Overall, okay stay. One elevator was not correctly working and we couldn't get the button to our floor to work. Room was mostly clean, but sheets were dingy white (as opposed to pillowcases that were regular white).

Parking was a challenge. The lot was full and there were several large construction trucks taking up multiple spaces for one vehicle. The property was clean and comfortable but I will probably stay elsewhere next just to not deal with the stress of worrying about my car getting damaged when all the construction vehicles left in the morning. I didn’t have any issues just couldn’t truly rest due to worrying about my car.

Convenient hotel on Main St. near university. Lots of gas and food options. Staff are friendly and breakfast is okay. I did like the pool table and coffee in the lobby. My husband appreciated the large tv in the room. I liked the bathroom, shampoo and body wash setup.

Check in was easy. I requested a room w a bath tub. The staff physically checked the room to make sure I had a tub. Coffee is Lavazza a d available around the clock. Breakfast is hot and fresh and the attendant keeps it perfectly clean. Im staying w my dog and its easy to go in and out with him. This is TRU-ly a great hotel. This is my 2nd time here. Both Stays have been great. I just wish the pool was heated for winter🙂

My Pup and I had a 2 week stay. The Staff was beyond generous and kind. Ashley at the front desk took care of a 3rd party mix up. Joyce in house keeping made sure all our room needs were met, also my Son and Grandson, who enjoyed a 4 day stay. Miss Jo , who does a little bit of everything with her big smile and good morning greetings to me and Buddy while taking him out to the pet area. The whole Tru team of Farmville is wonderful. My stay was a pleasure and I would highly recommend this hotel. 🙂

Overall the property was great. Well maintained and clean. There were a couple of things that could have been better. Although the English breakfast was very nice the staff took way too long on replenishing certain items like eggs. When they did they were cold.The 24 hour coffee tea service was very nice. My biggest issue I had was the noise level from the hallways at 6 am. The walls were not insulated on the interior. I would stay there again. Great value for the money.

Very friendly staff, but for being a "new" hotel this place was in rough shape. Paint peeling, dirty room, mildewy shower. Felt like an old super 8, not a new hilton property.

Breakfast was very poor- no yogurt, no fresh milk choices, no fruit (old bananas and apples from the previous day) Hotel staff was non responsive about breakfast options- just that they “were out of a lot” TRU is normally my quick go to- but not in FarmVille, Va - stay elsewhere

We have stayed at many Tru by Hilton hotels over the past few years. This was the least clean. Our bathroom floor has hair and pieces of lint all over it. The stay was good as we were not at the hotel much. The staff were vey welcoming both days.

We had an accessible double room with a walk-in shower and a shower bench, which was great, except that there was inadequate water pressure to use the handheld shower head effectively. The room was clean but lacked adequate tabletop space and had only one small side chair. We arrived in the evening so went to a drive-thru to pick up food and bring it back to the room. I used the chair and a small narrow-width moveable "table" on wheels to eat my food. My stepdaughter sat on the floor to eat her food as she didn\'t want to risk getting fried chicken and other food residue on the white bedspread. The only hanger rod in the room that was tall enough to hang my long dresses had the microwave and refrigerator under it, so my dresses covered them up. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was certainly adequate.

Nice place. Able to walk to a few different restaurants, although hotel is on a busy street. Room very sparse. Only King Room I could get was an Accessible Room. I am hoping that this is true of the accessible room, but there were no comfy seating -- chairs and/or sofas. Not sure if there are regular Kin Rooms?

I selected the hotel because it is located close to my daughter's home. I was taken aback when I entered the room. I was not ready for the minimalistic decor. It may be modern but not comfortable surroundings to me. The staff was kind and friendly but I felt I was on my own. I think I'll stay at the Hampton next time even though it is across town.

I have stayed at other Tru Hotels, and this location was not as nice as the others. Rooms seemed smaller. Shower was awful because of horrible water pressure and strange placement of shower head. Breakfast was subpar compared to other Tru Hotels. Pancake machine was broken and was lacking other food items. Kids were running up and down hallway and yelling at 11pm with staff not concerned.

Very low water pressure in the shower and only personal shower worked...not main shower. Housekeeping Schedule not adequate. Refrigerator too small and no freezer. No drawers to unpack into. Guests have to put liners in the trash cans. A/C could not keep up during the day. Loud gossiping by employees at breakfast disturbing. Very noisy guests into late night above us. Would not stay there again or recommend it.

This is about the 5th or 6th time staying at this Tru in FarmVille Va. Half the time we get the same woman checking us in. She is rude and not helpful at all. When the other people that work there apologize for her behavior!!!

I didn’t like one of the ladies that check you in she rude rude she cater to the white people, but gave the Black people a hard way to go and that’s not cool. She just that when we came down for breakfast and all we ate breakfast was one day there she criticize us. I wish I could remember her name, but I can’t, but we had the same problem last year too.

Convenient. It was close to my friend’s residence. The check-in experience was not good. I tried to check in around 3:10. The staff named Angela took my ID, not friendly, looked me up and told me I can’t check in because there are two weddings and my room is not ready. No room in this box to explain what transpired. I was told to wait..waited for an hour and finally asked if the room was ready from another staff. I was hoping someone will let me know once a room is ready. I wish this hotel is as good as the one in Baton Rouge, LA. The place was awesome! They gave out a bag with bottled water and a small bag of Cheezit to each guest, daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful….reason why I chose to stay at this hotel. I think I’ll really think hard before I consider staying at another Tru Hotel again!!!!!

