1 mile walk to victoria falls. Excellent location. Another 1/2 mile to walk over the bridge to Zambia. Property nice. Pool great. Staff great. Mosquito nets over your bed at night, restaraunt on property too.

Shearwater was a good place to spend our three days in Victoria Falls. While it is a bit worn these days and also a bit overpriced relative to the other options in the area, the room was decent, food good, and staff very friendly. The hotel arranged airport transfer was smooth, and the grounds comfortable, though there were very few pool chairs for many guests. Of course, the reason you are in VF is the Falls and the hotel is in a good location with easy walking to souvenirs as well as the nearby Falls. We also stumbled upon a great find - Victoria Falls Distillery - just a couple of blocks away.

We enjoyed the relaxed feel of this property. It was clean and had a resort feel in pool/bar area. This is not a Marriott type or Victoria Falls Hotel type of property but a good value for the money. Easy walking distance to bridge and other eating establishments.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredible!! Everyone is so kind and helpful. The food is excellent at the restaurant and the rooms are decorated beautifully. Beautiful pool and grounds. Highly recommend

Nice hotel but unable to book drinks etc to room everything has to be paid straight away. Room has no fridge,also we had a bottle of our own wine we wanted drink in our room and staff would not loan me a corkscrew. The swimming pools were spotless and warm.

I upgraded from a tent to a lodge which was very comfortable and clean, however there was no hairdryer in the room. You have to ask at Reception for a hairdryer and then they only have a limited number, of which they had run out! A hairdryer seems a very basic requirement for the standard of room. Also the "spa" doesn\'t seem very hygienic. Nice that they offer this service however I don\'t think they cleaned manicure/pedicure tools between customers.

From the moment I arrived I was looked after and made to feel welcome. The pool area and bar were perfect for relaxing and the food was excellent. It was an easy walk to the Falls and arranging trips was easy too.

Excellent resort for a visit to Victoria Falls and attraction in the surrounding area. Good breakfast. Local tour and transportation booking office. Friendly staff. Very few mosquitoes during daylight hours. Once in room, only had to contend with a few tiny ants and gnats. One downside is that there are no chairs or desk in the room to work on. They also could provide a few more hangers, than the 5 we had. Overall excellent. Would stay again.

We loved our stay at Shearwater Explorers Village - 10/10 for sure! The property was immaculately clean, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and our room was perfect with the mosquito net to keep us safe from bites at night. Most of all we loved the staff - reception, cleaning staff, activities staff, bartenders and restaurant servers were incredibly warm and friendly. They were what makes Shearwater Explorers Village the perfect place to stay when visiting Victoria Falls. We highly recommend staying at Shearwater Explorers Village.

15 mins walk to Victoria Falls. Very clean room albeit small. Excellent staff, beautiful property. You leave keys to them when you’re out so they can come and spray anti bug spray late afternoon.

The property is beautiful, staff are outstanding and anything is possible just ask for it. My sandals sole went undone due to the heat and the staff fixed them within 20 mins. Amazing service. Only points are that the chalettes are not noise isolating so you hear everything around you and humidity smell is real. But it is a great place and amazing value for money.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here as we were within walking distance of the Victoria Falls Rainforest. The staff was kind and attentive, and the grounds were beautiful. Unfortunately our AirCon broke and dripped water on the bed but aside from that our stay was great. Would highly recommend!

Good location for the falls and other activities. They were really helpful at organising activities. Outlook from the rooms to the back of the neighbouring properties was unappealing. Not shown like this in the accomodation websites. 2 of each beverage item (tea and coffee) in the room for the cost of the room was very stingy.

The room was very comfortable, despite the spiders! There is no TV or fridge, but I managed. The only difficulty I encountered was with the staff and being charged twice for a transfer. The hotel said it was a miscommunication but didn't seem to know the general rule whereby the hotel bears the cost of that. They tried to offload it to me. But ultimately relented. It left a sour taste. The breakfast was good. The pool is very nice.

The room did not have a TV. There were no vending machines on the facility so the only way to get a soda is when the bar is open. The area between the airport and the town was OK. The town itself was not bad - I never felt unsafe - there were cops patrolling. As you walk towards the VF bridge, it looks like a garbage dump and stinks of sewage / The Zambia side was better. As a walker you were constantly accosted to buy this or that nicknack or hire a taxi, sometimes these guys would stikc with you for 5 minutes. Customs was always very professional. The room had skeeter curtains, they were marginally affective, make sure you spray yourself against skeets. (I think I picked up malaria). When you pay for an attraction (heli-ride, rainforest, etc) you are safe. Recommend staying on the Zambia side, I will never return to this dump (literally)

Séjour très agréable, chambre spacieuse accueillante quoique un peu sombre climatisation parfaite. À noter pas de télévision. Dans les chambres. Pas de frigo dans les chambres ce qui pose un petit peu problème. Autre petit souci aussi l’absence de change et de cash partout au bar, à la réception vous êtes dans l’obligation de toujours avoir de petites coupures. Appeler vos consommations au bar car il ne cumule pas ce que vous consommer sur votre note de chambre La confiance règne 😂

Only weird thing the WIFI when it came to payment was not working twice in the three days when I needed to pay the tab at the end of the day and they usually couldn’t make change when paying fill, even when using a $20.00 bill. Staff digging in their pockets for change. It was a wonderful place close to the falls. Rooms were very good wish they had a fridge

The service during breakfast was not good at all. We waited for 10-15 mins to finally be served - even then it was with intervention. Servers were busy and were not coordinated. We had stayed here 2 times in the last 2 years and the poor service level was pretty consistent.

