For the price, location, and ease of checkin, I would recommend Found by Sonder hotel to anyone. Check-in by far was the easiest I’ve ever had (app done through the their site) and I loved how they allowed you to store your bags prior to check-in, so I could explore the city with my carry-on.

I was in a room directly above the bar downstairs on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Wednesday the noise from the bar wasn't beyond regular street noise, on Thursday I could feel the vibrations until 2am. I imagine it is worse over the weekend but my room did already have a white noise machine in it. But I got the cheapest private room available in proximity to the loop, so I wasn't at all disappointed. The shared kitchen is also a really nice feature. There was often someone hanging out in there but I never saw anyone cook so if you plan on using it you should have no problems. I did take advantage of the luggage room before I checked in, but I would describe that as sketchy. There is a visible camera just outside of the room but none in the room, so as far as I know anyone could go into my bag and take things and as long as they don't take the bag itself there would be no way to know who did it. I was notified each day that the elevator was broken, and at times I saw people use it but I never did because I didn't want to get stuck. The shower was very nice, good flow and a big showerhead high enough that if you're 6ft you won't have to duck. As described they have a Roku TV that you can play your own services on, no cable TV.

Our room was clean. The shared kitchen space was well stocked and clean. Though the room was on the smaller side, it was sufficient as we spent most of our days exploring Chicago. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful little boutique hotel within walking distance of many things.

Good for Money. Compact room. No electric coffee maker in room but there is a separate kitchen where all facilities including electric kittley, coffee maker , stove , freeze washing area, and oven etc were available. Water should carry yourself from here. Hotel entry before 6 AM and after 9 PM is self by using given password.

Seriously such an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They held our luggage for us before our flight so we could go explore the city. We got back to the hotel and had time to kill before our flight but had already checked out of our hotel room, I went to the basement to use the public restroom to find an entire lounge area with couches, a tv, and a foosball table! We were able to get some work done before our flight and stay in the comfort of their lounge instead of the airport.

This was as much hotel as hostel - loved it! Super clean, super quiet, great lobby and location, and helpful staff there for most of the day making it feel like a HOTEL This place is head and shoulders above Sonder - SONDER SUCKS. This FOUND experience unlike Sonder was EASY - check-in, getting access, all without the deep identity violations of Sonder. Found was originally owned by Sonder (have I mentioned Sonder sucks?), now transitioning to management by Marriott. You could eat off the shower floor, bed was comfortable, sheets were nice. Immaculate community kitchen and modern lobby.

The room was relatively small, but it was okay for one person on a quick business trip. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The hotel provided a lot of communication (via text) before and after arrival. Very reasonable rates and felt safe. Had Roku TV, so I was able to log into the streaming service to watch a show at the end of the day. It took me a while to find parking, but I managed to find some nearby in an uncovered lot, within a block of the hotel. The only downfall was that the walls were thin, allowing me to hear the neighbors coughing and talking, as well as the folks upstairs thumping around. A big box fan was provided in the room, drowning out the noise. Overall good experience.

Stay was good. The hotel does not offer onsite parking. My vehicle was broken into and vandalized while parked in a nearby parking lot during my stay.

Great value for the location. The lobby feels upscale and high-end, creating a strong first impression. The rooms, however, are small and fairly basic. That said, the shower and provided toiletries were excellent and a nice touch. The keypad entry system for the building was a bit confusing and not the most user-friendly. Still, the unbeatable price for such a central location makes this hotel a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers.

It was very dirty

I am covered in bed bug bites and am probably going to have to get ride of all my luggage, clothing, and more. I had life needed medication that needed to be refrigerated and NO ONE could come up with viable solutions - no mini fridge, I’d have to pay to move rooms, go somewhere else. The bedding was so rough and uncomfortable. The heating didn’t work. The bathroom was absolutely freezing. There was light on the AC/Heater that I couldn’t reach or cover and didn’t allow for good sleep and kept me up all night. It also made a sound every few minutes that sounded like a vibrating text message that kept me up. Most of the charging stations in my room didn’t work.

Clean room! Chic design, located next door to a Dave's Hot Chicken. Cool neighborhood short walk to Museums/Art. Nice C.O. Bigelow hand wash, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Seemless check in (just make sure to upload your ID and photo).

We arrived and checked in to our room. Opened our door and it wasn’t cleaned. Went downstairs and talked to the front desk person and he took me up too a different room which again was not cleaned/ready. It

It was very much what I paid for. I had to book last minute accommodation and found this hotel. I booked the bunk bed room, and for my short stay it served its purpose. I found the bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been, I found hairs from other people and the floor hadn't been properly scrubbed in a minute, but the towels were clean and it was nothing egregious. Shower could use extra caulking. I hated the shower door. Extremely close to the toilet, and when you opened it, you either swung the door directly into the shower stream and got everything drenched, or you slammed it into the toilet itself. Also, no shelf in the bathroom, not even a hook for a washcloth. I understand they mounted the soap/shampoo/conditioner, but you need SOMETHING to hang your washcloth on. As for the room itself, my window was not properly sealed, and I could probably shove a folder in between it. Now, I did not tell the front desk, as I was literally only there for one full night, but I noticed that due to the rain outside, it let a lot of moisture in, and that ended up making me feel sick with the AC unit trying to combat it. As for the hallways, when the rain was going on, the entire hallway felt incredibly humid, as if there wasn't a way to regulate the humidity. I really did not appreciate that. The lobby area was fine, did not use the communal kitchen. I appreciate the security with the double doors. The area was absolutely fine, never felt unsafe.

