Super sharp hotel, with a modern look, a nice, clean, well equipped gym, and a terrific restaurant on the main floor. Shout out to the entire staff of the hotel, especially Jessica! We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Salem.

The hotel and room were nice, clean and modern looking. When we arrived, their parking garage was full. The front desk person told me that’s a common occurrence, so something to be aware of.

Loved it! Great bar, friendly staff, very clean. Only complaint is the tvs are all WiFi based and the internet is good enough to support them, they froze constantly.

The hotel and room were nice, very modern. The beds and pillows were very comfy! The toilet paper was of the quality of a rest stop, however. The parking garage is valet only, which you have to pay extra for. Or hope you can find parking in a free garage a block away, or find street parking which has limits during the day.

I stayed at another Hilton in downtown Portland the nights leading up to my stay at Tapestry. Hands down, a much nicer facility. (Most likely because it is newer and being properly staffed.) The staff was extremely friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast options were great, and the service was prompt. There are plenty of places to walk to, and if you are used to bigger cities, you will not feel unsafe walking alone in the evening. My room was close to the main road that takes you to the highway. Heard very little noise from traffic. There were minimal cons about the Tapestry. Parking was a little tricky. When checking in, all spots out front were filled, so I had to circle the block a few times until a spot opened up close enough to haul my bags in, about a block away. There is 24/7 valet, but all of the valet spots were filled. I ended up opting for the valet for the remainder of the stay. (It's an additional fee...no worries there.) The "bottled" wine at the restaurant in the hotel came in crafts, out of a tap, I believe. Not a huge issue - I just prefer to be able to purchase an unopened bottle if desired. The bathroom had great lighting, water temp, and was very clean. The shower did not have a shelf for toiletries. Again, not a huge issue - just a small detail that is nice to have. In the end, I would definitely stay here again if I am in Salem and would recommend it to others!

Love this hotel. Chrissy at Reception was phenomenal. Room was perfect. Beds were comfortable. On site restaurant, Gamberettia, has great fresh pasta and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. A block from the river front park. Lots of great little restaurants in the area. This hotel even had a loaner wheelchair!!

The place was really nice, beds were comfortable. The shelves in the bathroom were REALLY dusty though, so that threw me off a bit.

Super cute and modern place that was much needed in Salem. Staff were nice and accommodating. As other reviewers have noted, it is VERY loud. I didn’t mind, because I sleep with a white noise machine, but you can absolutely hear every car and train that goes by. Although the building is new, it does seem to be fairly cheaply made and already seems to be a little worn down. The biggest reason that I am giving 3 stars though is for house keeping. I’m sure it is because housekeeping is severely understaffed, but my room was a little dirty when I arrived. For one, the previous people’s trash was still in my room. There was also a phone charger that was probably left by the previous person, and there was food droppings by the couch.

For this being a new hotel it was pretty sad. Pros..loved the valet parking....bed was comfy....front desk and valets were all friendly and quick. Cons....rooms were dusty, floors dirty, air conditioner wouldn't go below 68, rooms were noisy from street traffic. Only tried it because The Grand was booked. Won't be going back to this one.

The hotel is very clean. And new. Staff is ver accommodating. The room I was originally given was very noisy and the ac had a problem. Told front desk they immediately arranged another room. Exactly what you expect from Hilton. Restaurant associated with hotel is very nice. Food was exceptional and wait staff was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Super noisy. Lots of banging above us all night long, especially between 4-7am. Doors closing loudly. People parting until 1-2am. Front desk staff unwilling to help with noise issues. Found ants in our bathroom, the shampoo and conditioner bottles had gross cracked on soap scum. Overall very disappointing, especially given the $200/night price tag.

We had two rooms and both were comfortable, quiet and immaculately clean. One of the rooms overlooked a rooftop green area, which was a lovely view. I was impressed with how quickly the housekeeping staff got to our rooms; every day when we got back from breakfast (This location is excellent for walking to some really good local restaurants!) our rooms had been reset to perfection. The beds were really comfortable; we will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a fantastic location for walking around Salem. Our room was in an interior location with a view of a wall, so not thrilled about that. The bed is comfy but sits on a wooden base that has square edges and sticks out further than the mattress, so I have a really pretty bruise on each leg to show for our stay. Otherwise, the amenities are nice and our room was quiet.

The hotel itself and room were very nice & lovely. The bed & pillows/linens/comforter were very comfy. I do want to share that it was a bit loud, and not outside/traffic, but inside, with maybe the heating system in the hotel as a whole? Lots of continuous rumbling turning on & off. And my thermostat only went between 68 and 70, so I couldn't turn down the heat like I like to at night. I requested a fan from the front desk for some white noise (generally rooms have them in a closet, but not here), and they offered that they have them for sale at the front desk which is LAME. I don't usually complain or leave bad notes on reviews, but it really irritated me about the fan, about the thermostat, and then about the incessant rumbling noise. (I was on the 7th/highest floor, so maybe that's where the hotel's HVAC system is, directly above my room?) Nice place otherwise, but I likely won't be staying here again if I ever find myself in Salem.

