Fabulous stay! Room was immaculate, bed super comfy, bathroom extremely clean, quiet. Noice wrap around porch. Love the older architecture and railroad based touches.

The Trainmasters Inn was a delightful discovery. We were looking for a place about midway on our journey from Maine to NYC and discovered it on Expedia in a search specifically for a B&B. We both enjoy trains and decided to try it. Although we didn't ever see our hosts, we were in constant communication via text. The Inn is unique and wonderful, our room was very attractive and comfortable and we loved the train theme. Breakfast consisted of home made muffins, yogurt, orange juice and coffee. We ended up taking the muffins for a later snack and having a bigger breakfast at the nearby Day and Night Diner which was also cute and quirky with a fun atmosphere and great food. Before we left, we drove down to the nearby restaurant run by the family and enjoyed the various vintage train cars on display. Altogether a great stop on our journey. We'll be back!

The decor was beautiful. The hotel was clean. Any question you may have was addressed in the information provided at check-in. It was also very easy to contact the person in charge via text. It was strange to self check-in. Although I could hear that guests were occupying their rooms, I got the feeling I was all alone.

We stayed in the Engineer's Suite, which has its own entrance, kitchen, and living room--all well supplied with both breakfast items and entertainment (a book on the local railroad and a jigsaw puzzle!). All accommodations were comfortable, instructions were clear, and help was readily available for the one question we had (about the checkout procedure). Would stay there again if in the area.

Whilst the instructions for gaining access to the accommodation were perfectly adequate we missed the opportunity to connect with the host in person. Probably of less concern to US based guests than ourselves who were not as familiar with the area. Everything was neat and tidy and more than spacious enough for our needs. One potential issue with guests being left to manage themselves is that some will take advantage of the host’s generosity rather than limiting their consumption of provisions to what is expected. Didn’t see the host or staff hence the rating.

It is a historic authentic train station turned into 5-6 rooms. Antique furniture, quiet, safe neighborhood. No staff on site, no service but clean and spacious. I like the breakfast items and coffee that are available basically 24-7. Stairway is steep to second floor. Rooms have no fridge or microwave but can use the fridge and microwave on first floor.... I will go there again!!

A little surprised that we never met anybody during checkin, breakfast or checkout. The muffins were good and they were clear on what to expect, but other bed and breakfasts had made to order breakfasts. The bottled water were in glass bottles that were dusty, so not sure how fresh the water was. Overall a quiet clean place to stay otherwise.

Second time we have stayed here. Self check with easy to follow directions. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The train memoribilia is outstanding including a library of train books to browse through. Steaming Tender restaurant is within walking distance and has excellent food and service. Great stop if you plan to visit the area. Peaked Mountain and Echo Orchards Distillery and Winery is down the street in Monson.

This Inn is fabulous. All train themed. All the rooms are different but all the decor is tastefull and the owners have tried to keep everything as near to the original as possible. The room we had was extremely well planned, roomy, maintained to a very high standard and spotless. There was a seperate sitting room with a table and chairs, which was very cozy. The bed was huge, very comfortable and good quality linen used. Plenty of storage space for clothes and cases. Bathroom was very clean and spacious, the free toiletries were high end and plentiful. Hair dryer was also available. Free continental breakfast, with yoghurts, fruit and muffins (freshly made) tea and coffee facilities in the 'lobby' available 24/7 and good choice. Fridge and microwave also there for use. Ate at the Steaming Tender which is within walking distance, EXCELLENT.... Food, staff and atmoshpere was just A1. All the staff we encountered were, friendly, polite and very helpful. Will stay again.

TRAINMASTERS INN was wonderful! Beautiful and tastefully done. I loved the decor and the historical theme to it. Very easy checkin and checkout process, bed very comfortable and room very clean and spacious. And the muffins that were left for you in the kitchen area were delicious! I would definitely stay again . I am a travel medical person so this was a great little gem when I needed somewhere to stay during a winter storm and allow me to get to my assigment the next day without having to travel too far to get there.

We had a very pleasant stay at the inn. The room was comfortable and clean. The coffee maker was handy and I appreciated the availability of half and half instead of the artificial creamers (Yuk).

Our room was very clean and quiet. We stayed for only one night, so we didn’t explore the area at all. The grounds were lovely, and the porch would be a great place to enjoy a coffee. The owners reached out multiple times to make sure we were all set.

1. no a/c as advertised. The room was hot and stuffy. 2. noisy: A. traffic on main street, B. trains passed through very close to hotel several times throughout the night. The room shakes when the train passes through and the horn from the train is quite loud. 3. The bed was very soft. Perhaps comfortable for some people but not us.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Inn. We had room 2 which is on the 1st floor. It is a restored, old home that has its normal creeks and groans as most authentic older homes have. It is close to the road and between railroad tracks so it can be a bit noisy at times. The bed was worn and sometimes difficult to find the perfect spot. The highlight of the stay was the Steaming Tender restaurant which is owned by the same as the inn. The restaurant had great food and was located in a fully restored train station from the 18880's. The tracks are still active and will have an occasional train or 2 during dinner. We would gladly visit again in the future .

