Poinciana Lodge - 2 bedroom - on Hamilton Island by HIHA

Hot water in the kitchen was hot but the hot water taps in both showers and the bath was not hot at all and that was little disappointing.

This property is in a great location with lovely view's and large and thats where it ends.When we got to the apartment it smelt like cooking oil and was dirty. The unit is for sale and tired. It needs a total revamp.The back sliding doors do not lock. Saftey hazard.The ensuite had a temporary hot water heater on the ground, WH and S issue. There was a damp smell in the main bathroom and ensuite. We used a pillow from a drawer in the WIR and through the night woke with cockroaches in our bed. There is mould in the shower.The main bed needs to be replaced.To the Managers credit, he helped fix as many issues as he could while we were there, but some things need more time and attention.Please make sure you check with the property Manager if all of these issues are fixed before you book or arrive.We love Hamilton Island and have stayed in many places, this is so disappointing as Poinciana is a nice block of apartments.

Great staff & location , they were waiting for us at the airport with the boogie plus bringing our luggage in another boogie , a big plus to have this included with the room , the view from the balcony it’s amazing including the wild life, very convenient to have washer and dryer. Have a late check out because a late flight. I will stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay however the apartment needs modernisation and layout is strange. A second bathroom would be great and updated furniture is needed. Views are great and and apartments is spacious if the owner updated the apartment it would make it an ideal stay on the island. Also the pool on the property needs to be resurfaced.

Great size and location. Attention to cleaning required, lots of dust and filters from washing machine extremely unclean.
