The 2-bedroom & 2 full bathroom apartment with the common living area was lovely. Clean, spacious and charming. Mafalda greeted us warmly and gave us lots of information. We didn’t realize when we booked that the climb to the 2nd floor would be steep on curving staircases. While we had only carry on luggage and backpacks, it was daunting for us 70 year olds (no elevator). But the staff carried our bags up and down. Whew! Parking was not included and the street in fr

Great modern apartment in a medieval building with lots of character. The hostess was lovely, helpful and stayed late for our arrival. She was so happy to talk about her city and its history and give suggestions and directions. Good location in an easy to walk city. We loved the place and wished we had stayed longer. Clean, good bed, nice bath and kitchen. Property also has a couple of delightful outside common areas with tables and chairs. Note for those who travel heavy: no elevator.

Beautifully converted historical property right in the centre of Evora. Room 0.3 has a lovely vaulted ceiling on the ground floor and is towards the back of the property. There is just one smaller room 0.4 past you. Large apart-hotel style accommodation with the living/dining/kitchenette area and the separate bedroom facing the swimming pool area and the windowless shower room off both of these rooms. Shower cubicle is huge! Friendly reception.
Beautifully converted historical property right in the centre of Evora. Room 0.3 has a lovely vaulted ceiling on the ground floor and is towards the back of the property. There is just one smaller room 0.4 past you. Large apart-hotel style accommodation with the living/dining/kitchenette area and the separate bedroom facing the swimming pool area and the windowless shower room off both of these rooms. Shower cubicle is huge! Friendly reception.

The apartment is in a very well located part of town - and also very clean, safe and in a neighborhood that helped us get a real feel for the city. The staff was absolutely amazing! Our rental car died n the side of a road outside of town and they did all they could to help us. The furniture and decorations were high quality - and the kitchen was perfect with all we needed to cook with. We loved that the building was part-centuries old and part very contemporary with arches and steps up to a little garden and swimming pool. Beautiful and large bathroom . High quality linens - bed and bath.

Such a charming medieval building/hotel that has been updated to meet all the comfort needs without taking away the unique style. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and so nice to enjoy after a morning of exploring. (Sign up for a time slot to enjoy it privately). Location of hotel is perfectly situated for walking around the gorgeous quaint town of Evora. We hope to return one day.

Newly renovated property, extremely comfortable bed, interesting architecture, front desk staff - Johnny - extremely helpful and personable. Small pool on property, feels like a private estate, in the heart of the old city. Pool not heated.

Absolutely wonderful property steeped in history. It is clean, centrally located, and a wonderful little pool to cool off. Although you do need to book a time slot but wasn't a problem. Also if you are in two bedroom apartment be ready to climb lots of stairs, however the view made up for it. We loved our time their.

Check in was easy, sat with Jone (sorry for spelling, pronounced Johnny) who was super friendly. He helped us with our luggage (lots/heavy). This hotel is not just “in” the old town, you are a part of it! Only item to note is that there is no parking at the hotel, we had to pull up and unload and then go park (we found pay parking 1 minute walk away, if we hadn’t found any, apparently the parking is just outside the walls, a few minutes walk). If you plan for it, no problem. We had a one bedroom apartment…very historic while still providing the modern amenities we needed. Sitting in the sunshine in the courtyard enjoying the welcome drink was a highlight. Location is perfect…literally 5 minute walk, to say, the Roman ruins.

The hotel is beautiful. We stayed for 1 night and had a wonderful time until the morning. We were woken early by someone knocking on the door. Then we discovered that the toilet was not working. We were told to use a toilet in the common area for the rest of our stay. We missed out on the relaxing morning we were hoping for because we had to deal with these issues. The staff were apologetic but offered no compensation for this considerable inconvenience. We were charged full price for an incomplete service. It was a disappointing end to a special night booked to celebrate my partner's birthday.

Nice room, but heating in main living area did not work since the remote control for heat pump was missing batteries, and there was no way for us to reach switch... Excellent location for sightseeing & eating, etc.

The location was ideal. The room was spacious and well equipped, minus towels the first night. The front desk staff more than made up for it the next day with fresh towels delivered and a lot of assistance with arranging tours.

