Dingy, and had a weird funky smell the rooms themselves were minimal to say the least. Also poorly cleaned, the cable and Wi-Fi were garbage. Had to use a physical key to get into the building and room, locks were finicky, managers smelt like stool.

Have stayed at this hotel every summer for years. It has everything we need to relax after a day of sightseeing. If you're looking for a pool it doesn't have one.

They advertise they have a pool when there is no pool you have to go to the rec center but they have limited hrs they dont twll you about. We checked in at 6pm and the rec center closed at 5pm. Was very disappointing with breakfast as it was glazed donuts that look and tasted a few days old and 2 kinds of cereal. Thats all. No coffee in room nothing.

When I arrived at 9:30 am; entrance was locked. Rang the ring bell and other bell on handwritten sign. No answer. I left and came back at 2pm check in time. Same situation. I called the number on sign and a man had to call his wife to come open the door to front desk lobby. I checked in got and old school key to open outside door and room. Room was average. Not enough towels. The shower never got hot. Just lukewarm water. No cable TV working. Just basic local channels. Only $74 , so you get what you pay for. Will not stay there again.

Great location and price. But absolutely not taken care of. Carpets hadn't been vacuumed in months, garbage in common area overflowing for 4 days. Breakfast was rock hard donuts and brown bananas. Front desk was rarely there.

I’ve been staying at the Landmark Motel for years. It’s clean, simple and affordable. However, it’s been going downhill since the new owners took over. My husband and I stayed a couple nights ago and what a disappointment. Upon entering the room, we noticed that they had spackled up a bunch of spots on the walls that weren’t sanded or painted. Not a huge deal. We dropped our bags in the room and went to dinner. When we got back, I turned on the heat to warm the room and waited. Because we got back late, and we usually sleep in a cool room we just thought we’d deal and let management know the heat wasn’t working in the morning. Then I turned on the fan in the bathroom. It sounded like a jackhammer. Again, we would just let them know about that too. Then I noticed the mildew around the facet in the bathroom. But to top it all off, we found a tissue that had blood on it in the bed. Which led us to believe the sheets weren’t changed. When we checked out, I mentioned the heat and fan to the manager. He started by saying that he thought the heat was fixed and continued with excuses and told me that the owners don’t want to put any money into the place and if they did, they would have to raise the rates and then they won’t rent out as many rooms. My thought is that if things don’t get fixed or cleaned properly, no one will come back. Because he wasn’t hearing me or my concerns, I didn’t even mention the mildew or bloody tissue. We won't be coming back.

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the tv had a lot of channels and we got to watch the brewer game so that was great. I would definitely stay there again.

Arrived for a late check-in just before 11pm and was greeted promptly by a very friendly gentleman who made the process very easy. For an older building, everything was clean and relatively updated. Would stay again for sure based on this experience.

The staff were really nice but I was underwhelmed by the sheets. We stayed there for two nights and both nights the sheets lost their elasticity and were scrunched in the bed. The tub also had a scum ring around it that I could scratch off with my fingernail. The breakfast was nice for cold options and the communal facilities were clean. I could not find any dust in the room and the air conditioning was nice and worked great.

Dirty. A fingernail in the bathroom on the toilet and food inside the pull out couch.

I couldn’t believe how thin the walls were. I could hear everything our neighbor was saying. There were only about six customers in the whole hotel. They could’ve spaced Customers apart, so they wouldn’t be bothered by the noise of people coming in late and just sitting around talking, which was not that big of a deal except for the walls were so thin so It made it a big deal. Oddly enough, the caretakers room was one of the loudest TVs in the whole place. A recent remodel was done, but the furniture and walls needed a good cleaning. The rate was cheap. We got what we paid for.

This hotel was really outdated with no ammenties. We stayed 3 nights and only seen hotel staff at check-in and check-out which was the same guy. A/C unit was so old and loud it had to be turned off at night. The only good things are that the area seemed safe and the room was fairly clean.

Room was like a refrigerator. Assuming cleaning crew had left the air conditioner at 60*F. Had to turn off a/c and run heat to get room to 72*. Bath exhaust fan is very loud. Room has a digital alarm clock but no radio. TV choices are good, shower pressure good and I slept well.

Room had terrible odor. Wall AC unit held in place with duct tape, bed linens looked like they were slept in, asked for extra pillows we got 2 small square throw pillows from lobby couch. We could not stay, tried to notify staff but could not find anyone to talk to, ended up leaving room key on check in counter, would not recommend this property one but!!! Am going to seek a refund!!!

For the price, this little place was perfect. Clean and comfortable. The staff was great. Gary made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Booked this hotel for the NFL draft. It was a place to lay our head and for that, it worked. The pros: Cost effective, close enough to all the weekend activities. Bed was comfortable. The Cons: Well, first off, the undersheet for the bed was stained and didn't really fit the bed. I asked for an extra pillow (we had three for two people) and the owner was incredibly rude. He did eventually give us an extra pillow. The "breakfast" was toast, bananas, doughnuts coffee and Hawaiian punch. Hotel is dated, but I won't hold that against anyone. All in all, our stay was comfortable, worked for what we needed it for.

I travel every week for my job and even though this hotel is outdated, it was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The manager went above and beyond and I will definitely be back.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality. I drove an Amish friend to Shawano and I wanted to save him some money compensating me for the trip, so I selected this place in Clintonville that was much lower cost than anything in Shawano. I was expecting a dump. When I arrived several smokers were sitting on the front porch, so I was expecting clientele to be bad. When I arrive in my room I was pleased: clean, well kept, fresh appearance. I would recommend this place to a friend or family member.

A small family run business. Close to local bars and restaurants. The breakfast was coffee, concentrated juice, fruit, 2 types of cereal, mini muffins, toast with butter and some hard donuts. Did not have any sound from the TV in the room. Bed was good and room was clean. Looking for inexpensive place to stay this was fine. Close to some nice breakfast restaurants and some local shopping.

The unique property reminded us of our grandmas place, all the old, antique furniture. The suite room was very spacious. The price was reasonable. It said we would get breakfast, but there was only a 6 pack of donuts. Ooooopppps - not what we expected. We would stay again for this price.

The staff were very nice. The room was cleanish, they could pay attention to the corners in the bathroom when cleaning. The pool and hot tub looked nice, but didn’t try them out as they were always full of kids. The price was very reasonable. The breakfast was good a lot of options.

A breakfast was advertised and none was served. "They must have forgot to put it out," said the shoeless clerk, who made no effort to provide any.

So what the hotel advertised wasn’t true no sugar for coffee stale donuts n bread for breakfast only 2 towels n washcloth in the room little tv and Male manager very very very rude never will stay there again and charged me more then what hotel.com advertised as nightly price very disappointing all around
