double room Budget

La pulizia della camera non è stata effettuata in maniera ottimale, infatti abbiamo trovato metà torta lasciata in frigo. La ventola del bagno era estremamente rumorosa e rimanendo accessa per diverso tempo una volta usciti dal bagno, rende impraticabile utilizzare il bagno di notte, salvo svegliare il secondo ospite. La camera era molto calda e, in assenza di condizionatore, aprendo le finestre entravano gli odori di kebab delle vicine cucine. La camera che ci è stata assegnata non era raggiungibile in ascensore ed è stato necessario percorrere una lunga e ripida scalinata, che non è adatta a persone anziane.

The bed was clean as was the bathroom and the room was large. However the pictures show a fully equipped kitchenette and it's described as such. But you actually have to ask for pots and pans. The lady at reception seemed surprised we wanted these. We were given a frying pan and a saucepan, with a large plastic spoon. We asked for plates but she said she couldn't give us any. So we had to eat off saucers. Not quite the fully equipped kitchenette we were expecting. No dishcloths either, no spoons, no sharp knives, no cooking utensils. The carpets throughout were filthy. I didn't want to take my shoes off. It's important to note that there is a drug rehab centre opposite which means a lot of addicts hanging around, however they all left once the centre shut and didn't cause us any issues. What was an issue was the checkout. They say you can check out up to 11am. I did the online checkout and confirmed this time, but the cleaner knocked at 9am whilst we were both getting showered and dressed, and they actually opened the door to our room at 10am. This felt really intrusive. All in all, it's ok to sleep in but there's huge room for improvement.

Vi slet litt med å komme oss inn og finne ut av alt selv med koder og alt. Det var ingen i resepsjonen, ingen på mail eller på telefon. Stedet var fint bortsett fra skitne, udelikate syntetiske gulvtepper. Hotellet hadde tjent mye på å fjerne dem. Frokosten var bra. Kort vei å gå til sentrum. Slitent strøk.

De ligging in een straat vol met verslaafden geeft geen prettig gevoel bij aankomst en verblijf. Het hotel zelf is prima waar voor zijn geld, al was het bed van onze tweede kamer wel heel erg smal, smaller dan de kamer ernaast.

The Hotel itself was basic but suitable for our two night stay. Excellent shower. The staff were friendly and helpful but the breakfast very basic. The real "downer" was the location, or rather, the inhabitants of the location. There was quite a large collection of drug users and alcoholics (from observation) constantly gathered near the door to the Hotel and spread right across the road for most of each day ! Quite intimidating really.
