We were in the area to see a concert at the Center for the Arts in Homer, NY and we needed a place to stay. The Yellow Barn looked like fun. We were not disappointed. The Barn is charming, with large common areas, a full kitchen, and a large deck and grassy area at the back. We were only staying for a single night and it was raining, but when we return we will plan on having enough time to enjoy everything. Christian was a wonderful host, never intrusive but available. The check-in instructions were perfect, and we had no issues whatsoever. We will be back.

I love the porches! Front of house was beautiful. Back was ok. But one side was all dirt and not attractive. Loved the lighting at night.

We were visiting our daughter at Ithaca College for the family weekend, and this was a great place to stay. It reminded us of old-fashioned bed and breakfasts. It's a beautiful house with unique gathering areas like the library, kitchen, and TV room, where we spent a few hours one night just relaxing with our daughter, who just wanted to stay in and relax. The outdoor spaces are so beautiful as well, although it was col so we didn't get to enjoy it this time. We will stay here in the future!!

Such a cute, quaint, and quiet property! The complimentary staple foods provided was just PERFECT! We stayed with 2 other guest pairs. Everything was safe, respectful, and enjoyable!!! We will definitely be coming back to stay!!!!!

I had a little difficulty getting check in information and when I got to the property, my door code didn't work. However the manager was quick to fix this problem. He also was very helpful when I had trouble with my car. The property is charming, quiet and very clean. The self serve kitchen is wonderful

They have truly thought of everything at the Yellow Barn Estate. Heaven is in the details. Spacious room; soft towels; plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion; kitchen in which everything you might need is available; heartwarming shared spaces. This will be my top choice going forward for stays in the Ithaca area.

Generally a nice place and convenient to our travel needs - we would like to return next year, but improvements are needed. We had a check-in issue but the on-site coordinater was very responsive and helpful! Room needs chairs so we can sit and eat in the room. The parking area was VERY dark - needs safety/security lighting. VERY early one morning there was an hour-long beeping from some sort of vehicle - not the way we wanted to wake up. Another early morning a couple in the room above us decided it was time for them to enjoy each others company in a noisy way. Again, not our preferred wake up call method. Maybe quiet hours need to be extended to 8am. The house rules mentioned that TV noise should be kept to a minimum but unfortunately there was no TV - would have been nice to have one in the room. Again, we would definitely stay again - the property was convenient and beautiful, but a few tweaks to address some of the concerns we faced would make this property great!

Very clean and beautiful facility. Perfect location! I believe the website said pastries and coffee. Great selection of teas, Kerig but no coffee pods. Coffee pot with fresh beans for grinding but no pastries. No big deal.

All dishes etc are dusty and dirty. Kitchen sink was filthy all around it. Dish soap bottle was disgusting! Had to call about how to work TV to find out remote is missing so he looked in furniture to find food instead. When I first walked into our room I thought it was cleaned as bed was made so sloppy. I pull comforter up find I\'m hoping clean shets but they were so wrinkle they looked like someone slept in them. We were the only ones there first night then another guy came second night if you had rooms filled you would hear people walking and talking as the floors are that creaky. Public area large fan was filthy. All window unit AC were still in at the end of November and so much cold air was coming in. The fake flowers outside were very tacky. The driveway was a sheet of ice we mentioned it to Christian his response was "I\'m not about to throw ice down". I guess he would rather someone fell instead. So we parked right next to building not in the designated parking spots. There were no pastries like website stated yet there was food in fridge qnd on shelves that I wouldn\'t think people would ever touch. Main level bath had hole in wall with a board with many nails leaning in there. We are originally from Ithaca and come back 3-4 times a year and thought we try this because the price was right but with the location and quality wouldn\'t stay again. We wanted a king but it said it was available yet no one was using it! Not sure how reviews are staying its clean!

I enjoyed my stay at the Yellow Barn Estate! Everything was clean and convenient! I could come and go and didn’t feel like I was bothering anyone. The room was comfortable and the amenities (I.e., being able to use the kitchen) were convenient! It was just like a bed and breakfast, but you made your own breakfast! The location was perfect for what I needed for my trip!

1. This property did not have shaving kits. 2. There is little to nil information on the stay? 3. I came into Ithaca early (11am), and the person at the property would not let me do early check in. 4. Each room does not have a TV. 5. Each bathroom only has enough body wash for 1 night, and does not get refilled on the 2nd night.

The place was beyond any expectation!! Cozy cute comfortable and very clean. The beds were so comfy, fluffy towels, and the vibes you'd expect from your grandma's home. Highly recommend!

This was a beautiful setting with truly wonderful decor and ambiance. It was great to have a full kitchen available along with coffee machine and kcup machine plus supplies. we also had many options to cook and snack on although we did not use the snacks. We did try several kcups however. Our only complaint was noise from the downstairs live in in the evening which impacted only the tv room He did obey quiet hours after 11 pm which (for us) was a bit late. This occurred for both nights of our stay. On the second night, we simply moved to the main room , closing the door to the TV room, which greatly muted his noisiness. The Host did promise to address the noise if he was noisy past 11. Cost was very reasonable.