. Parking in the front is a bit awkward. There are only 5 places to pull in and valet was inside the hotel. I needed to pull my luggage from my car and take it in. You pull directly in front of a restaurant with a few tables outside. Not very appealing to the diners. Check in was easy. Bryce was very nice. I asked for a quiet room. What do I get? A room facing a very busy street! Clean room, decorated nicely.

When I pulled up to there loading & unloading area I hadn't stepped out of my vehicle before some guy who I assumed worked for the hotel as he wasn't wearing anything to identify himself asked me asked me "what was I doing" umm checking in & he proceeds to tell me I am going to have drive around until I can find an open spot & if I wanted to pay $32 for valet I could do that. I would have thought that as much as I paid there would have been complimentary valet parking, after I circled around a few blocks I was able to find a spot down the block & around the corner nothing like adding more worry to me. I was not greeted by a friendly person behind what looked like a counter top who instead of your normal hello welcome to I was greeted by a no eye contact woman who told me they were doing a shift change & bthen just continued to talk to the other employee of the hotel who also didn't acknowledge me got to the room it wasn't the room I had picked out online, the room was small, and no bathtub the one thing I was looking forward to
When I pulled up to there loading & unloading area I hadn't stepped out of my vehicle before some guy who I assumed worked for the hotel as he wasn't wearing anything to identify himself asked me asked me "what was I doing" umm checking in & he proceeds to tell me I am going to have drive around until I can find an open spot & if I wanted to pay $32 for valet I could do that. I would have thought that as much as I paid there would have been complimentary valet parking, after I circled around a few blocks I was able to find a spot down the block & around the corner nothing like adding more worry to me. I was not greeted by a friendly person behind what looked like a counter top who instead of your normal hello welcome to I was greeted by a no eye contact woman who told me they were doing a shift change & bthen just continued to talk to the other employee of the hotel who also didn't acknowledge me got to the room it wasn't the room I had picked out online, the room was small, and no bathtub the one thing I was looking forward to

The restaurant and front desk staff were very professional and friendly. When we arrived and had lunch at the restaurant, the food was excellent but the flies were terrible. We have never experienced that amount of flies anywhere in our world travels. The staff actually acknowledged the problem and apologized. As for our room, on arrival we were told we had been switched out of the room we reserved because they had oversold that room option. The room we were in was very noisy and the bed was very uncomfortable which made for a horrible nights sleep. It’s worth mentioning that the room was very clean. Upon checkout, it took us 50 mins to get our car from valet. The staff was very kind and apologetic. Over all, it was the staff that were the saving grace and brightest part of our stay. They were all so helpful and kind even as we noticed that they were all there working long shifts because they were very short staffed.

Super sharp hotel, with a modern look, a nice, clean, well equipped gym, and a terrific restaurant on the main floor. Shout out to the entire staff of the hotel, especially Jessica! We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Salem.

I was extremely disappointed with the level of service I received during my second stay at this hotel, specifically with regards to the front desk representative. I was incorrectly charged for an unwarranted upgrade, and despite the representative acknowledging the error, she refused to rectify the situation. I was billed for an additional $111 for the upgrade, which I had not requested nor was I informed about during the booking process. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk representative, they became defensive and dismissive, claiming that it was a mistake in their system. Despite my repeated requests for a corrected bill, the representative refused to assist me, stating that the manager would reach out to me. However, I never received a call or message from the manager, leaving me feeling frustrated and disvalued as a customer.

Absolutely great service by every single person I interacted with. all were more than appreciative to all customers. Breath of fresh air compared to normal dad to day “lack” of customer service.

Love this hotel. Chrissy at Reception was phenomenal. Room was perfect. Beds were comfortable. On site restaurant, Gamberettia, has great fresh pasta and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. A block from the river front park. Lots of great little restaurants in the area. This hotel even had a loaner wheelchair!!

The hotel called themselves riverfront, but there is no river view, nor in a resort area. It's located directly at the main street, and there's no free parking. Food is nice in the hotel restaurant, nice experience for both breakfast and lunch. Staff is friendly as well. Some of the hotel staff at the reception is cold. The bed sheet looks like used... Shower is not really comfortable. It's a disappointment.

