This is a great little motel - very clean and well-maintained, with free parking. Although it's on a busy road it is well-lit and felt safe. It was convenient to have a fridge and microwave since I stayed for a few days. No frills but excellent value!

The price was right for a clean and quiet room. Free parking is a bonus compared to hotels downtown (which can be as high as $50 a night!). While the location isn’t as convenient, most all of the points of interest are within 10-15 minutes.

We loved our stay here! My husband wants to stay every time we come to Portland to see our kids! We love the outside door which you can drive right up to. Everything inside and outside is CLEAN CLEAN!! Microwave, frig, coffee maker and free wifi all pluses! No breakfast but we don’t care about that.

Extraordinarily well maintained motel with very clean and comfortable rooms. It lacked, however, any breakfast accommodation, not even a coffee dispenser. Coffee and a donut would have made a bid difference.

This room was a good rate for a one night stay. Check in was good and easy, and as a single lady, I appreciated being in a room right next to the office. I checked in at almost dark and the room seemed very clean. However, the next morning I discovered the bugs in the bathroom and close to the bathroom. I did let the owners know and they stated that they had just had the whole place sprayed, but obviously not good enough. Even though the motel is on a busy road, it was pretty quiet after dark. They need to add an ice machine for customers. Had a nice frig/freezer and microwave. There were no bugs in or even near the bed. I would stay there again, providing they are able to rid the room of the bugs.

This is the second time I have stayed at this small family-run business. My room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with free parking right outside the rooms. I even had a little kitchenette. It's in a sort of suburban area but not too far from downtown.

Folks This place is awesome. The room was super clean. The heat worked great. The bed was comfortable. I actually loved that my car was just a few feet from my door. Who needs a fancy lobby and a long walk to the car anyway. The best thing.... they made my need every day, took out my trash and tidied up. That was like pre-covid! The area is good. Many decent restaurants. A Fred Meyer down the street. Green, Tai, Sushi, Mexican, American..... almost any food. I flew out at 5am. So, the night before I went to the gas station to fill up. It took me 5 minutes to be back in my room. This is a turn back the clock type of motel. I will only stay here next time.

The reviews are true! This is a gem. Spotlessly clean, decent neighborhood, easy check in and a good value. Very little road noise in the room despite being near the freeway. We got a suite which had a kitchenette. Be aware there were no dishes, pots, utensils, etc. so bring your own. There are no machines that I saw, so light on the amenities. Other than that, it was great.

Everything was good until they charged us $25 extra night for our grandson. Made service was good. The carpet was filthy! I told my grandson do not walk on the floor without shoes. !!! It was great having a full-size refrigerator and stove. We did not use the stove, but one of the things I didn’t like was there was no place in the bathroom to set your toiletries and there was not a bathtub. There was no place to do laundry and, only a shower

I’ve been coming to Portland 1-2 times a year since `22 and always book here. The rooms are always spotless and the property always feels safe both day and night! The owners could easily charge a higher rate than what they do. I’ve read a few reviews concerning being so close to the freeway and you do hear traffic sometimes but I have never personally had an issue with noise being too disruptive.

Seems like a small town that has a gas station and a variety of places to eat close by. Easy to get to the freeway. Check-in was easy and they were very friendly and helpful. Close to the places in Portland that we were visiting so it was convenient. Gave it 4 stars because the carpet had something on it when we arrived. I easily cleaned it up so not a big deal but still.

This has been my go-to place quite a few times now. Friendly, family owned biz and as hard as it is to keep a place pristine, they certainly care and have that in mind. The rooms I've stayed in have been comfy, clean and I know I'll be back again.

Hotel grounds and rooms were very, very clean! The outside of motel was very quaint! This is a family owned business and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything nice. Water pressure in shower was also great. Based on the reasonable rates, we were extremely impressed overall and highly recommend staying there!

This is a great motel with budget-friendly prices. I was expecting a single room with two queen beds and instead we had a suite of four rooms. Amazing! The mattresses are a little on the soft side, and although it's great to have a kitchenette, you'll need to bring your own cutlery, etc., if you plan to eat there. (And I can totally understand why the property might not want to stock those items.) I particularly appreciated the flexibility when checking in. It was a shame that I couldn't use my Apple Card, but everything worked out in the end with my other payment options.

Check in was easy and smooth. I arrived early and they accomodated an early checkin. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable My room looked like it had been updated, except for the bathroom and carpet.

Surprisingly clean and up kept for a motel. Had no noise from neighbors but it is in-between two main roads. Not much in the way of walking distance attractions but that wasn't what I was looking for. Will definitely stay again when traveling on the motorcycle

This is a great budget motel that has been renovated nicely. The best part for me is they actually offer a two bedroom (with just one bathroom) so there is separation for privacy for those who need it. My only issue is if you use debit they jack up the residual deposit, which is hefty compared to what bigger chains charge. It is also loud because it butts up against the freeway.

This place was great! I got a suite with a kitchen for a brief business trip. It was affordable, impeccably clean, quiet, and comfy. I loved having a kitchen to avoid having to go out to eat.

We only stayed for 1 night, but we were impressed. Nothing fancy, but it was clean & comfortable. Pretty cool that you can get a 2-bed room & each bed is in its own little room; this was perfect for my dad & me. The woman that checked us in had the customer service skills of a cranky toad. Long dark hair, nose piercing, & fake nails that were way too long (think Wolverine from X-Men). She sucked, but everything else about the place was nice & I'd definitely stay there again.

I've stayed here numerous times. Privately owned and you can tell they attempt to keep things clean and in good condition. I feel safe when I stay and the rooms have always been clean and communications great.