Nice place. Able to walk to a few different restaurants, although hotel is on a busy street. Room very sparse. Only King Room I could get was an Accessible Room. I am hoping that this is true of the accessible room, but there were no comfy seating -- chairs and/or sofas. Not sure if there are regular Kin Rooms?

Convenient hotel on Main St. near university. Lots of gas and food options. Staff are friendly and breakfast is okay. I did like the pool table and coffee in the lobby. My husband appreciated the large tv in the room. I liked the bathroom, shampoo and body wash setup.

Love the Tru by Hilton in Farmville. This is our go to hotel when in town for HSC events. I don't like to stay anywhere else.

I selected the hotel because it is located close to my daughter's home. I was taken aback when I entered the room. I was not ready for the minimalistic decor. It may be modern but not comfortable surroundings to me. The staff was kind and friendly but I felt I was on my own. I think I'll stay at the Hampton next time even though it is across town.

All aspects of the room and the facility were great except for the dog barking at 5:30 am. When I approached the elevator the dog began barking even more. I spoke to the front desk about this, and they attempted to contact the the guest room with the dog. The dog was a little less noisy but still disturbed me in the morning. I was on the 3rd floor where I don't think dogs were to be. I did like the convenience of the hotel's location to shopping and restaurants. I will stay there again.

I highly recommend this hotel. My stay was enjoyable, with friendly staff and very clean rooms. The only improvement I’d suggest is offering more breakfast options, though the food was still good. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely return. I give it an A+ rating.

Room wasn’t clean, hairs in bathroom, pink mold on shower floor. Breakfast was very poor- no yogurt, no fresh milk choices, no fruit (old bananas and apples from the previous day) Hotel staff was non responsive about breakfast options- just that they “were out of a lot” TRU is normally my quick go to- but not in FarmVille, Va - stay elsewhere

The staff was the best part. They were so kind and helpful. The beds were great, especially the pillows. Thank goodness for good pillows. The shower was nice. The breakfast was tasty. There are a couple of things that need improvement. Such as the room had no closet or drawers. There were pegs for clothes, much like a pioneer house. However, we are not pioneers and have a need to put put things away during a multiple day stay. Things like shoes, underwear, socks, etc. We had to live out of our suitcases all weekend. That meant lifting our bags to the beds multiple times a day. We are senior citizens. This is not ideal for us and also unsanitary because out luggage has been everywhere and does not need to be on the clean bedding. Otherwise it was all good. Thank you.

Check in was easy. I requested a room w a bath tub. The staff physically checked the room to make sure I had a tub. Coffee is Lavazza a d available around the clock. Breakfast is hot and fresh and the attendant keeps it perfectly clean. Im staying w my dog and its easy to go in and out with him. This is TRU-ly a great hotel. This is my 2nd time here. Both Stays have been great. I just wish the pool was heated for winter🙂

I have stayed at other Tru Hotels, and this location was not as nice as the others. Rooms seemed smaller. Shower was awful because of horrible water pressure and strange placement of shower head. Breakfast was subpar compared to other Tru Hotels. Pancake machine was broken and was lacking other food items. Kids were running up and down hallway and yelling at 11pm with staff not concerned.

Room had a foul smell, pillows had odor from previous guests. The floor was dirty with crumbs all over and sticky. The guest in the room above us were extremely loud, banging on the floor and moving furniture until 1am. People were screaming in the hallway all night. The staff was nice, but breakfast was terrible, a few packaged muffins and bagels.

Overall the property was great. Well maintained and clean. There were a couple of things that could have been better. Although the English breakfast was very nice the staff took way too long on replenishing certain items like eggs. When they did they were cold.The 24 hour coffee tea service was very nice. My biggest issue I had was the noise level from the hallways at 6 am. The walls were not insulated on the interior. I would stay there again. Great value for the money.

Check in process wasn’t great but eventually got worked out. Floors in my room were greasy. Rooms are small- like really small. Had to pay for parking- this was a turn off. You aren’t a downtown hotel in a busy area- you shouldn’t do this.

We were really disappointed with our stay at Tru. We specifically chose Tru because we have always associated the brand with clean rooms and a nice pool, so unfortunately this stay fell far short of our expectations. When we arrived, the floors in our room were visibly dirty. I also had to go over the shower and toilet myself with Clorox wipes because they had not been properly cleaned. That is not something you expect to have to do when checking into a hotel room. The biggest disappointment, however, was the pool. It was chained off and the water was completely green and unusable. The pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. My husband had to work, and I had planned on taking our 2-year-old daughter to the pool during the day to keep her occupied. Instead, because the pool was closed and clearly not safe to use, we were stuck in the hotel room all day. I understand that maintenance issues can happen, but the condition of the room and especially the pool should have been addressed before guests arrived. Had we known the pool would be unavailable and that the room would not be properly cleaned, we would have chosen a different hotel. This was definitely not the experience we have come to expect from Tru, and unfortunately it left us very disappointed.

The stay would have been significantly better if it weren’t for the kids running, bumping, and yelling over our heads. I have never heard the people above me at any hotel before. It sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. I did not complain because it did stop before quiet hours, and I know how things can be traveling with children, I just wish we could have had a better experience.