It is a real castle. The room is well decorated and very modern. Large walled around ceilings unusual but nice. The only thing is that it is on a very first floor and we can’t open the windows because people pass by.

Super nice. Great location and large comfortable bed. We had a huge room with a small kitchen. Johnny was super helpful at reception. Room was dark and quiet at night.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay so unique...I enjoyed our experience. We stayed in room 2.4....2 beds downstairs and a large bed upstairs...complimentary coffee and water!

We loved staying at Casa Morgado Esporão. We arrived during a power outage that impacted the entire country and Johnny and staff were amazing, empathetic, and kind. We loved our room and were provided with candles and all the amenities to make us comfortable. Thank you for a great visit to Évora!

The apartment is in a very well located part of town - and also very clean, safe and in a neighborhood that helped us get a real feel for the city. The staff was absolutely amazing! Our rental car died n the side of a road outside of town and they did all they could to help us. The furniture and decorations were high quality - and the kitchen was perfect with all we needed to cook with. We loved that the building was part-centuries old and part very contemporary with arches and steps up to a little garden and swimming pool. Beautiful and large bathroom . High quality linens - bed and bath.

The hotel is beautiful. We stayed for 1 night and had a wonderful time until the morning. We were woken early by someone knocking on the door. Then we discovered that the toilet was not working. We were told to use a toilet in the common area for the rest of our stay. We missed out on the relaxing morning we were hoping for because we had to deal with these issues. The staff were apologetic but offered no compensation for this considerable inconvenience. We were charged full price for an incomplete service. It was a disappointing end to a special night booked to celebrate my partner's birthday.

The location was ideal. The room was spacious and well equipped, minus towels the first night. The front desk staff more than made up for it the next day with fresh towels delivered and a lot of assistance with arranging tours.

Johnny was the most gracious host and so helpful and inviting! We loved the property, it had an old-world magic that felt so special while still having modern, chic amenities. No notes, it was perfect.

Check in was easy, sat with Jone (sorry for spelling, pronounced Johnny) who was super friendly. He helped us with our luggage (lots/heavy). This hotel is not just “in” the old town, you are a part of it! Only item to note is that there is no parking at the hotel, we had to pull up and unload and then go park (we found pay parking 1 minute walk away, if we hadn’t found any, apparently the parking is just outside the walls, a few minutes walk). If you plan for it, no problem. We had a one bedroom apartment…very historic while still providing the modern amenities we needed. Sitting in the sunshine in the courtyard enjoying the welcome drink was a highlight. Location is perfect…literally 5 minute walk, to say, the Roman ruins.

We had a lovely two night stay here. The welcome was warm and helpful, the location excellent for seeing Evora, and our room was beautiful. Will definitely stay here on our next trip.

This property is a gem in Évora. Rooms are surrounding or around courtyard. Have modern amenities. Walking distance to center of town and most dining and shopping options. Was safe to travel to and from property even in night. We loved our stay here.

This was a lovely place. The architecture was beautiful, the location within the city walls of Evora amazing, and Joni, the manager, was so kind, helpful, and genuine. Fabulous!

We were only here for one night, but loved our short stay. We were located in one of the rooms located on the top floor. The hotel is absolutely charming and I loved the history of the house and how modern the rooms were. We had so much space in our family suite. The room was quiet in the evening and a good temperature. My daughter used the pool and it was perfect for her. The check in process was super easy and the woman at the front desk was just the sweetest. She helped us to the room, blocked a parking spot for us and took my daughter to see the pool. I'm sad we only stayed for one day, but I would come back. It was incredibly convenient to walk to everything we wanted to see and even though the roads look a little scary on Google maps, you can get your car through without an issue. Highly recommend this property. It was great for our family. Just know that you will have to climb stairs and there is no elevator, which was fine for us.

This property is an historic mansion converted to "apartments". We did not realize we'd have a kitchen which was a nice plus. The location is perfect for wandering around Evora - just down the hill from the Roman temple and s short walk to the central plaza. There is parking avilalable but it's a 15 minute walk from the parking area to the hotel. We had a one-bedroom suite which was quite comfortable.