Charming inn with wonderful train memorabilia. Room was quite spacious and comfortable. Love the sheets!! Only downside is location right on the road, but it was quiet on a weekend. Great connection to the Steaming Tender restaurant as well! Would recommend.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the train decorations that were everywhere - well done. The muffin and yogurt breakfast was just right because we had a super meal at the Steaming Tender the night before.

We enjoyed our stay at the Trainmasters Inn. It's a cozy little place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable. There was minimal interaction with the staff, which we were fine with. When messaged, staff responded promptly. Breakfast muffins were delicious. The only con would be the noise level from the floor above but that isn't really something that they can control. If this is something that would bother you, then I would recommend a room not on the first floor. We would definitely stay again.

We loved the building and the decor and the old fashioned big wooden cabinets and the organized breakfast area. The set up was so very convenient and comfortable. The best thing of all was Karen, one of the housekeepers, greeted us at the door and helped us with luggage. It was a pleasure chatting with her the following day too thank you for making our day so easy and comfortable!

Amazing place. Great owners. Be sure to visit their super cool Antique store next to the Inn and their excellent restaurant, Steaming Tender just down the street. We had an exceptional stay!

Our room was very clean and quiet. We stayed for only one night, so we didn’t explore the area at all. The grounds were lovely, and the porch would be a great place to enjoy a coffee. The owners reached out multiple times to make sure we were all set.

Second time we have stayed here. Self check with easy to follow directions. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The train memoribilia is outstanding including a library of train books to browse through. Steaming Tender restaurant is within walking distance and has excellent food and service. Great stop if you plan to visit the area. Peaked Mountain and Echo Orchards Distillery and Winery is down the street in Monson.

We loved the train theme. Room was very clean, sheets were lovely. Palmer was a nice quiet town with a few restaurants. Coffee and muffins in the morning. We stayed overnight to go to the Big E. Was about 25 minutes away and easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful stay. Clean, cozy, comfortable, and walking distance to excellent restaurants. Several antique shops nearby, which we love, and only about an hour and a quarter from Boston. Had everything we needed and not a single complaint. Will definitely be back.

The Trainmasters Inn is unique with lots of interesting art and artifacts about trains. The property was very clean and nicely decorated. It is unstaffed (the keys are left for you). The breakfast is very basic (delicious homemade muffins, OJ, and coffee) but that’s good enough for us. You can walk to several restaurants so the location is convenient. We would stay there again.

The Trainmaster's Inn was very charming and the Steaming Tenders Restaurant is a must if you are staying there. Close to Brimfield with lots of great antique shops in town.

The on the go breakfast was all carbs, just a muffin, orange juice and fruit yogurt. Coffee was good. Dinner at the associated restaurant, steaming tender, was excellent!!

Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the train decorations that were everywhere - well done. The muffin and yogurt breakfast was just right because we had a super meal at the Steaming Tender the night before.

This Inn is fabulous. All train themed. All the rooms are different but all the decor is tastefull and the owners have tried to keep everything as near to the original as possible. The room we had was extremely well planned, roomy, maintained to a very high standard and spotless. There was a seperate sitting room with a table and chairs, which was very cozy. The bed was huge, very comfortable and good quality linen used. Plenty of storage space for clothes and cases. Bathroom was very clean and spacious, the free toiletries were high end and plentiful. Hair dryer was also available. Free continental breakfast, with yoghurts, fruit and muffins (freshly made) tea and coffee facilities in the 'lobby' available 24/7 and good choice. Fridge and microwave also there for use. Ate at the Steaming Tender which is within walking distance, EXCELLENT.... Food, staff and atmoshpere was just A1. All the staff we encountered were, friendly, polite and very helpful. Will stay again.

I have stayed here several times, and it is a wonderful hotel where you can truly feel the host’s thoughtful hospitality. I also had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant owned by the hotel’s owner, and I would love to visit again. I really appreciate how convenient the location is, with everything you need nearby. The people in the local shops are also very kind and relaxed, which makes the whole area feel comfortable and welcoming. I truly love staying here and look forward to coming back again.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is BY FAR my favorite stay of all time. The property is stunning and extremely unique! It is immaculately clean and well-maintained while giving the feel of an old-timey train station. The room had an extra little connecting room to a private bathroom, so it felt more like a suite. I could tell that every single piece of decor was hand-picked to give the suite a quaint flair and fit the train station theme. The muffins for breakfast tasted homemade and were absolutely delicious. After breakfast, my husband and I explored the town and discovered it is just as quaint and picturesque as the hotel. I loved staying here so much that I even told my husband that I want to come back here for my birthday! I can't wait to come back again soon and as often as possible!

The place was hard to find. The room was very nice and very clean; spacious too. We understand that few inns have staff on site except for the cleaning crew. All in all, it was a good experience, and we would go back again.

The room was okay. Soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower looked like they had been in their containers for years. Breakfast was one muffin (looked like Costco muffins wrapped in plastic wrap) with a note telling everyone to just eat one!
