Poggio dell\'Eremita was the last stop of our month in Tuscany and it was absolutely the most relaxing. Nestled amongst olive trees, the villa was super clean and so lovely. Comfortable seating, comfortable bed, beautiful decor, and multiple places outside to sit, read, and eat. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking, including bottles of wine available to purchase, and we also ate out at a great nearby restaurant Scroccazucche, recommended by our wonderful hosts Fabrizio and Nicola. We enjoyed a great tour of the gardens surrounding the house and got introduced to (rooster) Trump and his chickens, who were very quiet and polite and gave us 3 fresh eggs. We loved eating breakfast at the patio table outside the kitchen and relaxing in the afternoon on the covered back porch. The stairs to the bedroom areas are narrow and steep, but have good handrails and lighting. Upstairs there are screened windows that allow the breeze and an AC when it\'s too warm. Outside the bedroom is a rooftop deck with an amazing view across the valley and surrounding hills. Drive a little past where google directs, go around the next corner and look for the "Eremita" sign on the left where you can park your car...you won\'t regret a stay at this sweet villa! Fabrizio and Nicola are delightful hosts!

So beautiful! Fabrizio has done a beautiful job renovating this property. The finishes are perfect. The property sits around the olive trees and has many outdoor seating options to enjoy the peaceful scenery. We did 2 day trips for wine tasting and picked up a few things needed for dinners and morning coffee. Fabrizio has wine available to purchase in the event you need it- which we found very helpful after a day of travel from Rome! If we find our way back to Tuscany we will definitely stay again.

Beautiful hillside location and welcoming, friendly host. The property was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The gardens were gorgeous with always a place to relax in sun or shade. Loved the roof- top terrace with the view. Fabrizio, the host, was most helpful and has a good stock of wine and other essentials if needed. Highly recommended.

Fabrizio's place is just gorgeous. When we arrived, he gave us a detailed tour of the gardens and house, both of which are beautiful and have all conveniences. We enjoyed walking to the small and lovely town of Farnatella, and driving a few minutes to the gorgeous Lucignano. While he and his wife do live in the downstairs of the house, they have a separate entrance and were respectful of our privacy while we were there. I hope to return for a longer stay!

Wir haben die Zeit in der zauberhaften Ferienwohnung von Fabrizio sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und individuell eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr hochwertig und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Der Aussenbereich ist sehr vielseitig. Von einer schönen Dachterrasse über einen äusseren Essbereich bis zu Liegestühlen gab es alles. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist sehr gut. Wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben, war sofort Antwort bzw. Hilfe da. Ansonsten haben wir kaum gemerkt, dass noch jemand auf dem Grundstück lebt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Right from the moment we arrived, Fabrizio was the most gracious, warm and welcoming host. We were tempted to record his uniquely charming welcome! The villa is even better than the photos! Fabrizio doesn’t speak English but communicates in all languages easily with a translation app., and his son is available and very responsive if you want someone to communicate with in English. Fabrizio provided an excellent selection of local wines on site at extremely reasonable prices. Every one we tried was great. Great restaurant with the best pizza in Italy 5 min drive away. Hard to mention all of the pluses: a different terrace for every time of the day, including a jaw dropping view from the BR terrace, patio with grill & fresh herbs to pick, absolutely beautiful gardens full of olive trees, jasmine, giant rosemary bushes, artichokes, strawberry lined pathways…, soft marble floor throughout (cooling and great underfoot), comfortable bed & linens…and did we mention the view? Many distant Tuscan hill towns visible including Cortona. We were sad to leave and would love to return someday!! Grazie mil Fabrizio & familia!!

Wir haben sehr schöne Tage in dieser Ferienwohnung verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet, ein herrlicher Garten mit Möglichkeit zum grillen, viele sitzmöglichkeiten und einem tollen Balkon mit Blick in die Landschaft. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern ist herzlich. Auch im Winter kann man im Haus sehr gut Urlaub machen, das Haus ist gut heizbar.

