L'Hotel Pura Vista è un piccolo boutique hotel sulla cima di una collina con ampie viste sull'oceano, molto apprezzato per la sua piscina rinfrescante con vista e per le camere pulite e confortevoli, curate nei dettagli e con balconi che incorniciano splendidamente la costa.
La posizione in collina è tranquilla e panoramica ma un po' isolata dal centro, con una salita dalla spiaggia e poche possibilità di ristorazione a piedi, quindi avere un'auto o organizzare un trasporto è utile. I servizi sono semplici oltre alla piscina, con qualche piccola mancanza come pochi prodotti da bagno e asciugamani un po' usurati, e la colazione è l'unico pasto disponibile in loco. Il servizio è descritto da molti come cordiale e attento, anche se alcuni ospiti hanno notato qualche disattenzione, come un servizio colazione non sempre presente o confusione riguardo a un pasto incluso. Aspettatevi un soggiorno tranquillo e incentrato sulla vista, con un'accoglienza cordiale e servizi in loco modesti.

The view is amazing, even better than the pictures. Everything is spotlessly clean and it's a very quiet neighborhood. The owners are very caring and very, very helpful with everything and anything. Most days we just lazed around by the pool and still slept for 10 hours each night.

The view is amazing, everything is super clean. With only 6 rooms, we don't have to deal with a crowded pool. Some of the wild birds are very friendly.

This is a small and economical but REALLY nice place. The view is staggering! pool is maintained daily. Breakfast is wonderful; not your typical hotel 'continental breakfast'. We woke to so many birds calls and even howler monkeys in the distance. Lots of endearing subtitle features: plants, decorations, bedding options, filtered water, lounge covers... Check-in and out was smooth. Staff was OUTSTANDING. Can't miss staying here!

My wife and I travel a lot and consider Kimpton's roughing it. This hotel was hands down the best-run place we have ever been to. The view is world-class, and the pool is incredible. Breakfast was great. The menu was more of a guide than a fixed option. The owner was such a great guy and helped us with everything we needed, including car repair. We will 100 percent be back.

We chose Pura Vista to enjoy the natural scenery and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. The image of the pool overlooking this truly captures the essence of our stay. We woke to the sound of howling monkeys and enjoyed beautiful watching blue jays flying about. Our room with the private pool was very comfortable and clean and we had good rest, energizing us for the next day. Mark the owner and his staff were very gracious and went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable, helped us find transportation and local restaurant recommendations. Mark proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and sea ecology which I found remarkable. Last but not least, we fell in love with the resident cat, Cosmo, who checked in on us daily to be sure we were having a lovely vacation. Thank you Pura Vista owners and staff, from Cindra & Joe.

Loved the pool and the room's high ceilings and modern decor - everything was very well maintained. Breakfast was very good, though the staff could perhaps have been more attentive. Overall, it was a great stay.

This is a small 6-room boutique hotel that is up the hill from Ocotal Beach (Playa Ocotal) and about a 10-minute drive from the main strip on Coco Beach (Playas del Coco). Mark is a great host, and he and his team do an awesome job running the hotel. Mark greeted us when we arrived at ~9pm even though our room key had already been arranged for us in a lock box. Our unit was clean, updated, and had a balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean. Every morning, a complimentary vegetarian breakfast was provided that featured fruit, gallo pinto (rice & beans), and eggs. The pool was the perfect place to take a dip after returning from the beach/ocean, and it overlooks the same wonderful view that's enjoyed from the rooms and breakfast area. Parking was never a challenge during our stay because there were never more than 2-3 cars in the lot. The parking area, and the entire hotel, are in a secluded but safe and gated area. My only quibbles are that it would be nice if the hotel offered more complete amenities (they provide shampoo and conditioner, but not body wash and lotion) and some of the towels had frayed edges. Otherwise, our stay at Pura Vista was first-class!

Staying at Pura Vista Hotel was such an incredible experience. It is a very cozy hotel that has mesmerizing views and romantic atmosphere. It is very clean and set up comfortably. Only 10 minutes walk to the beach through a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, this very unique place made our vacation memorable. Definitely would want to come back!

I booked this with Hotels.com and free breakfast was included in the booking. After checking in, the owner confused my booking with another, I had to switch rooms, did not get any toiletries at all during the stay. The owner, after stating that we would get the free breakfast, told me at breakfast the next morning that my breakfast was NOT free, because my room rate was so low. Very unprofessional, I notified hotels.com and they issued me a credit, but this owner clearly doesn't live up to his promises. Stay away.