Room cleanliness and amenities are at an all time low. The bed corners need to be vacuumed for extreme dust. We are allergic to dust. Ac needs to be cleaned, terrible loud sound when in use. Iron didn’t work. Blow dryer had an horrific smell when used. The best part was our bed being remade with the same stained sheets. Why enter our room to do that? Had to personally go to front desk and retrieve fresh bedding and towels. Bathroom towel for the floor had wet shoe prints. The other towels and rags were damp. The room was literally in use prior to our check in. Based on the hairs the person could have been a honey/dirty blonde. When changing the bed I realized the mattress covers weren’t changed hence more relic hairs on it. Amazing turn over. I blame the hotel for the allotted cleaning time these cleaners are given. The two draws in the room had the nerve to be broken. This place was used to shower and sleep sadly. Bed and pillows were like concrete. The saving grace was the dispensary across the street.

The hotel seemed good at first. After the second night I was attached by bed bugs. When asked for assistance or compensation for a new room or medical bills, I was ignored and passed around staff. Do not stay here.

The rooms are very small which we are normally fine with but even placing a medium size suit case in the room was a problem. Need more storage areas in the room. Also adding safes to the room would be nice.

I had to book a bunk bed room because it was the only type available. Everything was nice, pleasant, and clean for no frills hotel experience. My only complaint is that the bunk bed rooms need a chair. There was no place to be in the room except standing or lying down even though a simple chair would fit next to the bed. The outlets are also very inaccessible and plugs fall out of them.

I was there for meetings so it did ok, but during the weekend the entire building was shaking from the music below and I was on the 4th floor (earplugs don't stop the walls from shaking, btw). No coffee pot, or fridge, fyi. Bathroom sink plug was broken (stuck closed). AC unit had an annoying squeal. There's a window but it just opens up to corrugated metal siding and a tiny bit of daylight. If you are a light sleeper or want to hang out in the room much, not highly recommended. If you just need a place to sleep and don't mind the walls shaking, it does the job.

This is a great example of “you get what you pay for.” I spent a lot of time searching for a hotel in downtown Chicago that was walking distance to a lot of the tourist spots. Not surprisingly, many of them were $300+/night. We went with Found because the pictures looked nice, great location, and was the most reasonably priced. What we got was less than ideal. The clerk gave us our room number and a 6 digit code to open the door. It didn’t work so I had to go back down and ask for help. The manager met us at the room and he couldn’t open it either. After several minutes he was able to get it open but the code still wasn’t working. So we went to dinner and they fixed it while we were gone and gave us a new code. The room was spartan. Not even a chair to sit in. The TV only works if you subscribe to a streaming service and log into your account on their TV. We couldn’t find any free channels. No coffee machine in the room. the room was barely big enough for the bed, which was comfortable. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. The bathroom was poorly designed. The shower stall was small and to turn on the hot water you have to open the door into the shower. So you turn on the shower while standing outside of it and wait a couple of minutes until the hot water arrives and then to get in the shower you open the door inwards and the shower is spraying on the outside part of the door until you get in and close it, but by now the floor outside the shower is wet.

The room windows looked into an inner light shaft, and other rooms. Not much light or privacy. The staff were nice but could not help me get into another room (had to be done via Orbitz?). It was a bummer compared to the Found in San Francisco.

The automated, new age room rental is for kids. The lack of on-sight human intelligence made this visit miserable. First of all, Expedia misrepresented the room by putting a queen size bed on a room listing that has four twins. Sonders could have made the changes I. Good faith, but instead said they want another $90 to give me the queen room I thought I was getting based on the reservation. Upon arrival, the elevator was inoperable so I had to carry my 48 pound suitcase up three sections of emergency stairwell stairs, I’m almost 60’years old. The four twin bunkbed room that I was erroneously assigned was like a prison cell. Narrow, cramped and the windows led to alley walls, trash pick up, drunks etc. The marketing material talks about shared kitchen, coffee, and amenities, but there is no one to run and refill the amenities. It’s basically a big hostel. Kids with backpacks, drunk young adults coming in and out all night long. I needed a late check out due to an appointment at 10. You can use their “use at your own risk” storage room, or you can haul your suitcases 5 blocks to a Bounce in Hotel Felix. In fact you might just want to stay at Hotel Felix instead. They were very accommodating and helpful. Self sufficient, electronic automation is coming but the lack of human interaction and problem solving was a bummer. I won’t do this again.

Brian (front desk team) made everything about our stay fantastic. He is friendly, professional, and attentive. The hotel is safe and spotless, highly recommend!