Stayed here for five days recuperating from busy days in Rome. The garden was absolutely spectacular so quiet and quaint beautiful Italian love spending time in the comfortable chairs making home cooked dinner having wine visiting with Orchard cats as they cruise through the property. The host was unbelievably kind and generous loved the option of being able to purchase wine on the property without having to go into town. Speaking of town is about a 10 minute drive away Several cute places to eat and grocery stores. A fantastic little place in the middle of the country side centrally locatedcould not recommend this more. Cannot wait to come back again!!!

We had 2 wonderful nights in this quaint villa, Fabrizio has lovingly restored and furnished the villa. We cooked up delicious meals and lit the outdoor fire and enjoyed the views from the upstairs terrace. Also central for a day trip to Roma and Florence. We will travel from Australia again to stay in this beautiful haven. X

Dieses wunderschöne Ferienhaus in der Toscana ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von dem Eigentümer begrüßt und alle Besonderheiten des Hauses wurden erläutert und gezeigt. In der gesamten Zeit konnten wir das Haus mit seiner schönen Dachterasse nutzen .

La maison est très belle, tous les équipements et la décoration sont de haute qualité et en parfait état, choisis avec beaucoup de goût. La région (le sud de la Toscane) est superbe. L'hôte, Fabrizio est extrêmement sympathique et prévenant, répondant à toutes nos attentes et de conseils avisés.

Fabrizio was an outstanding host and the house was immaculate! Top notch and impeccably maintained property! A true Tuscan Villa! Felt like family! Amazing location and ideal location for visiting surrounding towns. Montepulciano, Siena, Cortona.. to name a few. Fabrizio was charming and was a wealth of information. Hope to stay agin in the future!

This place is beautifully maintained, quiet, peaceful yet close to many of the Tuscany hill towns. Fabrizio is charming and accomodates any of your requests. Sunrise and full moon were equally spectacular. Will definitely stay again when I return to Toscanna!!!

We received a warm welcome from the family and a thorough explanation of the facilities, the surrounding area and places of interest. Fabrizio communicated easily with us using the translation phone app. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and offers a genuine Italian experience. Simply wonderful.

Our stay at Il Poggio dell'Eremita was nothing short of magical! Its a beautifully appointed home, very clean and comfortable! The location is breathtaking, surrounded by mountains, olive groves and ancient walled cities. Our hosts were gracious and kind, available to answer questions, but also allowed privacy. Fabrizio went above and beyond to help us with a car issue, essentially making it a non-problem. Tranquil, peaceful, beautiful and convenient to many places of interest, I could not give a higher endorsement. We hope for the opportunity to return again to this amazing place!

The villa was amazing! The photos do not do it Justice. The property is beautiful, with gardens of olive trees, strawberries, tomatoes, lavender flowers etc etc.. stunning. The owner Fabrizio was very welcoming and accommodating. Him and his wife do stay in the basement floor, which I was worried about, but there’s a completely separate entrance, grounds and driveway for both, we had total privacy and you wouldn’t even know they were there, they are completely separate spaces, so if that’s a concern rest assured it’s not an issue. The house was very clean and comfortable. You can tell there’s a lot of pride in the house because every piece of furniture, artwork and design was chosen with a passion and vision. The views are great, especially from the terrace outside of the bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and nice to cook in. The area was a great place to explore Tuscany and umbria, the Val D’orcia was 30 min away (Pienza, montepulciano, etc), the Chianti region was also 30 min away. I highly recommend setting your Google maps to “avoid toll roads and highways” when visiting hill towns and restaurants because it will take you on the most amazing roads! We’ll be back for sure.

Ein Feriehaus mit einem tollen Ausblick über das Val di Chiana und umgeben von wunderschönen Olivenbäumen. Wir waren zwei Wochen zu Gast und fühlten uns sehr, sehr gut aufgehoben. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die Sauberkeit des Hauses sowie die Zurückhaltung von Fabrizio als Vermieter, der im Untergeschoss mit komplett eigenem Hauszugang lebt (Hanglage); der Zugang zum Ferienhaus ist entsprechend eine Etage höher und geht in die entgegengesetzte Richtung heraus. Bei Bedarf ist Fabrizio in allen Belangen eine große praktische Hilfe. Perfekt! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke für die schöne Zeit! Viele Grüße, Djamak und Georg

