Sehr schöne , moderne Superior Zimmer, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet sind. Tolles Frühstück . Zimmer mit herrlichem Blick ins Tal und auf den Hausberg. Parken direkt am Hotel. Nettes Personal. Wir würden wieder kommen.

A beautiful property with clean room and friendly hosts. Parking on property was easy and the breakfast was just perfect, I love the croissants :) Highly recommended when you are in the Interlaken area.

This is not in Interlaken. This is about 4 miles outside of Interlaken. To get there you get off the train at Interlaken West and then catch bus 106 to Habkern Post. The bus times can be found on the SBB app. Last bus runs about 7pm, don’t miss it or the taxi will run you about $47 Swiss Francs. This is an old Chalet being run by a sweet young couple. It needs renovation but they are wonderful and it is very clean. I did not enjoy the shared bath but shame on me for not paying attention to what I was booking. But even being a shared bath, it was very clean. They have a restaurant on the lower level and the food was great! We arrived late and they still offered to feed us. Breakfast in the morning was very adequate and they make the coffee for you which was a nice treat. The location is quaint!! There is a bakery across the street and the pastries are delicious! Such a beautiful little town. Highly recommend the view. And if you are lucky, at 8pm the church bells ring across the hill. So beautiful!

Dejligt bjerghotel med FANTASTISK smuk beliggenhed. Sengene var ikke så gode - for bløde til mig - og der var ikke eget toilet og bad, hvilket trækker lidt ned. Nu var jeg der udenfor sæsonen, og vi var de eneste på hotellet, så vi havde toilet og bad for os selv. Fantastisk venlig betjening, og med egen restaurant.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room/bed. All was very clean. Breakfast was good. The bathroom needed to be remodeled, but functional, clean, plenty of hot water. I think it is in the owner's plan to redo the bathrooms soon. Location was good for Interlaken area, but in a quiet area instead of busy city. We would stay here again.

The staff there was absolutely amazing and nice, I can not stress that enough. The breakfast, even though simple, was very delicious and had enough variety, especially the jam and fresh bread were great. Location is fine, a little out of the way, a car is kinda necessary. Our room was nice and clean, the view was great, however, for tall people absolutely inconvenient. I cannot count how often we hit our heads at the doorframe to the tiny bathroom, as well as literally touching the ceiling with our heads while taking a shower. The bed was technically comfortable but the two mattresses kept sliding apart during the night and it’s too short for tall people. The biggest issue for us was the common balcony right in front of our window. While it’s nice to have a common balcony for everyone, it’s horrible if you’re trying to sleep and there are 4 or more people right in front of your window laughing and drinking. That said, definitely go check out the little bakery across the street, the baked goods were phenomenal. The hotel gives you a guest card, which gives you free transport with the bus, but check the timetable ahead since the last bus back goes pretty early.

We loved this little hotel, it had views out of a fairy tale book. Our room was quite nice with a large deck outside the doors. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were so nice. It was a long winding road to get to and from but it was worth the drive up. Lots of parking available. There is a great cafe next door with another great human who owns it as well.

We loved our time at Gastof Baren! The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The village of Habkern is quiet, quaint and lovely. The views were stunning. The breakfasts were delightful. Carina was a gracious and friendly hostess. Habkern off the beaten path, but convenient both to drive and to take the bus. We highly recommend it!

I think a positive stay at this hotel depends a lot on your room assignment and the other guests being respectful of the posted hours. Our room was directly next to the shared terrace, and we slept horribly. It was hot in the room with no fans, but guests were outside our window and in the apartment a story up until very late, and then others were outside early in the morning. We did open the windows for a few hours and that was more pleasant. Overall, it was a pleasant hotel but very sparse and small. My daughter opted to sleep on the floor over the bed as she was too tall. The owners were very kind and the village of Habkern is lovely. We were surprised at our experience given all the other rave reviews, so we figured it was just the room we got that was not great.

Would absolutely stay here again! The Chalet was so charming and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. Since this is a short bus ride from Interlaken, the surroundings are beautiful. We ate at the restaurant which was some of the best food we had. The entire staff was great too. Highly recommend.

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay here! Very cute and clean place, and the view is exactly what I would imagine Switzerland would be like. I really loved unwinding in a quieter area compared to interlaken, where you’d just wake up to shops. The bus also stops right out the front of the hotel! The frequency was lesser but it didn’t bother us one bit :) The staff here is also very friendly, they are generally very accommodating and I love that they offer to pack your breakfast box if you have to leave early for your day!

The staff was amazing!! When we had to leave early to go to Jungfraujoch and had to miss breakfast, they packed a very generous breakfast with sandwiches, juice and fruit for us to have on our way. They even accommodated my gluten allergy. Tremendous people!

I can't say enough great things about Gasthof Bären! Staff/service was super friendly and knowledgeable (and entertained my americanized stuttery-German) from check-in to check-out. The property is absolutely beautiful, clean, and I adored their patio. Breakfast was included and we stayed for dinner/drinks as well--all of which were delicious. I appreciate that the hotel was tucked away from the noise and hustle of Interlaken, but still just a short bus ride away. I will definitely book here again if I have the pleasure of returning to Switzerland!

