We recently stayed at Delfins Beach Resort in Bonaire and had an overall mixed experience. On the positive side, the resort is beautifully located and has great potential. The surroundings are stunning, and the atmosphere is relaxing—especially for families. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. However, an unpleasant urine-like smell was noticeable in several areas, including during breakfast, which impacted the overall experience. Service was inconsistent. Many staff members appeared young and, at times, inexperienced, leading to avoidable issues. Upon arrival, we were transported by caddy to our room on the other side of the resort. I literally had to hold all the luggage at the back, which felt unsafe and uncomfortable, as I nearly fell off during the ride. On our first morning, we had to walk to reception to confirm that breakfast was included—far from an ideal start to our stay. We also experienced unfriendly service from a car rental staff member affiliated with the hotel, luckily another employee later provided excellent assistance, including help with installing a child seat. At the Tropicana restaurant, service was slow. We often waited more than 20 minutes to place an order and an additional 20–30 minutes for the bill. On one occasion, the wait for menus was so long that we decided to leave. With improved staff training, clearer service routines, and better maintenance, the resort could truly live up to its full potential.

Beautiful tropical resort! Grounds are gorgeous, snorkeling right from the property, restaurants were wonderful. Staff was very welcoming. Had an exceptional time. Definitely strongly recommend.
