An older home modernized just enough to retain its character and be very comfortable at the same time. Set on a large lot with a private parking area and wonderful outdoor landscaping and spaces. Comfortable bed and very well equipped but not cluttered kitchen. Host meets you at property to make sure you are properly oriented, which is a nice touch. This is a "do again" VRBO for me.
An older home modernized just enough to retain its character and be very comfortable at the same time. Set on a large lot with a private parking area and wonderful outdoor landscaping and spaces. Comfortable bed and very well equipped but not cluttered kitchen. Host meets you at property to make sure you are properly oriented, which is a nice touch. This is a "do again" VRBO for me.

Lovingly maintained Adobe cottage with a well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms. The garden is also very pleasant to sit out in. Convenient neighborhood with an excellent organic Co-op nearby. Easy access to all local and regional sights.

This is not your average VRBO. It is immaculate, stylish, spacious and comfortable! The property is large with a fantastic courtyard. There are security gates and it feels like a very private, secluded space. The decor is definitely New Mexico! Michael, the host, was helpful but not intrusive. We loved this stop! Not one complaint. Thank you for sharing!

Fabulous 2 BR house with sleep sofa. Beautiful garden and great nieghborhod. Host was great at commiunication and maiking sure we were all settled in.

We loved the outside patio area so much, the detailed landscape was so beautiful. The house was close to town but had a private feel to it. The bed was a little firmer than we like but it was still comfortable. We didn’t really cook, but it looked well equipped if people wanted to. We spent most of our time outside.

Michael is the perfect host. Responsive, informative, enjoyable. What an awesome place Casa La Huerta is !. The weather was super windy and colder than we had hoped, so we didn't get to sit outside as much as we had hoped, but it just made us appreciate it even more when we got perfect weather the day before we had to leave. Inside, everything was perfect, very clean, great towels and sheets, even provided plush blankets, and everything you could wish for in the kitchen. We will be back as often as we can to see the awesome landscaping in the Spring and early summer. The photos are great, but they don't even come close to showing how delightful everything is at The Orchard House. (yes, they have an Orchard that was in full bloom).

This property is simply perfect for a weeklong visit while attending a very demanding workshop. The interior is attractively and comfortably furnished. It’s a joy to take our breakfast outside on the patio . Lovely garden!

The title should speak volumes....this property and casa exceeded all expectations! From the moment you drive in to the little orchard (la huerta) and enter the gate into the yard, you have stepped into a perfect, quiet oasis that feels so far away from the hustle and bustle of ABQ!! The grounds are very well maintained and absolutely beautiful and serene!!! As soon as you walk into the casa you instantly feel at home and comfortable. It was IMMACULATE!!! So tastefully, yet simply, decorated with New Mexico sprinkled through and through! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner every night! Michael is a wonderful host/manager....kind, thoughtful, generous with his time, and "just right down the way" if need be. This is absolutely one of the best properties, out of dozens, that we have every stayed at and we can not wait until we return again next year! We are so appreciative that this wonderful little piece of NM is shared with the rest of us!!!

My husband and I traveled to see family in the Albuquerque area. We found Casa La Huerta through vrbo and immediately knew it was the place we wanted to stay. It's a gem of a property; i.e., clean, great location, quiet with such nice landscaping. The patio is our favorite part. We read, played games and ate together there often. I'm sure we'll ask to stay at Casa La Huerta on our next trip to Albuquerque. I'd be remiss if I neglected to say that Michael Aragon is an excellent manager of this property. He was available and able to answer all our questions. Thanks so much, Michael.

Casa La Huerta is in a great location, and was a comfortable home base for our 11-day stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the gas fireplace especially appreciated as it was not warm weather. We'd love to relax outdoors in the garden and patio in warmer months!

This historic adobe home was so comfortable, close to Old Town and great restaurants. Biked a trail nearby with access not far from the house.The host was helpful on arrival showing us the home and providing information on the activities we were interested in.The outdoor patio was nice to come back to at the end of our days exploring. Definitely a great place to stay!

Casa la Huerta was light and airy, spacious, and homey, with charming New Mexican accents throughout. It had a well-appointed kitchen, and there was plenty of hot water for baths and showers. The bedrooms were roomy and the mattresses comfortable - a must or both of us. Clearly, great care has been taken to ensure that guests have everything they need. Perhaps most importantly, we were impressed (and relieved) by how peaceful and quiet the house and neighborhood were. Our host, Michael, greeted us upon arrival, walked us through, and shared the wonderful history of the property. The outdoor spaces were lovely, even in late February - it's easy to imagine how beautiful it will be when everything is in bloom. Overall, our experience at Casa la Huerta was delightful, and whenever we're back in town we won't hesitate to make it our home again. Thank you, Michael!