The hotel itself is very nice…new and modern. The location is downtown but the side our 5th floor room was on was above a very busy street…at all hours! We asked for a change of room after the first night but we were told it would be an additional 60$/night for a queen room vs the king we had reserved. That’s terrible customer service. There were ear plugs on the night table so the hotels knows it’s noisy. Bad experience! The hotel parking is limited and the area the hotel is in has a lot of homeless wandering past the off-site and street parking you have to use if the valet parking is full. Staff was not accommodating or helpful.

The location is excellent, in downtown and walkable to everywhere, especially the river park. The room we had was excellent, very modern, floor to ceiling windows, kitchen, separate for TV viewing, dining table for working on a PC(if needed). Valet parking is pricey, but free and cheap parking is available within a couple blocks. Staff was excellent and would bend over backwards to accommodate.

I stayed at another Hilton in downtown Portland the nights leading up to my stay at Tapestry. Hands down, a much nicer facility. (Most likely because it is newer and being properly staffed.) The staff was extremely friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast options were great, and the service was prompt. There are plenty of places to walk to, and if you are used to bigger cities, you will not feel unsafe walking alone in the evening. My room was close to the main road that takes you to the highway. Heard very little noise from traffic. There were minimal cons about the Tapestry. Parking was a little tricky. When checking in, all spots out front were filled, so I had to circle the block a few times until a spot opened up close enough to haul my bags in, about a block away. There is 24/7 valet, but all of the valet spots were filled. I ended up opting for the valet for the remainder of the stay. (It's an additional fee...no worries there.) The "bottled" wine at the restaurant in the hotel came in crafts, out of a tap, I believe. Not a huge issue - I just prefer to be able to purchase an unopened bottle if desired. The bathroom had great lighting, water temp, and was very clean. The shower did not have a shelf for toiletries. Again, not a huge issue - just a small detail that is nice to have. In the end, I would definitely stay here again if I am in Salem and would recommend it to others!

The location is perfect to downtown. The staff was very helpful. The entire location was spotless. The road noise in the room was horrific it was worse than staying at a airport hotel definety bring earplugs if you are staying in an outside room.

This hotel is very nice - upscale. Free parking was a bonus. Beautiful lobby and the restaurant/bar is open late. The breakfast food we ate was delicious, and not overpriced. Room was clean and bed very comfortable! There were just a few minor things missing - nowhere to hang towels by bathroom sink, and the mirror above sink is only mirror in the room. Full-length mirror would be nice to have. Great shops and restaurants in walking distance, would stay here again!

Our recent stay at The Holman in Salem showcased the hotel's exceptional construction quality and outstanding interior design. The attention to detail in both decor and comfort is truly remarkable. However, we encountered some confusion regarding the breakfast service. Despite selecting the breakfast package for our family, there seemed to be a communication gap with the cafe staff about what was included in our accommodation. The ordering process was challenging due to staff uncertainty about the breakfast allowance terms. The situation was ultimately resolved at checkout, where the front desk staff professionally handled the matter by adjusting our bill to compensate for the shared breakfast, charging only the gratuity. While the food service team was friendly, the dining experience was somewhat impacted by distracting behavior from one staff member, which made the already complicated breakfast ordering process more difficult to navigate. The hotel's physical amenities are outstanding, though some improvement in breakfast service coordination would enhance the overall guest experience.

Everything from checkin to check out, friendly, lots going on with Christmas stuff going on in lobby, just a great “Hotel” experience!! As for the restaurant/bar, disappointing. Service okay at best. Slow, not friendly at all. Sat directly at bar with my wife and had to ask for menus and to get a drink after quite a while. Not to mention there were only 8 others even seated in restaurant/bar. Ordered some roosters that were very, very fishy tasting. I eat oysters on the half show very often and these were very very fishy. Then, when we returned after our show at the Elsinore Theatre, we were two of about 20 people in the restaurant bar area with two male bartenders, who were completely rude, not friendly, and it seem like they were just not wanting to be there. Definitely not happy with service or bartending later in the evening and my tip showed it. Such a beautiful place. It’s a shame. It Hass to be brought down by bad staff.

Clean, modern, newly refurbished hotel. Spacious, comfortable room. Helpful staff. Great downtown location. The only things we didn’t like were the inability to get our room cooler than 68 (a little warm for sleeping for us) and the $32 valet parking fee. Otherwise we had a nice stay.

Wonderfully located . So close to the park for amphitheater and all the downtown eateries. Beautiful spacious rooms and nice and clean. Staff was smiling and looked happy to be there. That makes a difference and I appreciate it.

Parking is kind of a pain, or an added expense using the valet. You either have to pay for street parking each day, or pay a nominal fee for parking permits for the garage across and down the street. The restaurant was great, but when we come it is always busy. They do not take reservations for small parties and they did not answer the phone one night when I tried to call. But the food is amazing.