Besonders zu erwähnen ist die Sauberkeit des Hauses sowie die Zurückhaltung von Fabrizio als Vermieter, der im Untergeschoss mit komplett eigenem Hauszugang lebt (Hanglage); der Zugang zum Ferienhaus ist entsprechend eine Etage höher und geht in die entgegengesetzte Richtung heraus. Poggio dell\'Eremita was the last stop of our month in Tuscany and it was absolutely the most relaxing. Nestled amongst olive trees, the villa was super clean and so lovely. Comfortable seating, comfortable bed, beautiful decor, and multiple places outside to sit, read, and eat. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking, including bottles of wine available to purchase, and we also ate out at a great nearby restaurant Scroccazucche, recommended by our wonderful hosts Fabrizio and Nicola. We enjoyed a great tour of the gardens surrounding the house and got introduced to (rooster) Trump and his chickens, who were very quiet and polite and gave us 3 fresh eggs. We loved eating breakfast at the patio table outside the kitchen and relaxing in the afternoon on the covered back porch. The stairs to the bedroom areas are narrow and steep, but have good handrails and lighting. Upstairs there are screened windows that allow the breeze and an AC when it\'s too warm. Outside the bedroom is a rooftop deck with an amazing view across the valley and surrounding hills. Drive a little past where google directs, go around the next corner and look for the "Eremita" sign on the left where you can park your car...you won\'t regret a stay at this sweet villa! Fabrizio and Nicola are delightful hosts!

The owner, Fabrizio, was so charming. He doesn't speak any English, but he has Google Translate down. This house is more beautiful than the photos show. The grounds are immaculate & we were told that we could use any of the herbs growing in the garden. We made 2 dinners while we were there and the kitchen is well equipped to cook in. There are no spices, so you have to bring your own. The location is in the country, but you can get to many Tuscan villages in a short amount of time. If we return to Tuscany, we will stay here again.

The current pictures do not do the property justice! We were greeted by Fabrizio and made to feel at home. Kitchen was well equipped (just need your own spices). Close to all the towns and villages we wanted to see. This property is beautifully decorated and the grounds are just as pretty. Would recommend this property!!!

The villa was amazing! The photos do not do it Justice. The property is beautiful, with gardens of olive trees, strawberries, tomatoes, lavender flowers etc etc.. stunning. The owner Fabrizio was very welcoming and accommodating. Him and his wife do stay in the basement floor, which I was worried about, but there’s a completely separate entrance, grounds and driveway for both, we had total privacy and you wouldn’t even know they were there, they are completely separate spaces, so if that’s a concern rest assured it’s not an issue. The house was very clean and comfortable. You can tell there’s a lot of pride in the house because every piece of furniture, artwork and design was chosen with a passion and vision. The views are great, especially from the terrace outside of the bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and nice to cook in. The area was a great place to explore Tuscany and umbria, the Val D’orcia was 30 min away (Pienza, montepulciano, etc), the Chianti region was also 30 min away. I highly recommend setting your Google maps to “avoid toll roads and highways” when visiting hill towns and restaurants because it will take you on the most amazing roads! We’ll be back for sure.

Right from the moment we arrived, Fabrizio was the most gracious, warm and welcoming host. We were tempted to record his uniquely charming welcome! The villa is even better than the photos! Fabrizio doesn’t speak English but communicates in all languages easily with a translation app., and his son is available and very responsive if you want someone to communicate with in English. Fabrizio provided an excellent selection of local wines on site at extremely reasonable prices. Every one we tried was great. Great restaurant with the best pizza in Italy 5 min drive away. Hard to mention all of the pluses: a different terrace for every time of the day, including a jaw dropping view from the BR terrace, patio with grill & fresh herbs to pick, absolutely beautiful gardens full of olive trees, jasmine, giant rosemary bushes, artichokes, strawberry lined pathways…, soft marble floor throughout (cooling and great underfoot), comfortable bed & linens…and did we mention the view? Many distant Tuscan hill towns visible including Cortona. We were sad to leave and would love to return someday!! Grazie mil Fabrizio & familia!!

