Nice and quiet, near downtown. Older motel, doesn’t offer all the amenities you’d get at your higher priced hotels, but was very comfortable. We liked it so much we booked another night. Would definitely stay again.

It was cute but old/vintage that was fine in a small vintage town and you want to support local.he bed was comfortable, AC air worked and was nice & cold, fridge was cold and the arking was right in front that was nice. The housekeeping needs to be better. We love to support locals but sometimes the locals need to be better at their items also.

We stayed on Thanksgiving. Angie went far and beyond taking time away from her family to make sure my husband could watch the Cowboys outside in the pavilion and even prepped up a fire :)

Our room, #35, was decent; the bed was very nice! The sink drain was very slow and there are two light switches, one on either side of the bed — obviously once for outlets for bedside table lamps — that are now "switches to nothing." Also it would've been nice to have had two bedside lamps. The pavilion looks nice online, but not so inviting in person. The cool, retro metal patio chairs are badass! But needed to be wiped off and arranged as if someone would think, "Hey man, let's go chill out there! And look! There are games on the big-screen TV's too!" The property is in a great location and they are working on it AND making good progress. We'll be back.

We've stayed at this motel several times before, but honestly, it has really gone downhill. The room was so dirty that I had to go to the dollar store to buy cleaning supplies, towels, and washcloths. When we arrived, it was late, and there were no other hotels available nearby because they were all booked for the Round Top festival.

Upon arrival, the property/parking lot needed some “tidying up” but the room appeared fine. Unfortunately a good cleaning would have done wonders for the bathroom. Also, the cold water at the bathroom sink didn’t work so brushing teeth and washing your face was done with scalding water. The front desk/ manager was polite and friendly.

While the location, price and service were great, the cleanliness of the property overroad all those factors. The minor things were that the room was dusty and the microwave was not as clean as I would expect. The major thing was the bath tub *yuck*. The tub looked like the hair from the drain had not been cleaned in months! The bathroom sink was also dirty. Luckily I read reviews ahead of time and packed my own clorox wipes. We really weren't at the hotel for long as we were shopping at Round Top, but we enjoyed the room, nice size, very clean. It was a very quiet hotel and located near restaurants, so made it easy to come and go. If you are easy going, want a great room for a bargain price, stay here. We do plan to stay again on our return to antique week, because for the price and the fact there we are only in the room long enough to shower and sleep, it's a perfect place to stay. The best part : The Oaks doesn't inflate its prices during Antique Week, they have an affordable hotel with an affordable price. Our stay for the two days came to 1/4 the price we normally have to pay in the Round Top/ Warrenton area. Drive to La Grange, unwind and have a great sleep. Now outside was not so clean, we had to move a baby walker before we could ever park, our walk away was strewn with empty beer cans.(hopefully they had fallen out of a recycling sack) The maid's storage closet was open and things scattered everywhere.

This property is lovely. It’s updated and being worked on to update all the rooms. It’s a beautiful vibe, easy to find and get in and out. Close to downtown. The staff is incredible and very welcoming and helpful. We will absolutely stay again!

This hotel is dirty and very very unsafe with the type of people hanging in and around the hotel. Management would not refund the rest of the booked stay when we refused to stay after the first night.

You cannot judge a book by it's cover. This old hotel has been renovated and the rooms are new and clean. The exterior looks bad, but the area is safe and walking distance to the square and restaurants.

The best part : The Oaks doesn't inflate its prices during Antique Week, they have an affordable hotel with an affordable price. Our stay for the two days came to 1/4 the price we normally have to pay in the Round Top/ Warrenton area. Drive to La Grange, unwind and have a great sleep. Now outside was not so clean, we had to move a baby walker before we could ever park, our walk away was strewn with empty beer cans.(hopefully they had fallen out of a recycling sack) The maid's storage closet was open and things scattered everywhere.

We really weren't at the hotel for long as we were shopping at Round Top, but we enjoyed the room, nice size, very clean. It was a very quiet hotel and located near restaurants, so made it easy to come and go. If you are easy going, want a great room for a bargain price, stay here. We do plan to stay again on our return to antique week, because for the price and the fact there we are only in the room long enough to shower and sleep, it's a perfect place to stay. This property is lovely. It’s updated and being worked on to update all the rooms. It’s a beautiful vibe, easy to find and get in and out. Close to downtown. The staff is incredible and very welcoming and helpful. We will absolutely stay again!

You cannot judge a book by it's cover. This old hotel has been renovated and the rooms are new and clean. The exterior looks bad, but the area is safe and walking distance to the square and restaurants.

Location is close to LaGrange town Square. Easy access. Inside the motel room was adequate. Room included Microwave, fridge and coffee maker with coffee available. The Outside of facility needs attention. Suggest placing Long Stay Guest with dog, Charcoal Grill, Citronella candles be placed at one end of the facility. Noticed a lot of Cigarette butts scattered thru parking lot, front office door and outside Motel rooms. Animal Droppings (Dog or Cat) left in parking lot by Room entrance. Whole parking area needs attention and improvements. Noticed toilet Plumbing needed attention, due to slow drainage. Front Office needs to be Separated from the Adjoining Resident Management Day Care Room. Need to have a partition or door to separate and block the view of Family Life.

We did an over nighter at the Oak Motel. The property is very quaint, very dated and very appealing if you like that sort of thing. The charm of an older hotel property can definitely be appreciated here, and we will definitely be back.