Never fails...great stay each time and I've stayed here many times. Love the interactions with staff (owners/family and hired alike). The different rooms I've stayed in have all been welcoming and comfortable (although I do have a favorite, which they give me whenever possible). Family owned and well kept. I'll be staying again soon, I'm sure.

The room and facility was great , well cleaned and maintained. the person on front desk was not friendly. but other than that ,the htoel is good for a night or 2 stay close to portland downtown and seemed safe location

When I arrived i tried to use my debit card and they were going to charge me 250.00 deposit . I said I travel all over US and have never paid that much. It was 100.00 for credit card deposit . She claimed this is on their website but I booked through you and it said nothing about a deposit of that amount . I was in the room preparing for my 11:00 check out and they call me on the room phone and start telling me I need to be out by 11:00 . I said I know this I still have 15 minutes what is the problem . When I get to the desk the lady was being rude and then her husband comes rushing out aggressively and starts cursing me . This is ridiculous I have never been treated like this at a hotel . The place may have been cleaned but everything was old and nothing to be acting like anyone would want to steal that old worn out stuff
When I arrived i tried to use my debit card and they were going to charge me 250.00 deposit . I said I travel all over US and have never paid that much. It was 100.00 for credit card deposit . She claimed this is on their website but I booked through you and it said nothing about a deposit of that amount . I was in the room preparing for my 11:00 check out and they call me on the room phone and start telling me I need to be out by 11:00 . I said I know this I still have 15 minutes what is the problem . Family-owned business. Patient and helpful staff and were very accommodating when I requested to stay another night last minute. Very clean room. I have yet to hear any noise from neighboring room. It did smell a bit musty when I walked in, but I aired it out which helped. The shower is also pretty small but had hot water/good pressure. Convenient location to Lewis/Clark.

The price was right for a clean and quiet room. Free parking is a bonus compared to hotels downtown (which can be as high as $50 a night!). While the location isn’t as convenient, most all of the points of interest are within 10-15 minutes.

SW Portland isn’t full of great basic motel options, but this nicely refurbished old place is a good one. Clean. Fairly well insulated against road noise. Helpful manager. Pleasant and convenient.

Surprisingly clean and up kept for a motel. Had no noise from neighbors but it is in-between two main roads. Not much in the way of walking distance attractions but that wasn't what I was looking for. Will definitely stay again when traveling on the motorcycle

I enjoyed my stay at the Capitol Hill Motel very much. Convenient, central, safe, quiet location. Very short drive (or bus ride) to Multnomah Village, a nice village with unique stores and restaurants. I highly recommend it!

I loved this Motel! Staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was modern and clean and the place is close enough to downtown Portland, and the major highways. Also plenty of restaurants and grocery stores on Barbur blvd where the property is located.I would definitely stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed at this small family-run business. My room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with free parking right outside the rooms. I even had a little kitchenette. It's in a sort of suburban area but not too far from downtown.

Its located between the freeway and highway so expect some car noise. White noise will drown it out while sleeping. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay close to downtown Portland. I had a good experience.

I stayed at Capitol Hill Motel because it is conveniently close to the college where my daughter is. Easy access to highway and to good food. The room was very clean and no smoke smell (a huge plus for me, since I hate smoky rooms or heavily perfumed rooms where they try to hide the smoke smell). I didn't know when I checked in that they would clean my room every day, but it was a welcome surprise. I stayed for 4 days, and every day my bed was made and they gave me a fresh set of towels and shower kit. I appreciated the large mini fridge with freezer and microwave, since I had groceries during my stay. The only downside was that the highway is a bit noisy.

The owners take great care to maintain a beautiful boutique motel outside the congestion of downtown Portland, but within easy reach. It is my preferred stayover because several delicious restaurants and coffee shops are within a few minutes drive. The beds are very comfortable, the colors of the interior are quite calming and the mini-frig, coffee maker, etc. are good for a quick cup in the morning and to store the leftovers from those tasty spots nearby. Check it out.

We loved our stay here! My husband wants to stay every time we come to Portland to see our kids! We love the outside door which you can drive right up to. Everything inside and outside is CLEAN CLEAN!! Microwave, frig, coffee maker and free wifi all pluses! No breakfast but we don’t care about that.

Extraordinarily well maintained motel with very clean and comfortable rooms. It lacked, however, any breakfast accommodation, not even a coffee dispenser. Coffee and a donut would have made a bid difference.

The reviews are true! This is a gem. Spotlessly clean, decent neighborhood, easy check in and a good value. Very little road noise in the room despite being near the freeway. We got a suite which had a kitchenette. Be aware there were no dishes, pots, utensils, etc. so bring your own. There are no machines that I saw, so light on the amenities. Other than that, it was great.

I was very pleased how clean it was. The maid service was amazing and i left her a tip and a note. The check in staff was very pleasant and super nice and knowledgeable, i enjoyed going to the local safeway to shop for food, it was a very cool grocery store that i have never experienced before, oeople were very friendly. The coffee stand next to the motel was stellar and i highly enjoyed the name of the stand cslled "cranky Coffee". I cane to the city to have an out paitant surgery and it was very comforting to rest, very comfortable bed and love having a kitchen. I highly recommend this place and would give them 10 stars.

We just wanted a convenient, economical place to stay for a couple of nights and this was perfect. It was clean, safe and the staff were very nice. Lots of restaurants nearby. This was easy access to downtown Portland and surrounding area-without staying downtown. No frills but perfect to lay your head at night.

Fabulous motel with not only 2 queen beds, we had 2 rooms so we both had quiet nights. Room was well equipped and immaculate. Highly recommend. No breakfast, but plenty of fast food nearby.