It was so special, Frabrizio greets you and is so welcoming and proud of his home. The pictures do not do it justice. More beautiful and quaint in person. See the sunrise come up over Tuscany from your bedroom. Every detail was taken care of, the grounds the gardens are immaculate and beautiful. We traveled all over Tuscany. Could not have picked a better olace.

This is a beautiful Tuscan home! Peaceful setting away from towns, breathtaking views, and gorgeous inside and out. I can't say enough about how much we loved staying here. Our host went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our vacation, he even would drop us off/pick us up from the train station.

Our stay at Il Poggio dell'Eremita was nothing short of magical! Its a beautifully appointed home, very clean and comfortable! The location is breathtaking, surrounded by mountains, olive groves and ancient walled cities. Our hosts were gracious and kind, available to answer questions, but also allowed privacy. Fabrizio went above and beyond to help us with a car issue, essentially making it a non-problem. Tranquil, peaceful, beautiful and convenient to many places of interest, I could not give a higher endorsement. We hope for the opportunity to return again to this amazing place!

Fabrizio's place is just gorgeous. When we arrived, he gave us a detailed tour of the gardens and house, both of which are beautiful and have all conveniences. We enjoyed walking to the small and lovely town of Farnatella, and driving a few minutes to the gorgeous Lucignano. While he and his wife do live in the downstairs of the house, they have a separate entrance and were respectful of our privacy while we were there. I hope to return for a longer stay!

Wir haben die Zeit in der zauberhaften Ferienwohnung von Fabrizio sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und individuell eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr hochwertig und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Der Aussenbereich ist sehr vielseitig. Von einer schönen Dachterrasse über einen äusseren Essbereich bis zu Liegestühlen gab es alles. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist sehr gut. Wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben, war sofort Antwort bzw. Hilfe da. Ansonsten haben wir kaum gemerkt, dass noch jemand auf dem Grundstück lebt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Fabrizio was a great host, house exceeded our expectations. Secluded, quiet BUT Sinalunga was close by for supplies. Siena was 30 minutes away. In the close by village of Rigomagno was a restaurant called Scroccazuche (suggested by our host)...it was some of the finest food we have EVER eaten

This place is beautifully maintained, quiet, peaceful yet close to many of the Tuscany hill towns. Fabrizio is charming and accomodates any of your requests. Sunrise and full moon were equally spectacular. Will definitely stay again when I return to Toscanna!!!

Beautiful old house with modern touches, in the middle of countryside Tuscany. Owner very courteous and accommodating. The house is a little hard to find at first, a few more details would be helpful but this is our only complaint. We really enjoyed our time there and are greatful for the experience. Il Poggio dell‘Eremita ist ein Ort zum Verlieben! Das wunderschöne Haus im toskanischen Stil ist liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet und ist absolut ruhig gelegen. Inmitten von Olivenbäumen fühlt man sich vom allerersten Moment an unglaublich wohl. Fabrizio, der Hausbesitzer, empfängt einen bei der Anreise mit großer Herzlichkeit und Humor und zeigt einem alles, was man wissen muss. Er steht einem auch während des Aufenthalts bei Fragen immer zur Verfügung, ist aber gleichzeitig absolut diskret - man würde gar nicht bemerken, dass er das deutlich tiefer gelegene Suterrain bewohnt. Wir waren 10 Tage hier und haben uns die meiste Zeit im Haus aufgehalten, da wir einfach entspannen wollten - und uns ist nichts aufgefallen, was man „besser“ machen könnte. Auch alle technischen Geräte im Haus funktionieren einwandfrei, die Sanitärgegenstände sind modern und sehr gepflegt und man kann nur jeden beglückwünschen, der sich für dieses schöne Feriendomizil entscheidet! Abschließend noch eine Information zum Thema Einkaufen: Gerade einmal 10 Autominuten entfernt ist das Städtchen Sinalunga, wo es wirklich alles gibt - von verschiedenen Supermärkten (sogar ein Bio-Fachmarkt) bis zu einem wirklich großen Outletcenter, falls einem der Sinn nach Shopping steht. Er steht einem auch während des Aufenthalts bei Fragen immer zur Verfügung, ist aber gleichzeitig absolut diskret - man würde gar nicht bemerken, dass er das deutlich tiefer gelegene Suterrain bewohnt. Wir waren 10 Tage hier und haben uns die meiste Zeit im Haus aufgehalten, da wir einfach entspannen wollten - und uns ist nichts aufgefallen, was man „besser“ machen könnte. Auch alle technischen Geräte im Haus funktionieren einwandfrei, die Sanitärgegenstände sind modern und sehr gepflegt und man kann nur jeden beglückwünschen, der sich für dieses schöne Feriendomizil entscheidet! Abschließend noch eine Information zum Thema Einkaufen: Gerade einmal 10 Autominuten entfernt ist das Städtchen Sinalunga, wo es wirklich alles gibt - von verschiedenen Supermärkten (sogar ein Bio-Fachmarkt) bis zu einem wirklich großen Outletcenter, falls einem der Sinn nach Shopping steht. Stayed here for five days recuperating from busy days in Rome. The garden was absolutely spectacular so quiet and quaint beautiful Italian love spending time in the comfortable chairs making home cooked dinner having wine visiting with Orchard cats as they cruise through the property. The host was unbelievably kind and generous loved the option of being able to purchase wine on the property without having to go into town. Speaking of town is about a 10 minute drive away Several cute places to eat and grocery stores. A fantastic little place in the middle of the country side centrally locatedcould not recommend this more. Cannot wait to come back again!!!

