooms are extremely outdated and sketchy and the front desk wasn’t so knowledgeable and not the best with explaining where the room was located

I would never ever in my life stay at this place again. It was a horrible experience. We checked in late, around midnight therefore I inquired about late check out in which i was told we had until 12pm. At about 10:40 housekeeping is constantly knocking on the door in which we keep telling the lady we're staying until 12. At around 11:30am another woman by the name of Katherine in which i've assumed is head housekeeper bangs on the door rudely and tells us we need to leave now. We have 5 mins to leave or she's charging my card again. And also states if we don't leave in 5 mins she's calling the police to remove us. This is all being yelled through the door by the lady Katherine. I go to tell her we were told we have until 12pm to leave and she continues to be loud, nasty and rude telling us there is no note on the account and we better leave or she is calling the cops. Threatening us saying "watch" and then goes on to say we have until 12 to leave or she will call the police. So of course feeling uncomfortable and threatened, we decide its time to leave and start packing up. Meanwhile the lady is in the hallway continuing to shout nasty comments that we can hear through the door as well as any other guest that are still there. As im going to front desk to complain which no one was present i see the lady and politely ask for her name and i also say Thank you and she's still continuing to be very rude and nasty. Also told us we'll be put on the do not rent list.

At check-in, they didn’t know what they were doing and it was 11:30om. They didn’t know what rooms were clean and ready. Our room was ok but there was a nasty towel on shelf above closet area and the bathroom tub was dirty. Towels did not look very clean.

I called the day before to inform them of a late arrival. The receptionist made a note of that, but upon arrival I was told I didn’t have a room and was charged a no show fee. This was after driving 8 hours for a family emergency and arriving at 3:30am. It was corrected the morning after! It was nothing like the photos and was apparent that people were living there. When we went to our room the hall was thick with weed and cigarette smoke and our key card wouldn’t work. We got a non smoking room that smelled like stale cigarettes, floor was sticky, bathroom was dirty and curtain rod in shower was held together with electrical tape. After going to the hospital the next day I stopped and purchased cleaning products and shower shoes. I moped the floors and put linen sanitizer on all fabric. Went to shower and the curtain wouldn’t stay shut due to the electrical tape fixing it at a downward angle. Not a good stay for sure.

I was in rock Hill, South Carolina because I had to attend a funeral. I went to church that Sunday and Kannapolis and had to drive an hour to check in check into my room around 6:30 PM Room 110. left out to go back to church because we had a night service in Kannapolis when I got out of the service I went back to the hotel was able to get inside of the hotel, but couldn’t get inside of my room. When I went to the front desk, the maintenance man asked me are you sure you checked into this hotel? I showed him my key card he still gave me the runaround. We went to room 110 the card didn’t work so he used his key in the door and there was someone else in my room horrified so I went back to the front desk. He gave me a key to room102. It was roach infested, cockroaches, and small roaches everywhere. I stopped so hard in that room trying to kill the roaches. I felt like I was at church again horrible place to stay. So around 5 AM I left the hotel and drove to Fort Mills and slept in my car at a rest. Stop only got two hours of sleep and had to be at funeral.. I made it through, but this establishment is disgusting. It needs to be pushed down. I was morning a loss of a family member. They gave me the runaround To make things worse, I have to wait 7 to 10 business days to be refunded and the words of the children they should’ve ran my coins or gave me straight cash..

Eventhough the night shift employee was very nice the morning staff front desk was very rude and didn't have any respect for the customers.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a nice stay, in this clean hotel.

James the 3rd shift front desk person is hands down the best, most accomodating, above and beyond front desk person my son and I have ever encountered. He is phenomenal and absolutely deserves a raise. Honestly..the entire stay was amazing. The Quality Inn & Suites on Cherry Road in Rock Hill, SC was more than hospitable. We felt like we belonged and like we had family. The room was amazing. The water pressure was top notch and the water heated quickly and stayed hot. We never had any disturbances and we always felt safe.

