My review is not aimed at the staff. They were all polite and helpful. I appreciated that there was only a ground floor and it was easy to get my things in and out of the room. However, the shower was so tiny I could barely use it. The room itself is extremely small and the furniture is due to be replaced. They advertise that they have wifi but the connection is so weak that you can’t really do anything with it. It seemed like every other room in the place was being used by workers who were there to repave the highway. They were very noisy. The property in general was very run down and I struggled to lock my room at night. I did not feel safe there. Potential guests should also be aware that the entire area surrounding Willow Creek has some kind of road construction going on, so there were huge trucks barreling through, beeping, coming and going at all hours. And the road was down to a single lane in many places. This was the noisiest little town in the woods I’ve ever visited.

It was a bit tricky to find the parking but after that of was smooth sailing! If you want somewhere relatively cheap, next to a dispensary, grocery store, multiple gas stations, and places to eat. Then this would be the place to go. You are also 10 minutes from the trinity river! Overall a great location.

The room was very outdated and did not feel clean. The carpet was gross and the beds not in great shape. We stayed because my son wanted the Bigfoot experience from Buzzfeed. I would not stay again. Nice people but it needs a major overhaul to bring it up to date as well as a very deep cleaning.

Did not want to take shoes off while in the room. There was black mold on the ceiling in bathroom. The sheets did not fit the bed (my feet touched the mattress cover) and the pillows were like old used flat things.

Stayed at Big Foot Motel for three nights. Positively, we were upgraded due to a non-working TV, which was a nice touch. However, the room had issues: a dirty, unusable fan; found used clothes under the bed; and frequent bumble bee visits in the bathroom. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, necessitating the purchase of an air freshener, and the outside area smelled of cat urine. On the upside, the large bathroom and three effective heaters made our stay comfortable. The fridge, microwave, and TV functioned well. Its location was convenient, close to food, a gas station, the river, and our family, making it ideally situated. Despite the cleanliness and maintenance issues, the motel’s location and some amenities provided a decent stay. With improvements, Big Foot Motel could be a much better choice for travelers.

This little motel is conveniently located and the manager is nice. The room was not the cleanest. The vents were really dusty and we found a dead cockroach in the kitchen! The A/C worked but not great and I got up at 5:30am to no hot water so I nuked some water and gave myself a sponge bath.

I am currently in the process of hopefully working to contact the business owner for some issues with their system, but there were holes in the curtains and blankets, and a pill in a corner of the bathroom. The shower had no trim along the floor of the bathroom so likely there’s mold there. There were opened food containers of ice cream and orange juice in the fridge. One of the beds had sand on it. TV remote seem to have dead batteries and the TV and microwave plugged in with an extension cord that I’m guessing violates fire code.

I had a bad night in my life in this motel, it's a real disaster. I don't see that there is a place like this in America but I am very disappointed just they take your money and that's it. It is very very dirty. The service is very bad

I knew the motel was older....but it just went downhill from there. 2 of the lights in the room were out. One missing a switch. Carpet was old, soiled with a wear pattern. Dresser was stained and dirty inside. Room 23 needed everything replaced except the bed. No hair dryer. Extention cords powering things. Bed was clean but that is a given. We stayed because it was raining. TV was partial funtioning, sink missing stopper.....loud neighbors. Interesting artwork view out bathroom window.

Run down and understaffed is an understatement. The front office lady was nice but clearly overwhelmed by running the check-ins and trying to do housekeeping. Room wasn’t very clean, old nasty food in the fridge, stove was dirty and greasy, few dead roaches chilling on the floor. No towels or tp when checking in. Old beat down beds and furniture. Soft floors in a few spots. A/C unit not working well. Had to buy a fan at the local hardware to be comfortable, hope they can remodel and invest into better facilities soon.

The room was ok...floor wasn't very clean, bottom sheet didn't even fit the bed so your feet are on the matress pad, floor around toilet was extremely squishy, huge gaps around door that I'm sure a rodent could crawl under, parking area had cigarette and pot butts all over and dumpster was over full. No one checked the room when we were out so our 1 very small trash can was overflowing when we left, just seemed un kept overall.

this is an old hotel needing repairs, improvment. The bathroom floor felt soft and inclined down, the toilet paper holder was missing one side, the shower was very small & you could barely move around. The bed was soft and squeakly. The air conditioner was so high and could not see the controls. It worked good though. NO coffee maker in the room. There were neighbors who lived next to the hotel who were loud & partied until 2:30 AM so we didn't sleep well.