This is a clean an beautiful hotel a little out of the bustle of Interlaken with gorgeous views of the area. It was easy to get to by bus from the main train station. The family owned staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

We loved this little hotel, it had views out of a fairy tale book. Our room was quite nice with a large deck outside the doors. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were so nice. It was a long winding road to get to and from but it was worth the drive up. Lots of parking available. There is a great cafe next door with another great human who owns it as well.

This is not in Interlaken. This is about 4 miles outside of Interlaken. To get there you get off the train at Interlaken West and then catch bus 106 to Habkern Post. The bus times can be found on the SBB app. Last bus runs about 7pm, don’t miss it or the taxi will run you about $47 Swiss Francs. This is an old Chalet being run by a sweet young couple. It needs renovation but they are wonderful and it is very clean. I did not enjoy the shared bath but shame on me for not paying attention to what I was booking. But even being a shared bath, it was very clean. They have a restaurant on the lower level and the food was great! We arrived late and they still offered to feed us. Breakfast in the morning was very adequate and they make the coffee for you which was a nice treat. The location is quaint!! There is a bakery across the street and the pastries are delicious! Such a beautiful little town. Highly recommend the view. And if you are lucky, at 8pm the church bells ring across the hill. So beautiful!

Very cute hotel in the mountains outside of Interlaken. The owners are very sweet and attentive. Great breakfast and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you down to Interlaken. Great experience.

Amei, quarto confortavel, apesar do banheiro ser compartilhado tive privacidade e a higiene estava sempre impecável. Cafe da manhã delicioso e toda a equipe super educada, fui recebida com bilhete e chocolates suíços. Uma delicisa. O hotel é bem distante de Interlaken e o onibus tem horarios restritivos. Verifique sempre os horarios porque taxi é caríssimo.

You need to stay at this hotel. It was our favourite hotel in Switzerland. 10 minutes up the mountain from interlaken. It is so peaceful and serene. The staff make you feel like family. The breakfast was amazing and the views. Just wow. The restaurant was fantastic and there is also an amazing bakery across the street. I could go on and on about this place. It’s magical. Stay here!!!

Amazing stay, the room was a good size, bed was comfortable & the buffet breakfast was delicious! Service was great throughout & the hotel was in a great location to drive down to the centre of Interlaken.

One of the best properties I’ve stayed in. The view, the rooms, the staff with an inclusive breakfast - all it hit it just right. Transportation was very easy - there is a bus plying every hour to and fro Interlaken until 7:04pm. Collect the cards from front office to ride this bus for free. Overall, a lovely stay with just amazing setup.

We enjoyed the views in this small town. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was the limited hours of operation of the public bus. The last bus from Interlaken departed at 7pm. We ended up paying $60 for taxi to return from Interlaken at one night.

Spent 2 nights. We had an amazing and relaxing stay. It was peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views. We ate the best food here during our entire trip. Very clean. The owners were kind, lovely people. Next time we are staying 2 weeks.

Ein einfaches Gasthaus mit einem überragenden Restaurant. Auch das Frühstück ist ein Genuss. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach, und auch hier spiegelt der gute Führungsstil sich in den Zimmern wieder und sind sehr sauber. Die Betten sind sehr gut.

A beautiful property with clean room and friendly hosts. Parking on property was easy and the breakfast was just perfect, I love the croissants :) Highly recommended when you are in the Interlaken area.

El mene del desayuno era muy completo y sirven muy buen café. El servicio es excelente. La habitación se encuentra limpia y con una bella vista. En general fue una excelente experiencia. Lo único es poner atención a los horarios del bus si te mueves en transporte público, pero fuera de eso todo estuvo excelente. Gracias!

I can't say enough great things about Gasthof Bären! Staff/service was super friendly and knowledgeable (and entertained my americanized stuttery-German) from check-in to check-out. The property is absolutely beautiful, clean, and I adored their patio. Breakfast was included and we stayed for dinner/drinks as well--all of which were delicious. I appreciate that the hotel was tucked away from the noise and hustle of Interlaken, but still just a short bus ride away. I will definitely book here again if I have the pleasure of returning to Switzerland!

Would absolutely stay here again! The Chalet was so charming and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. Since this is a short bus ride from Interlaken, the surroundings are beautiful. We ate at the restaurant which was some of the best food we had. The entire staff was great too. Highly recommend.

Christian and his team are the perfect hosts. Check-in is easy (parking permit, finding room, Wifi, tips for the village). The public pool in the village is small, but charming and half the price with the hotel guest card. Buses from and to Interlaken are free as well. The little grocery store just across the street has delicious local cheese. Dinner in the quiet garden offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and green grass land of the valley. At night you only hear the cow and goat bells. Rooms are style fully, yet minimalist. All you need is really there. Breakfast has lots of variety, especially delicious bread. I plan to come back, possibly in winter.

Stayed in a standard twin room. Self check in was very smooth. The room was clean but a bit dated. It had a small fan that we needed due to really warm weather but unfortunately it was very noisy. It was a good place to base ourselves for exploring the area away from the crowds, with great views. The breakfast was good and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