The perfect place to stay for our time in Tuscany! Fabrizio was a warm and friendly host! We absolutely loved the house and gardens! We enjoyed exploring the hillside town nearby! It was conveniently located for exploring northern Tuscany.

We absolutely loved our stay! Fabrizio was a wonderful host, he met us outside and showed us where to park. Gave us a brief history of the house and quick tour. He recommended an amazing local restaurant and quaint little town to visit, Lucignano, that you can see up on the hill from the house. Hardest part about the stay is deciding which towns to visit!

We had a lovely stay in this home. Fabrizio is incredibly welcoming and kind. The views were amazing, and there were multiple outdoor seating areas to enjoy the scenery. If you're looking for a more remote stay, this is for you. A 20-40 minute drive will get you to nearby towns, sights, and restaurants, so having a method of transportation allows you to fully enjoy the area.

Fabrizio was a great host, house exceeded our expectations. Secluded, quiet BUT Sinalunga was close by for supplies. Siena was 30 minutes away. In the close by village of Rigomagno was a restaurant called Scroccazuche (suggested by our host)...it was some of the finest food we have EVER eaten

Poggio dell\'Eremita was the last stop of our month in Tuscany and it was absolutely the most relaxing. Nestled amongst olive trees, the villa was super clean and so lovely. Comfortable seating, comfortable bed, beautiful decor, and multiple places outside to sit, read, and eat. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking, including bottles of wine available to purchase, and we also ate out at a great nearby restaurant Scroccazucche, recommended by our wonderful hosts Fabrizio and Nicola. We enjoyed a great tour of the gardens surrounding the house and got introduced to (rooster) Trump and his chickens, who were very quiet and polite and gave us 3 fresh eggs. We loved eating breakfast at the patio table outside the kitchen and relaxing in the afternoon on the covered back porch. The stairs to the bedroom areas are narrow and steep, but have good handrails and lighting. Upstairs there are screened windows that allow the breeze and an AC when it\'s too warm. Outside the bedroom is a rooftop deck with an amazing view across the valley and surrounding hills. Drive a little past where google directs, go around the next corner and look for the "Eremita" sign on the left where you can park your car...you won\'t regret a stay at this sweet villa! Fabrizio and Nicola are delightful hosts!

The owner, Fabrizio, was so charming. He doesn't speak any English, but he has Google Translate down. This house is more beautiful than the photos show. The grounds are immaculate & we were told that we could use any of the herbs growing in the garden. We made 2 dinners while we were there and the kitchen is well equipped to cook in. There are no spices, so you have to bring your own. The location is in the country, but you can get to many Tuscan villages in a short amount of time. If we return to Tuscany, we will stay here again.