It is an older property That it seems they are trying to fix up. It is quite btut my floor wasn't level and the head of the bed was at low end.

Average budget motel room, slightly dingy but overall fine. Check in guy was really friendly, place felt safe, bed was comfortable, shower had hot water and good pressure. But I did notice there was no smoke alarm in the room, and they were kind of cheap with the linens (no bath mat). No really Bigfoot theme either, although there were a few Bigfoot pictures in my room. The vibe was kind of depressing, but I would probably stay there again because it was located right in the middle of town, and like I said, it was basically fine.

Tv was not working, hot water took over 5 minutes to reach room. Old, not enough towels. Shower was very very small!! Bed was not bad, had to see the room, to know. Will not be back. Do not recommend. Unless it is last place available around the area.

I thought l registered for 2 persons. Apparently l didn't. The manager noticed me and went ballistic. She came in with a sign that said failure to disclose a 2nd person meant having to pay $50. I gave her my card to pay. She threw it on the bed. She took my friend ID and said she was going to call the sheriff. Very weird experience. It all happened because l asked for soap and shampoo because there was none in the room.

I was looking for a basic, no-frills room at a great price and this place filled the bill perfectly. I especially liked the receptionist, (I forgot his name), who was very warm and friendly, got me set up in my room right away, and gave me a parking place with access to an electrical plug which I needed. He also went out of his way to find me a chair in the evening when he saw me sitting out front with a beverage taking in the view. What more could you ask for?

We won't stay there again. We had to wait two hours in our car for heat before personnel arrived. We should have left but had driven all day and couldn't go further. Wish they told us when we talked to the mgr they would be back in 2 hrs and not just "pretty soon." There is no sufficient heat in the rooms and a space heater is not acceptable. One bed was unusable so we used the otherr double bed in the room. Woefully uncomfortable and stripped the other bed for its extra blanket to stay warm.The carpeting was too filthy to walk on, the bathroom had NO toilet paper, drapes didn't fit window correctly for privacy. It was bad. The owner is not on site and needs to address this nightmare!

Run down and understaffed is an understatement. The front office lady was nice but clearly overwhelmed by running the check-ins and trying to do housekeeping. Room wasn’t very clean, old nasty food in the fridge, stove was dirty and greasy, few dead roaches chilling on the floor. No towels or tp when checking in. Old beat down beds and furniture. Soft floors in a few spots. A/C unit not working well. Had to buy a fan at the local hardware to be comfortable, hope they can remodel and invest into better facilities soon.

Although it is an older hotel it was clean and well maintained. In the middle of downtown so just parked and walk. Right on the highway which had minimal traffic at night which i did not hear.

My review is not aimed at the staff. They were all polite and helpful. I appreciated that there was only a ground floor and it was easy to get my things in and out of the room. However, the shower was so tiny I could barely use it. The room itself is extremely small and the furniture is due to be replaced. They advertise that they have wifi but the connection is so weak that you can’t really do anything with it. It seemed like every other room in the place was being used by workers who were there to repave the highway. They were very noisy. The property in general was very run down and I struggled to lock my room at night. I did not feel safe there. Potential guests should also be aware that the entire area surrounding Willow Creek has some kind of road construction going on, so there were huge trucks barreling through, beeping, coming and going at all hours. And the road was down to a single lane in many places. This was the noisiest little town in the woods I’ve ever visited.

It was a bit tricky to find the parking but after that of was smooth sailing! If you want somewhere relatively cheap, next to a dispensary, grocery store, multiple gas stations, and places to eat. Then this would be the place to go. You are also 10 minutes from the trinity river! Overall a great location.

We pulled into the parking lot and were extremely disappointed. There were old junky cars parked there. The motel looked beat up. The town was very run down. We did not get out of our car. We just kept driving. We did not stay.

The people were nice and hardworking. But the room was a disaster. The shower dripped constantly. There was a leak under the bathroom sink and water dribbling across the the bathroom floor. The air conditioner did not cool the room and when it was on it rattled so loudly I taped it in place with adhesive tape. We couldn't open the window because the screen was so bent out of shape that it no longer prevented mosquitos from flying in. The refrigerator worked but hadn't been defrosted in weeks? The combination lock on the door worked perfectly.

I chose middle-of-the-road stars only because we did not stay here. It was booked by mistake and we tried to correct it immediately but it was too late and we were charged. They were under no obligation to cancel us and return the fees, it was purely our very expensive mistake. However, I look forward to actually staying some time in the future.

I booked Bigfoot Motel with my partner and had a great experience. Check in and check out were both incredibly easy, and the room was very clean and comfortable.
