There are only a few parking spots near the hotel. We never saw a hotel worker once. They said to let ourselves in, and leave the key in the door on the way out.

This place is insane!!! We had the room with sea view in the upper level of the building. The guesthouse has everything what you wish for. You can use the washing machine for free. The kitchen is superclean, as well as the rooms. Perfectly perfect. Definitely recommend this one.

Lage hinter dem Hafen, war wohl früher ein Speicher o.ä.. Self-Checkinn problemlos dank Mail. Unterkunft wie beschrieben, großes Familienzimmer mit angemessener Ausstattung und ausreichend Platz für 2 Personen. Gemeinschaftsküche wobei es hier eng wird, wenn 6 Personen sich dort ausbreiten um zu kochen und essen. Dann bleibt nur noch übrig im Zimmer zu essen.

Very nice stay for 3 nights. The only negative is no TV available. Was great to have a full kitchen. We used that a lot after shopping at the nearbr grocery store in Blonduos. Saved a lot of meal money cooking meals. Also washer and dryer available after staff use at 4:00pm

True to its value, this is a beautiful property in a beautiful little town. There is only one restaurant in the area and it is absolutely wonderful. Really liked the rooms, and cleanliness. It had a well stocked kitchen and we could use the washer and drier at this family. The only thing we could ask for was better blinds. Its hard to sleep with so much light inside the room

Large room with a sea view. Parking by the door. Shared kitchen with coffee and tea. Geothermal hot water (although some may not like it) is a great new experience. A nice restaurant with icelandic food and pizza in walking distance. There is a great 2km hike along the cliffs (beware of seagulls) that starts almost at the doors. Area may not be very picturesque but this is definitely a great option if you need to spend a night in the area.

Tolles Guesthouse am Ende des Dorfes und am Rande des Hafens. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick was durchs große Panoramafenster auch gegeben ist. Zweistöckiges Gästehaus mit 14 Zimmer und pro Stockwerk eine absolut vollausgestattete Küche, sowie pro Stockwerk je eine Waschmaschine und ein Wäschetrockner von Samsung. Parkplätze am Haus und 30m höher auf den Dünen. Zimmer geräumig mit Sitzgelegenheit und sehr bequemen Betten. Was ganz wichtig ist: Haus hat heißes Wasser durch Geothermie. Heißt: das Wasser riecht was mn mögen muss! 😁In der Email nach Buchung wird auch ausdrücklich daeauf hingewiesen!😉

The property was located in a great spot. Very quiet and clean. The communal kitchen was great if you wanted to save some money on food. We ate at the harbour restaurant next door, highly recommend!

Not sure why Salthus is only rated 2 stars but in my opinion is better than 3 stars. Clean, warm comfortable bed and room(twin) with plenty of space. Large accessible shower & toilet room. Parking at door. Fully equipped kitchen although only I only made toast. Wonderful views of sea and mountains. Great walk nearby around sea cliffs. I did not meet any staff as self check in. Only a 15 minute drive from Bluondos. Thoroughly recommended.

The room is spacious and clean. The view is amazing and mesmerizing. The property is mouse quiet. The room had one operable window which allowed fresh air entry. The bed was very comfortable. The Harbor restaurant next door was VERY GOOD.

Excellent, updated/modern guesthouse. Kitchen has all the dining tools you need. Room is large and spacious as is the bathroom. The best part is the view from your room to the ocean. Saw whales from the rear of my room. Absolutely beautiful walk to beach and water from room. Highly recommend.

Adorable hidden gem of a stay! It was absolutely gorgeous and cozy. The rooms were a great size with access to a kitchen on each floor. No TV or AC unit in the room.

It’s a very good Guest House and it’s got facilities you need for cooking and washing your clothes. The only advice is that the rooms need to have TV and cable channels. As rooms currently don’t have these. I will still stay at the guesthouse though 👍👍👍

Staff was so friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms were very clean. The pool/spa is a minute walk just down the road, the front desk lady was so nice. Definitely recommend this place to stay!

La stanza era pulita e spaziosa, il bagno nuovo anche adatto a persone disabili. La cucina ben fornita di piatti, bicchieri e pentole varie per cucinare. La proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Il check in è stato semplice, abbiamo trovato un foglio con scritto i nostri nomi e le chiavi sulle porte delle stanze. L'unico neo è l'ubicazione della casa. Dalle foto sembra quasi isolata vicino al mare, in realtà si trova in una zona industriale tra conteiner e ciminiere. Devo dire che non abbiamo avuto problemi di rumori ma siamo rimasti delusi. Le foto del sito sono ingannevoli