Our stay at Casa La Huerta - The Orchard House was absolutely delightful! This historic adobe home exceeded our expectations in every way, making it the perfect spot for our family of four to unwind and explore the beauty of New Mexico. The house itself is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with all the modern conveniences you could ask for. From a well-stocked kitchen with all the necessary utensils to a reliable washer and dryer and fast internet, everything was available to make our stay comfortable. The historic charm of the adobe walls blended seamlessly with the cozy interiors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of the property is the small orchard surrounding the home, bearing a variety of fruits like peach, apricot, and others local to New Mexico. Walking through the orchard each morning was a serene experience, and it added a unique charm to our stay. Michael, the owner, truly made this trip special. He personally greeted us upon arrival, gave us a thorough tour of the property, and shared invaluable local knowledge. His insights helped us discover hidden gems in the area and added a personal touch to our vacation. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. This historic adobe home exceeded our expectations in every way, making it the perfect spot for our family of four to unwind and explore the beauty of New Mexico. The house itself is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with all the modern conveniences you could ask for. From a well-stocked kitchen with all the necessary utensils to a reliable washer and dryer and fast internet, everything was available to make our stay comfortable. The historic charm of the adobe walls blended seamlessly with the cozy interiors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of the property is the small orchard surrounding the home, bearing a variety of fruits like peach, apricot, and others local to New Mexico. Walking through the orchard each morning was a serene experience, and it added a unique charm to our stay. Michael, the owner, truly made this trip special. He personally greeted us upon arrival, gave us a thorough tour of the property, and shared invaluable local knowledge. His insights helped us discover hidden gems in the area and added a personal touch to our vacation. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. We loved the outside patio area so much, the detailed landscape was so beautiful. The house was close to town but had a private feel to it. The bed was a little firmer than we like but it was still comfortable. We didn’t really cook, but it looked well equipped if people wanted to. We spent most of our time outside.

We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint historic house. Super cute outdoor area - wished we had longer to stay. Michael was a fantastic host - made sure we had everything we needed at check in and responsive when a question popped up. Highly recommend!

This is not your average VRBO. It is immaculate, stylish, spacious and comfortable! The property is large with a fantastic courtyard. There are security gates and it feels like a very private, secluded space. The decor is definitely New Mexico! Michael, the host, was helpful but not intrusive. We loved this stop! Not one complaint. Thank you for sharing!

The property was just perfect for our visit with my daughter’s family. Very cute, cozy and well maintained. Perfect size for the 2 of us. In a nice, quiet neighborhood. The owner was very helpful when our flights were delayed, and me us at the property to get us started. We will stay there again.

Michael is the perfect host. Responsive, informative, enjoyable. What an awesome place Casa La Huerta is !. The weather was super windy and colder than we had hoped, so we didn't get to sit outside as much as we had hoped, but it just made us appreciate it even more when we got perfect weather the day before we had to leave. Inside, everything was perfect, very clean, great towels and sheets, even provided plush blankets, and everything you could wish for in the kitchen. We will be back as often as we can to see the awesome landscaping in the Spring and early summer. The photos are great, but they don't even come close to showing how delightful everything is at The Orchard House. (yes, they have an Orchard that was in full bloom).

This property had everything you could ask for! Charming home, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor seating areas, and a guidebook of recommendations for the area. Michael is a fantastic host, he met us at the property to give us a tour and make sure we didn't have any questions about even the small things like how the remotes worked. 5 stars in terms of scheduling, communication, knowledge of the area and kindness. I would definitely recommend driving/renting a car as the location is a bit off the beaten path. We used Uber and most attractions were about 15 min drive or less.

Casa La Huerta is a lovely house. The patio is amazing and I can’t wait to go back when it’s a little bit warmer. The location is great, close to downtown, old town, and other great spots.

This historic adobe home was so comfortable, close to Old Town and great restaurants. Biked a trail nearby with access not far from the house.The host was helpful on arrival showing us the home and providing information on the activities we were interested in.The outdoor patio was nice to come back to at the end of our days exploring. Definitely a great place to stay!

My husband, 6 yo daughter and I enjoyed our stay during a long weekend in Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta. The house had everything we needed and more, very clean and in a nice quite neighborhood. We loved being 20-30 minutes away from the fiesta and 15 minutes from downtown/the zoo/breweries/the petroglyph national park. I even got to watch a few hot air balloons from the back porch while enjoying my coffee on the last day. We would stay again if we come back!

My husband and I absolutely loved this property!!! I loved sitting out back in the morning, drinking my coffee, and reading on my kindle. It was so relaxing and quiet. It was perfect for the two of us. The house is in a great location.

Don't hesitate booking this North Valley property! Walking distance to the Flying Star and El Patio's great margaritas and food! Old town just a short distace down the road. We had fun just sitting out back watching the butterflies and hummingbirds. Hope to back soon.

Overall the property is the best we have ever stayed in. The comforts are many to remark on like the beds, and older but absolutely high quality and appropriate furniture. The fully equipped and well-appointed kitchen has a dishwasher which surprised me as the house itself dates back a ways. The warmed tile underfoot in the bathroom was a delightful surprise, and something we would like in our own home. Other small touches, like slippers and robes were very nice. A really good grill on the patio , which we put to good use, made our stay very ,very fun and nice. And the neighborhood was so quiet the whole 6 days we were there, it was very relaxing. We had the opportunity to pick apricots for our breakfast in the orchard, and there are many beautiful fruit trees full of promising tasty apples, pears and other fruit coming on. Then there are the grounds, and the surrounding gardens, with a wall fence, which gave us the ultimate privacy and calm. All in all the house is beautifully and tastefully decorated in the old New Mexico style and colors , We can't wait to go back.