Got checked in at my arrivals (5 hours earlier than the normal check in time of 3pm). Helpful staff and smooth check in process

I was unhappy that the receptionist still asked me to fill the online arrival questionnaire even if I can hand to him my ID and credit card. I was put on hold three times on the line for more than 5 minutes when I called the front desk and tried to ask a simple question. The personal help part of the business was minimum and unpleasent.

We loved our stay at the Found Hotel. Room was clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, there was a place for our luggage after checking out so we could still roam the city without the hassle of our bags. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Wonderfully clean room! My only difficulty was with checking out when there was no one at the desk. I tried texting and had to leave before anyone appeared or answered my text — this was at 7am, so not too early, I wouldn’t think

Brian at the front desk was the perfect help during my stay, he assisted with the many bags i came in with, helped my when my reservation wasn’t correct & provided the best hospitality for me. it made my stay so much more easeful, i can’t overstate my gratitude.

Keycode entry is complicated to use. They don't have regular staff in lobby so they have a keypad entry to get in. The thing is, there are 3 doors that need to be opened (one for the outside door, another for the lobby entrance, another for your room). The area is very noisy, with people in the street yelling at early hours of the day. Our room did not have a small fridge, nor did it have kleenex. All in all, this is an average hotel that needs to be revamped.

I really like the concept of what they were trying to do with this place, but while it tried to be speed, innovative, and modern, it was subpar to most hotel chains in the areas of cleanliness, communication, and helpfulness. My room linens were dirty with stains on them. Hair was in the crevices all around the top and bottom bunks. The toilet paper rack was just hanging there, dislodged from the wall. And then, with all of this, there is no one on site to assist you with these problems. I called once during my stay for help, was told I would hear back from someone taking care of my problem, and never heard back from anyone. Cool concept, poor execution.

I “found” this hotel by chance when booking my ‘round the country Amtrak trip. It is in the River North area, and has very good restaurants nearby. The place is very cool, and staff are very nice. I would definitely stay again if in Chicago.

Charming hotel room in a walkable area with several nearby food and transportation options. If you’re a light sleeper, the street noise at night might be a problem for you, but I enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again

I liked the fact that it is close to everything. It’s very easy to walk downtown, the Navy Pier and the museums. The neighborhood has different restaurants, convenient stores and bars. Great location, accessible rate!

This was a good low-cost option for a short sight-seeing trip to Chicago. The bed was very comfortable. It was a little warm in the room but not horrible. The shower was big enough! If I was staying longer I would want the mini fridge and coffeepot in my room! The studio is really small - no where to sit except the beds. That was perfectly acceptable to my teenage granddaughter. The only place to sit and work was in the lobby and there is a VERY noisy bar next door, so not a good option for a work trip. We did not need to speak to anyone, so I don't really know how their communication is.

The hotel staff was super nice, our room was clean and the location is great. Downsides are the no on site parking, no min fridge in your room and no ice maker/ filtered water on site. Definitely could use those amenities.

This hotel is in a lovely part of town, easily accessible to many restaurants, stores, public transportation, and a short walk to the rivers edge. The hotel itself was lovely. My room was quite small, but that was not a problem especially with the beautiful lobby space downstairs. The kitchen was also clean and well organized. I would definitely return!

No room service to order food, no good customer service. Despite me asking the hotel receptionist twice, no housekeeping came to clean up my bedroom. Do not stay at at this hotel. It was absolutely one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at! Run before you stay at this hotel. I want a full refund from this horrible terrible hotel..

Lovely place. Simple but not basic. Keypad entry to building and room worked great. There’s a nice, clean kitchen for coffee and for guests to cook at, should they want. Well done, overall.

Given that it is in a bar district. It was noisy at times in the hallway of our room late at night. The room itself was clean and functional. As far as amenities it would be nice to have a coffee maker. Overall the place was decent and the neighborhood offers a lot of options

Excellent location, amazing price. No nonsense stay, you only get the basics here but very clean and simple. Pros: no carpet in rooms, no extra frilly pillows or curtains, all surfaces look like they can be easily wiped down and disinfected. You can actually open the windows. Self serve toiletry station. Coded locks instead of keys. Great location close to restaurants and bus stops. THE PRICE!!! Cons: non responsive staff in person and online, sometimes no staff at all. No view, stuffy room with low natural light. No coffee maker, microwave or fridge, no ice, no gym, no pool, no parking (didn't need any of these so glad to avoid those costs) Luggage storage is a self serve room with a code, I would have preferred individual lockers. You need your cellphone to get in the building which can be an issue if you run out of battery or don't have Internet service. Beds and pillows were a little to mushy for my taste, sheets a bit papery.

I only got to be there for about 6 hours. I had the reservations through up to day. I had to leave because of an family emergency. I couldnt get a refund for even a day. Terribly dispointed. The pricing was great but if I see one of your hotels available,I will not be staying there. I also will never suggest it as a place to stay if I am asked. Also you didnt even have anyone there at the front desk. The kitchenette was a disapointment. Not even a snack or soda machine. Assuming there is no breakfast because it is not staffed.