The drive there alone is breathtaking, with stunning views of the landscape. The guesthouse is located near a cliff where you can gaze out at the vast ocean—if you’re lucky, it’s a perfect spot to photograph the aurora borealis. However, keep in mind that it’s a windy area. A short drive away is Kálfshamarsvík, home to a square-shaped lighthouse surrounded by green grass and basalt columns along the sea. It’s an amazing spot for photos and a must-see for nature lovers. The guesthouse itself offers comfortable beds and clean, spacious rooms. The two-story building is beautiful, but I recommend contacting the property if you have difficulty with stairs. For those who love nature and want to escape the crowds, this remote location is perfect. The peace and serenity you’ll feel here are truly unique. Εντιμη διαμονή μιας βραδιας σε όχι καλό σημειο (Περιοχή με επαγγελματικά κτηρια) Καθαρό δωμάτιο όμως είχε χαμηλή θερμοκρασία και κακή διαρρυθμιση. Αναπαυτικό στρώμα και πρόσβαση στο παρκινγκ. Ελλειψη ιδιωτικότητας λόγω θέσης του δωματίου. Πολυ μικρός χώρος πρωινού οχι ιδιαίτερα καθαρός που εξυπηρετουσε παράλληλα και τα πλυντήρια. Μια στοιβα λευκα είδη (πλυμμένα η άπλυτα?) στον καναπέ πρωινού και κάποιες άλλες λεπτομέρεις μας απέτρεψαν να χρησιμοποιησουμε το χώρο.

La stanza era pulita e spaziosa, il bagno nuovo anche adatto a persone disabili. La cucina ben fornita di piatti, bicchieri e pentole varie per cucinare. La proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Il check in è stato semplice, abbiamo trovato un foglio con scritto i nostri nomi e le chiavi sulle porte delle stanze. L'unico neo è l'ubicazione della casa. Dalle foto sembra quasi isolata vicino al mare, in realtà si trova in una zona industriale tra conteiner e ciminiere. Devo dire che non abbiamo avuto problemi di rumori ma siamo rimasti delusi. Le foto del sito sono ingannevoli

Large room with a sea view. Parking by the door. Shared kitchen with coffee and tea. Geothermal hot water (although some may not like it) is a great new experience. A nice restaurant with icelandic food and pizza in walking distance. There is a great 2km hike along the cliffs (beware of seagulls) that starts almost at the doors. Area may not be very picturesque but this is definitely a great option if you need to spend a night in the area.

The guesthouse is new, well designed and spotless. They have a full kitchen that one can use to cook a meal. The town is not very nice, but there is one good restaurant 3 min walk from the Guesthouse plus there’s a gas station where one can get snacks.

Tolles Guesthouse am Ende des Dorfes und am Rande des Hafens. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick was durchs große Panoramafenster auch gegeben ist. Zweistöckiges Gästehaus mit 14 Zimmer und pro Stockwerk eine absolut vollausgestattete Küche, sowie pro Stockwerk je eine Waschmaschine und ein Wäschetrockner von Samsung. Parkplätze am Haus und 30m höher auf den Dünen. Zimmer geräumig mit Sitzgelegenheit und sehr bequemen Betten. Was ganz wichtig ist: Haus hat heißes Wasser durch Geothermie. Heißt: das Wasser riecht was mn mögen muss! 😁In der Email nach Buchung wird auch ausdrücklich daeauf hingewiesen!😉

Lage hinter dem Hafen, war wohl früher ein Speicher o.ä.. Self-Checkinn problemlos dank Mail. Unterkunft wie beschrieben, großes Familienzimmer mit angemessener Ausstattung und ausreichend Platz für 2 Personen. Gemeinschaftsküche wobei es hier eng wird, wenn 6 Personen sich dort ausbreiten um zu kochen und essen. Dann bleibt nur noch übrig im Zimmer zu essen.

True to its value, this is a beautiful property in a beautiful little town. There is only one restaurant in the area and it is absolutely wonderful. Really liked the rooms, and cleanliness. It had a well stocked kitchen and we could use the washer and drier at this family. The only thing we could ask for was better blinds. Its hard to sleep with so much light inside the room

Very nice room and we enjoyed the kitchen facilities since there is limited dining in the area. They had a wonderful binder of information about the area and story of a Icelandic murder mystery.

Just a one night stay while making the round trip of the island. Place was one that we remarked on remembering as the shared space layout with own bathrooms was comfortable and inviting. We prepared our own dinner and breakfast while there which saved money during our trip.

Beautiful location - right on the water. Room was clean and comfortable. Well-appointed community kitchen and really appreciated access to the washer and dryer in the evening. FYI - the sulfur smell of the water is really strong here and didn't dissipate well even the morning after using the shower (aware this is not an issue specific to the property, but something to be aware of for those very sensitive to smells). We appreciated the helpful info sent by staff ahead of check in as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We could check-in early. The staff was helpful. Amazing kitchen with amenities and cooking needs. Good laundry facilities. The owner met with us and we had a nice chat. Great location to stay between Akureyri and Reykjavik.