This is a small 6-room boutique hotel that is up the hill from Ocotal Beach (Playa Ocotal) and about a 10-minute drive from the main strip on Coco Beach (Playas del Coco). Mark is a great host, and he and his team do an awesome job running the hotel. Mark greeted us when we arrived at ~9pm even though our room key had already been arranged for us in a lock box. Our unit was clean, updated, and had a balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean. Every morning, a complimentary vegetarian breakfast was provided that featured fruit, gallo pinto (rice & beans), and eggs. The pool was the perfect place to take a dip after returning from the beach/ocean, and it overlooks the same wonderful view that's enjoyed from the rooms and breakfast area. Parking was never a challenge during our stay because there were never more than 2-3 cars in the lot. The parking area, and the entire hotel, are in a secluded but safe and gated area. My only quibbles are that it would be nice if the hotel offered more complete amenities (they provide shampoo and conditioner, but not body wash and lotion) and some of the towels had frayed edges. Otherwise, our stay at Pura Vista was first-class!

When we arrived there was a hiccup at airport / rental car. I was very concerned but called Thisbee. She calmed me, explained options, and was a trusted colleague. The owners went well above their “jobs” to assure our stay was perfect, and it was.

My wife and I travel a lot and consider Kimpton's roughing it. This hotel was hands down the best-run place we have ever been to. The view is world-class, and the pool is incredible. Breakfast was great. The menu was more of a guide than a fixed option. The owner was such a great guy and helped us with everything we needed, including car repair. We will 100 percent be back.

We chose Pura Vista to enjoy the natural scenery and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. The image of the pool overlooking this truly captures the essence of our stay. We woke to the sound of howling monkeys and enjoyed beautiful watching blue jays flying about. Our room with the private pool was very comfortable and clean and we had good rest, energizing us for the next day. Mark the owner and his staff were very gracious and went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable, helped us find transportation and local restaurant recommendations. Mark proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and sea ecology which I found remarkable. Last but not least, we fell in love with the resident cat, Cosmo, who checked in on us daily to be sure we were having a lovely vacation. Thank you Pura Vista owners and staff, from Cindra & Joe.

Flo is a wonderful host, he could not do enough to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. A bit out of the way, but close enough to get around . His food, his tips on what to do, he tries to help you any way he can. He advised me of a fabulous tour guide, and gave me a contact with a reliable cab driver. Would have no hesitations of staying here again. I made a friend with Flo! :)

I booked this with Hotels.com and free breakfast was included in the booking. After checking in, the owner confused my booking with another, I had to switch rooms, did not get any toiletries at all during the stay. The owner, after stating that we would get the free breakfast, told me at breakfast the next morning that my breakfast was NOT free, because my room rate was so low. Very unprofessional, I notified hotels.com and they issued me a credit, but this owner clearly doesn't live up to his promises. Stay away.

Staying at Pura Vista Hotel was such an incredible experience. It is a very cozy hotel that has mesmerizing views and romantic atmosphere. It is very clean and set up comfortably. Only 10 minutes walk to the beach through a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, this very unique place made our vacation memorable. Definitely would want to come back!

This is a small and economical but REALLY nice place. The view is staggering! pool is maintained daily. Breakfast is wonderful; not your typical hotel 'continental breakfast'. We woke to so many birds calls and even howler monkeys in the distance. Lots of endearing subtitle features: plants, decorations, bedding options, filtered water, lounge covers... Check-in and out was smooth. Staff was OUTSTANDING. Can't miss staying here!

This place is amazing. We were sad that we only had one night here as we could have stayed for a week. The hotel is small - 6-8 rooms perched above the bay. The pool also overlooks the water and was such a treat to cool off from the heat. Mark is an excellent host and was incredibly helpful. The rooms were brilliantly laid out, modern, and comfortable. The small beach is about a 10-15 minute walk down the hill and lovely.

Mark and his team were super helpful and all around outstanding! He is super knowledgeable about the area and willing to share various places to see and eat. The made-to-order breakfast each morning, with amazing views, was the perfect way to start each day. Highly recommend the boutique hotel. We are already planning our next stay with them!

We were blown away by the view. Everyone we interacted with, from the owner (talking through the doorbell camera outside the gate), to the owner's friends who came by, to the staff who made the breakfast were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed here for one night just to be closer to the airport since we were coming from Nosara. It was worth the slight detour rather than staying at the airport hotel. Amazing last night and morning, sitting on the balcony watching the birds, the boats, and the clouds on the horizon over the water. Just amazing. There was also a very nice restaurant about 5 minutes away at a nearby resort, which was very convenient. The one minor comment I would have is that the bathroom sink faucet and the shower head were both not great, and need to be replaced. They sprayed water in every direction when turned on higher than a trickle. But that's an easy fix. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing last night and morning, sitting on the balcony watching the birds, the boats, and the clouds on the horizon over the water. Just amazing. There was also a very nice restaurant about 5 minutes away at a nearby resort, which was very convenient. The one minor comment I would have is that the bathroom sink faucet and the shower head were both not great, and need to be replaced. They sprayed water in every direction when turned on higher than a trickle. But that's an easy fix. Would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was great every day. Loved the choices. Staff waa lovely. Rooms were very nice. Pool was great. And the views were amazing.