I will be back. It’s an inn. A very lovely, cozy Inn. My major issue was the fact that it was cold and I couldn’t turn on the heat for some reason. It’s also in the middle of nowhere, but they have a water filter which I think is the most essential thing and they have breakfast type things. The Wi-Fi works as well

The barn was spectacular. Easy entry and parking, beautiful setting, decorated very tastefully. Comfortable room with soft bedding and thoughtful toiletries. Common areas were inviting. I highly recommend this property!

Very nice place. Conveniently located for our purposes. Very clean. Only thing that prevented me getting a good nights sleep was that the bed has a top sheet and then a heavy comforter, So I was hot with the comforter on but cold with only the sheet. I would like a blanket as well. If it had not been after 11pm, I would have asked the caretaker for a blanket and I’m sure that would not have been a problem. I would definitely stay here again. Would be a great place to go with other folks and reserve the whole place and hang out together.

We were in the area to see a concert at the Center for the Arts in Homer, NY and we needed a place to stay. The Yellow Barn looked like fun. We were not disappointed. The Barn is charming, with large common areas, a full kitchen, and a large deck and grassy area at the back. We were only staying for a single night and it was raining, but when we return we will plan on having enough time to enjoy everything. Christian was a wonderful host, never intrusive but available. The check-in instructions were perfect, and we had no issues whatsoever. We will be back.

Charming, cozy, and clean. I met the owner and he is very friendly and accommodating. They have everything you need. I work remote and was able set up at dining room table and drink coffee in the morning since no one else was there. Very peaceful!

We had one night at the property. Once we understood the self checking in routine it was easy to access our room. The bed was somewhat soft but maybe because we are used to a firm mattress. Coffee making in the AM was a problem as the coffee maker was not working properly and there was no one to assist.

I had a little difficulty getting check in information and when I got to the property, my door code didn't work. However the manager was quick to fix this problem. He also was very helpful when I had trouble with my car. The property is charming, quiet and very clean. The self serve kitchen is wonderful

The pictures online don’t do it justice. I had a short stay but would without a doubt stay again if i’m in the area. Clean, beautiful, safe , affordable, accommodating, great communication with owner. 10/10

Honestly blown away. Family stayed at Greek Peek for a gathering. I stayed here and wish we just rented the whole barn. It's one of the most picturesque, perfectly appointed place I've ever stayed. The worst part of my stay was dealing with Greek Peek staff and only one family member getting to see the AWESOMENESS that is The Yellow Barn. Caretakers and owner communicate n care Honestly....just Book it n thank me later!

We have stayed here often, and what we like most is that it's very homey, and we feel at home. It's a beautiful property, and the owners/hosts are always available if there are any issues. It's also very clean, and it has everything we need. We will continue to stay there!

The property/room itself was very nice and clean. There was one hiccup but it was resolved very quickly- I didn’t check my emails and didn’t know I needed to do check-in online and get access code … so when arrived, I didn’t have one. Thankfully I found phone number to call and it was resolved. I would say check-in online is just unnecessary step. If you pay for the room, you should get access code at the time that room is available to checkin.

It is very much out of the way from public. One can easily miss the road (Yellow Barn Rd) from Rte 13. Additionally, I find the shower pressure to be a problem. It is just barely a stream coming out of the shower head. So the bottom line for me, from a bath/shower perspective, it is inadequately equipped-furnished.

I will be back. It’s an inn. A very lovely, cozy Inn. My major issue was the fact that it was cold and I couldn’t turn on the heat for some reason. It’s also in the middle of nowhere, but they have a water filter which I think is the most essential thing and they have breakfast type things. The Wi-Fi works as well

Everything was awesome! We were the only ones there this time other people had already left, so we basically have the whole house to ourselves. The rooms were all clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this place. It’s a little gem that you wouldn’t think of staying, and it’s very close to Ithaca just miles away.

Very clean and beautiful facility. Perfect location! I believe the website said pastries and coffee. Great selection of teas, Kerig but no coffee pods. Coffee pot with fresh beans for grinding but no pastries. No big deal.

The amenities were fantastic. The host was gracious with snacks and orher food items such as a selection of Ramen Soups, canned vegetables, breakfast cereals and bottled water just to name a few.

Beautiful place. Peaceful. Comfortable room. Just never found the fresh pastries and couldn’t get the Keurig to make coffee. But even in spite of that it was a very pleasant stay. Pastries and coffee would have made it perfect.

Such a cute, quaint, and quiet property! The complimentary staple foods provided was just PERFECT! We stayed with 2 other guest pairs. Everything was safe, respectful, and enjoyable!!! We will definitely be coming back to stay!!!!!

Everything was exactly what I was told. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with everything you needed if you forgot your own. Breakfast goodies in the fridge and coffee if desired. Someone did arrive in a the late evening and could be heard above my room but there was no more disruption than would be at a hotel. I never met anyone face to face as far as owners or managers but that’s fine as everything can be done with credit cards. I was also impressed with the overall style of the Yellow Barn very rustic but not old. Stair railings and great room were inviting and I loved the long table to seat multiple people. I’d definitely bring family and friends back and will plan to stay in the future.

I enjoyed my stay at the Yellow Barn Estate! Everything was clean and convenient! I could come and go and didn’t feel like I was bothering anyone. The room was comfortable and the amenities (I.e., being able to use the kitchen) were convenient! It was just like a bed and breakfast, but you made your own breakfast! The location was perfect for what I needed for my trip!
