City Studios i Montego Bay

Walkable to beach and a main strip.. if you are good with hills and steep steps. Decent food by poolside bar within property. Safe and friendly place to enjoy a short visit or extended stay. Good view of the bay from rooftop and my room also faced the water from terrace.

The location was great although the apartment was a little hard to find at first.

Cool place

I am so so to say. But there were mold in the bathroom and also as soon as we enter in the apartment, there is some mold growing on the left hand side on the wall. When we got in the bathroom there was plenty of mold hanging from the ceiling and the bathroom was flooded so I had to mop up the water and my fiancé found where the water was coming from and turn of the water. I reached out to the person in charge and he sent over a plumber. The plumber did not do anything. He told us the problem and tell us that we need to keep the toilet water turned off because that’s where it’s been flooded from and he will come back the next day to fix it. The plumber did not came back to fix the toilet. The Furniture‘s in the house need upgrade. Even the kitchen need fully upgrade. The view from the balcony was perfect and the pool on the property was big enough. Overall, the communication with the person was good, but we needed a different room and he did not have one so I decided to stay. However, I had to go to my boyfriend house, which is a bit of distance from the town and sleep because the bed in the apartment was not comfortable.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 days, and overall loved it. For anyone considering booking:Cons: when people talk about the noise, it's not normal city hustle-and-bustle. The condo balcony overlooks a narrow, winding street, and people going around the curve are honking alllll day long. It lessens a little at night, but yikes it is real loud. A white sound machine helped us a lot, but if you're a light sleeper this may not be the place for you. Also, while the place is clean, there are some things that can't be helped... It's a tropical island. The outside of the building had quite a few large cockroaches. We only saw one in our room and it was already dead, so I'm sure owners are already attempting pest control. But if you're squeamish about bugs, may not be the best place for you.Pros: the bar/restaurant by the pool is GREAT. The woman who runs it is delightful and she makes delicious food. There's also a mini-mart on site, which was super helpful. The a/c in the room works beautifully. The view off the balcony is just amazing. The location is great, and if you don't mind some exercise, lots of things are walkable. I would recommend ubering back though... that hill is steep! All in all, we had a fantastic time here, and would definitely stay again! Keep an eye out for kitties, they love to hang out poolside!!