Staff are very unhelpful. Each department pushes responsibility on to the next. As a customer you always feel you are being scammed especially when it comes to cash transactions. Nobody has change. This is in an effort to make you give up and not ask for change.

From the moment I arrived I was looked after and made to feel welcome. The pool area and bar were perfect for relaxing and the food was excellent. It was an easy walk to the Falls and arranging trips was easy too.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful resort style hotel very close to Victoria Falls. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Also have partnerships with many of the activities around town, which made registering for them and getting there very easy.

1 mile walk to victoria falls. Excellent location. Another 1/2 mile to walk over the bridge to Zambia. Property nice. Pool great. Staff great. Mosquito nets over your bed at night, restaraunt on property too.

Great place to stay in Vic Falls. Lots of local vendors near by. They do hassle you a bit more than I like, but still a great location. I had a medical issue and they had a doctor there right away that was able to treat and cure my condition with an injection and medications. The service was remarkable and not grossly expensive. Staff at hotel very helpful and the hotel itself is very nice and comfortable.

Very central and easy access to brewery, distillery, craft markets, central town and even easy walk to the falls. It’s a large site with many rooms, breakfast can be full but always lots of food and good service.

The room did not have a TV. There were no vending machines on the facility so the only way to get a soda is when the bar is open. The area between the airport and the town was OK. The town itself was not bad - I never felt unsafe - there were cops patrolling. As you walk towards the VF bridge, it looks like a garbage dump and stinks of sewage / The Zambia side was better. As a walker you were constantly accosted to buy this or that nicknack or hire a taxi, sometimes these guys would stikc with you for 5 minutes. Customs was always very professional. The room had skeeter curtains, they were marginally affective, make sure you spray yourself against skeets. (I think I picked up malaria). When you pay for an attraction (heli-ride, rainforest, etc) you are safe. Recommend staying on the Zambia side, I will never return to this dump (literally)

Shearwater was a good place to spend our three days in Victoria Falls. While it is a bit worn these days and also a bit overpriced relative to the other options in the area, the room was decent, food good, and staff very friendly. The hotel arranged airport transfer was smooth, and the grounds comfortable, though there were very few pool chairs for many guests. Of course, the reason you are in VF is the Falls and the hotel is in a good location with easy walking to souvenirs as well as the nearby Falls. We also stumbled upon a great find - Victoria Falls Distillery - just a couple of blocks away.

Overall was good, but the food service is very slow. We had a tour to Chobe NP, we told the kitchen service that we needed to park breakfast before 7am, but we were waiting and waiting and could not get the food until after 7am. The eggs we had in the box was not cooked enough and one of our people was not feeling well after easing that eggs.

Whenever I find myself in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe I would choose Shearwater over and over again. A wonderful and serene hotel with good food, nice and hospitable workers and best tours. I enjoyed my stay and would surely recommend Shearwater without hesitation

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredible!! Everyone is so kind and helpful. The food is excellent at the restaurant and the rooms are decorated beautifully. Beautiful pool and grounds. Highly recommend

The service during breakfast was not good at all. We waited for 10-15 mins to finally be served - even then it was with intervention. Servers were busy and were not coordinated. We had stayed here 2 times in the last 2 years and the poor service level was pretty consistent.

The only reason I cannot give this a 10 out of five dollar review is because the Plumbing bedroom needed new fixtures and hot water was very limited. This could be an isolated incident because otherwise the place was magical. Breakfast is good, check-in was easy, everyone was nice. It was super clean in the grounds well-maintained. Location was 10 out of 10. Bar staff excellent.

The property is very pretty, the sheets nice and crisp - a couple of things detracted from our stay. Even though many of the rooms had been cleaned from those who vacated that morning, ( evidenced by the housekeeping cart locations ) staff made us sit in the lobby for 3 hours " check in is 2 pm " Surely 1 room was clean after 2 hours ..... When pressed they finally gave us a room....the furthest away room by the construction site and power tool Noise Finally changed and at the pool for an hour when going for a shower discover there is NO hot water ( long hair wet, full of shampoo ) and only cold water ( other guests had the same issue ) We booked a fairly expensive dinner cruise and activity director could not provide details other than price and pick up time ( menu options, buffet or plated.... ) The offer was made to store beverages in their fridges and when the Time to retrieve them, the bag could Not be located