The current pictures do not do the property justice! We were greeted by Fabrizio and made to feel at home. Kitchen was well equipped (just need your own spices). Close to all the towns and villages we wanted to see. This property is beautifully decorated and the grounds are just as pretty. Would recommend this property!!!

Wonderful hosts, cottage, and location in a peaceful olive grove setting. We confused our check-our day, and the hosts were very gracious with us despite our error and late check-out. The house is fully stocked with wine and refreshments for purchase. It’s a charming location centrally located to the best of what Tuscany has to offer. Highly recommend! ❤️

From the moment that we arrived, each day was a gift. The beautiful villa situated amongst the olive groves was beyond our expectations. From exploring the gorgeous grounds to the fabulous view from the upstairs balcony situated off the Primary suite, we were tempted never to leave this expeptional property. We were welcomed by our host's, Fabrizio and Paula who generously shared tid bits of info about the region which were invaluable to our overall experience. The nearby town has the most amazing restaurant that we frequented and that we also selfishly indulged in for take away to enjoy in the beautiful sunrooom for a romantic dinner for two. Oh, and as an added bonus, the hen on the property just might lay an egg or two for breakfast!! We highly recommend this gorgeous villa. Right from the moment we arrived, Fabrizio was the most gracious, warm and welcoming host. We were tempted to record his uniquely charming welcome! The villa is even better than the photos! Fabrizio doesn’t speak English but communicates in all languages easily with a translation app., and his son is available and very responsive if you want someone to communicate with in English. Fabrizio provided an excellent selection of local wines on site at extremely reasonable prices. Every one we tried was great. Great restaurant with the best pizza in Italy 5 min drive away. Hard to mention all of the pluses: a different terrace for every time of the day, including a jaw dropping view from the BR terrace, patio with grill & fresh herbs to pick, absolutely beautiful gardens full of olive trees, jasmine, giant rosemary bushes, artichokes, strawberry lined pathways…, soft marble floor throughout (cooling and great underfoot), comfortable bed & linens…and did we mention the view? Many distant Tuscan hill towns visible including Cortona. We were sad to leave and would love to return someday!! Grazie mil Fabrizio & familia!!

We absolutely loved our time in Fabrizio’s Tuscan villa. It was beautifully situated among an olive grove and we loved sitting out in the outdoor area enjoying a glass of wine. The local restaurant had incredible pizza and homemade pasta. Fabrizio was a gracious host who made himself available when we needed and was very accommodating. We will definitely be coming g back!

We had 2 wonderful nights in this quaint villa, Fabrizio has lovingly restored and furnished the villa. We cooked up delicious meals and lit the outdoor fire and enjoyed the views from the upstairs terrace. Also central for a day trip to Roma and Florence. This beautiful countryside home was perfect for our one night stay in Tuscany. Fabrizio was a fantastic host and gave us the most inviting welcome and tour of the home. This property truly was a dream! Nestled in the Tuscan hillside it provided a gorgeous and peaceful escape, while still being a 5 to 10 minute drive from any amenities we need. It was perfectly situated to explore the entirety of the Val d'Orcia by car!La famiglia Andreoni were so welcoming and so helpful, they truly made us feel like one of them! The hosts live on the property but, as other reviews say, they are in a completely separate part of the property and so we truly felt like we had the place to ourselves. Fabricio greeted us with such joy and we had absolutely no problem communicating with him via translation apps. He gave us an incredible number of recommendations for sights to see and things to do and food to eat while we were there. He also gave us a tour of his garden after he found out that we are also gardeners, and it was such a wonderful and warm welcome. The place itself was so comfortable and homey that we were sad we only booked five nights! We loved watching the sunset from the upper balcony and greeting the morning with the rooster and chickens on the property. The three cats that frequented the property also added charm and kept us company as we all sunned ourselves on the back patio! What a magical place, and we absolutely know that we will be returning to stay for longer. Looking forward to it!

This was the perfect spot for our Tuscany 4 day visit. Put us right in the middle of where we wanted to visit.The house is exactly what we wanted for a visit. It’s not a 5 star luxury resort. It is house that we envisioned while visiting Tuscany. Very clean, Fabrizio is great (and he has Google translate down ;-) ).
