Having read previous reviews we were rather worried about we would greet us on arrival however: - we had a nice room on the 1st floor. Water pressure wasn’t great but if you started the shower 5 minutes before you needed it the. The water was nice and hot. - staff were very friendly, helpful and eager to please. - we ate at the hotel (US$45 each) as there weren’t any other options in Cerro Castillo. The 3 course evening meal (we had a choice of 2 dishes) was very nice. - Breakfast (coffee, cheese and ham) was good. There were other options (cakes, cereal and yoghurt) that we didn’t try. - There was no Wifi in our room. Overall if you need a stop over in Cerro Castillo then don’t be put off by all the reviews. That said the cost at US$250 per night is expensive and certainly not value for money.
