Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold på to netter, og ville gjerne vært en natt til. Huset vi bodde i var veldig tradisjonelt og gav oss en følelse av å reise tilbake i tid hvor vi virkelig fikk oppleve japansk kultur. Personalet var kjempehyggelige og hjelpsomme. Vi hadde med to små barn og de ble godt mottatt selv om fasilitetene ikke egentlig er tilrettelagt for de minste. Matopplevelsen var helt fantastisk og noe vi ikke kan måle med noe annet, både i smak og opplevelse! Vi er også glade for at vi benyttet oss av tilbudet om å bli kjørt til Magome og gikk samuraiveien tilbake til Nakatsugawa. Anbefales på det varmeste.

Very traditional. This also means that it is very close to nature. Not great if you’re scared of bugs. An amazing stay if you want to experience historic Japan.

Super autentisk oplevelse. Et rigtig samuraihus at bo i. Og middagen var helt vild! Ikke mindst at man har en Onsen med udsigt til skov og bjerge.

An amazing experience and stay! We spent two nights in the ryokan and it was a highlight of our trip. The food is exquisite and we were served an array of traditional, creative and beautiful dishes which we very much enjoyed. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and did everything to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. They also offered us transfers to the nearby beautiful Majome-Juku from where we walked along the Nakasendo trail and experienced the stunning Japanese countryside and traditional crafts. We also went in the onsen and had in house massages which were amazing. If we’re ever lucky enough to come back to Japan we will certainly be staying again!