This property was Dirty and Noisy I pulled up there were 20-30 people loitering outside smoking Marijuana. People were standing on the balcony yelling. I was traveling with my family and was approached by what I can only assume were homeless drug addicts asking for money. I was traveling with my family which included young kids This was a very unsafe environment for them so we decided to find other accommodations There was no security and the fact that police were not called leads me to believe that this was the norm for this establishment. I do not recommend this as a place to stay ever. The hotel and Expedia refused to provide a refund each saying it was the responsibility of the other to provide a refund I am very disappointed in the whole experience Again I would urge against planning a stay in this establishment

Not as expected. Hallway was trashy. The balcony faced construction. Location was inconvenient. I will not visit this hotel y.

Can barely see the entrance to the road because of the boarded up and abandoned KFC. Hotel looks nothing like pictures. Pulled into the parking lot, clothes hanging out on the balcony on one side, the other side looked like it was abandoned with mattresses covering the windows and sliding doors. My wife, and son said this is not a good idea and we drove off. Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Waverly, NC instead. I had very poor internet connection when I booked this and was not able to see the reviews, which mentioned poor conditions and bugs. I did not ask for a refund because this was partially my fault. I am also done using Expedia to book hotels and will only use brands that I feel comfortable and safe with.

The place was absolutely horrible. Surrounded by homeless people, people doing drugs right outside the hotel room. My child said he was afraid to get out of the car, let alone sleep there. The entire place looked extremely run down and completely unsafe, I didn’t even get out of my car to check in. I lost my money on the booking and went to stay elsewhere. The pictures LIE.

It’s not great, but it’s not good either. They are renovating some, but it feels more like a lodging for transients. Lots of smokers. Showed up for breakfast at 8am and there was nothing left.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Corridors were dated and carpet needed replacing. Breakfast was alright but could have bagels and cream cheese and more fruit and yogurt.

The worse hotel we have ever stayed in. We travel quite a bit. Breakfast was not good either. The smells in the hallway were terrible. No working ice machine near us. Outlets didn’t work either. Room was just ok. Staff person at front desk had no personality. We joked we only wanted light breakfast. Well we got that for sure. We witnessed front desk person kick trash near trash can instead of picking up. Trash can was overflowing!!

Just one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed. Hallways reeked of dope, Stained or damaged carpet, Poor/Shotty repair work, melted blow dryer, Pitiful breakfast...seriously, how do you screw up waffle batter? Its painfully obvious that the hotel owner puts all income into THEIR pocket and zero back into this hotel. Be warned.....I wish someone would have warned me. No decent person would stay here unless the circumstances dictated otherwise. (Late at nite, Exhausted, Every other hotel booked....etc) When Expedia charged me $115 for the room, I thought "it must be nice ....then I get there after a 13 hour drive and Hotel Cleck shows me my reservation for $80. But $115 came out of my bank account. Expedia seriously needs to review this hotel.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been too! When we first got there the staff were fast and friendly checking us in. We got into the building and it smelt HORRIBLE! We get into our room and it smelt like dirty cigarettes. The floors were so dirty, the bathroom was so disgusting and the shower curtain was full of mold and actually falling off the wall. Then we are getting ready to go to bed and there was a man outside our door banging and screaming for 15 minutes for the person across from us to open their door. Someone had their music on all night. We literally left our air and tv on to drown out the noice of the hallways. There’s so many people that live there full-time. Oh and the guy at the front desk told us that if you want breakfast you need to come as soon as it opens because there’s nothing left after 30 mins. We went at 7:45 before checking out and there was one yogurt left.

This was a last-minute trip, and I reluctantly had to settle for a hotel chain that’s far from my usual choice. The pictures looked appealing, but they were a far cry from reality. While the front desk attendant was genuinely warm and welcoming, the room was only passable with its basic amenities, marred by a musty odor. The bathroom left much to be desired—there was hair in the shower and sink, and I had to rely on my own Lysol wipes and spray to feel any sense of cleanliness. The bed was uncomfortable, and the blanket clearly hadn’t been washed properly; I was lucky to have an extra one in the car. Even the door lock handle was loose, which made me uneasy, though I managed a makeshift fix with a hanger. Since it was just an overnight stay, I managed to get through it, but I won’t be straying from my trusted hotel chains again. Comfort Inn used to be reliable, but they’ve really fallen off lately. To top it all off, the offered breakfast was unappetizing.
