Son Bou

Such a wonderful place. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend anyone considering booking. The pool was fantastic and the views were unbelievable. To sit and watch the mountains change colour during the evening was very special. The villa was very clean. No unduly road noise so this did not cause any issues. The village called Fornalutx was very close by and we would recommend highly. You do need a car to get around. We will return if we can. Just a separate note which relates to driving in Soller, do not follow sat nav to car parks in the middle of the town centre as there are strict restrictions and fines. I think we unfortunately made that error.

If you are looking for a relaxing and welcoming place where you are treated kindly, this is NOT it. The owners made our holidays incredibly stressful and not relaxing. We would never stay there again. The first time we stayed at Son Bou, the cleaning staff called some manager or owner, who then told us over the phone that we had "trashed" the place and were lying about the state of it. We left it impeccable and were in shock, it was stressful. We ended up filming it all, so we would have proof. The agency, Homerti, told us it was a misunderstanding and refunded the bond, so we booked it again 2 weeks later as we thought it to be an exception. During our second visit, after our first night there at 9 am on a Sunday, the owner came unannounced onto the property to tell us that we had brought 6 or 8 people onto the property. Not only did he not tell us his name nor who he was at first, but I was also scared as he looked quite rough, angry and told us that there were cameras where he had seen this group of people coming in. I had no idea if we were safe there, who these mysterious "people" were, if he was a scammer or why he bothered us and accused us early on a Sunday morning during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. He ended up apologising, but the damage was already done, I do not appreciate being treated as criminals during my holidays.

The house is even better than on the pictures. House and surroundings are lovely and in excellent condition - brilliant view over the town of Soller and the landscape from the terrace. A good starting point for hiking trips or trips in general to various places of the Island. Worth the price - highly recommended.

Location was superb with great views over Soller and the surrounding hills. Garden was beautiful and terraces were perfect for sunbathing and eating al fresco.
