We had a great 2 day stay at the Port Hotel It is a well restored 125 yo hotel, so classic Victorian feel with solid comfort. Lots of self serve choices in the kitchen for breakfast. The bar connected to the hotel was crazy good with nice wine and whiskey (125 bottles) choices. Dinner was good too. We could see the harbor from our room Will stay here again

The Port Hotel is very quaint. It is in a great location to walk just about anywhere. It is always quiet at night. The hotel has a nice coffee area with great pastries. We love staying there whenever we are in town. On a bad note, our bathroom ran out of toilet paper, and there wasn't any to be had anywhere. Good thing there was tissues.

The rooms were quite nice, I was disappointed that the restaurant," Moolight Tavern" , in the hotel, was not open on Sunday and Monday. The lounge area where we ate breakfast was welcoming and fully stocked with excellent breakfast food. Hopefully they will complete their paln to build an elevator.

The hotel is beautiful. Not your typical hotel with check-in but it was a totally unique experience. Very cozy rooms. The only thing some people may have an issue with is no elevators which makes getting up the steps with a suitcase a little challenging but otherwise a very nice stay. There was no staff or on site services though but there is a convenient restaurant located in the hotel for lunch and dinner.

Absolutely loved this little cute hotel- it had such a charm to it. Hotel was very quiet and had so much to offer as well. There is a kitchen with snacks and drinks and a resturant bar on the main floor. So close to shops resturants and the lake as well! We def will be back

Nice hotel. The downside is the STEEP and long staircase you need to haul your bags up. Whew! It would be appreciated if the hotel offered baggage service but that's not available. If schlepping your bags up and down those awful stairs is a potential issue for you, consider a different hotel.

The room was cozy, clean, comfortable. I enjoyed the 2nd floor lounge with lots of choices of food, snacks, and treats. I didn't mind to lack of elevator although it may be problematic for some.

We enjoyed our time at the Port Hotel. Our room was very clean other than a few coffee spots on the carpet. The bathroom was large and easy to get ready. The lounge area is adorable with lots of great snacks and breakfast food to make. Charming hotel close to everything downtown.

We loved our stay here. Charming and quant. It is an older building but that gives it the charm. Everything is up kept and the lounge area was well stocked. It was the perfect spot for my husband and I and will definitely book again.

The 100 year old property was exceptionally clean and unique. I highly recommend when staying in Port Washington. The restaurant and bar on the main level is a gem! I will definitely be back again.

The room was furnished nicely. The selections for breakfast were good, but many of the selections needed to be microwaved and the microwave didn't seem to be working. The carpet in the room was very stained and dirty. The shared space between the restaurant and the inn were not clean. We didnt know there was no elevator or front desk personnel until after the room was booked. This mattered to us because the room was for ky elderly parents. The stay would have been more enjoyable for them if it had a more tradition set up with actual person to person communication instead of everything being virtual or online. They don't even own a smart phone. The reason i chose this inn was because i thought it would be a more personable experience than a big name hotel like Holiday Inn. It turned out to be less clean, less personable, less convenient, and more money. Live and learn i suppose. Jim, the manager was very friendly on the phone, but i don't think they saw or spoke to him during their stay.

Nothing to eat for breakfast. Sign saying bagels and muffins available, but there were none. No bread. Very small amount of full fat milk only. So only items available were snack bars or a chocolate muffin, for breakfast???!! We had to go and buy breakfast elsewhere so we were very disappointed as should have been included in the price. Either items aren't replenished or there were some selfish guests who took everything. Annoying having to drag suitcases up two floors. Wjen we settled in our room the toilet was blocked. Pros were that the proprietor was friendly, and the beds comfy.

We had a good time at Port Hotel. We enjoyed the extras provided for us in the lounge. The room was very clean. I guess this was the off season so it was very quiet. Port Washington is a nice weekend getaway.

We stayed one night at the Port Hotel. It is a gorgeous facility. It does not have an elevator and the stairs are very narrow to walk up three flights. It is self check-in. There was a storm that came late that night and it was very loud in our third floor bedroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The in room, Jacuzzi was very nice.

This is a beautiful historic hotel located in a safe, great area. We loved that we could just park our car for two days and walk to everything. There were so many great restaurants in walking distance. Our room was gorgeous! Loved the decor and the fireplace.

Our room wasn't ready at 3pm. I texted, left a VM and emailed Jim Read the proprietor and received NO response. The bartender actually gave me the proprietor's personal cell number and I called and got in touch with him. The proprietor said that the housekeeper had to suddenly leave for an emergency and that he was on his way to make up the room. It was ready about 90 minutes to 2 hours later. He stated to me that he would call and let me know when the room was ready. He didn't. He stated to me that he would knock $20.00 off the room fee and give us 2 free drinks in the bar. He didn't. This was our 4th time there and 1st time with new owners of the hotel and restaurant. (Two separate owners) It's our last time there.

We did not know that there was no elevator. We are in our 60s and had a difficult time lifting our suitcases to the hotel on the 2nd floor. Would not have stayed there. I texted the innkeeper (not on site) and asked where the elevator was (in case I missed it). He wrote back 6 hours later with "sorry that should have been clear." Clearly not on property?

We ended up booking the hotel at the very last minute. The hotel innkeeper called us to make sure we knew how to check in and that we were aware of the amenities that were offered. We had a great time exploring downtown Port Washington. It is a very unique hotel to stay at.

It was nice and quiet. Stairs were a little rough, since I just had a knee replacement. Also, kind of weird not having a "front desk", but the restore was awesome. The free pastries and coffee was awesome.

We had a lovely stay at the Port Hotel, and would gladly return. From the condition of the room to the friendliness of the (separate) tavern downstairs, it was a great place. We had a couple of easy questions the first day and the response from the host was timely and helpful. The location is great and there are tons of things to do nearby.
We had a lovely stay at the Port Hotel, and would gladly return. From the condition of the room to the friendliness of the (separate) tavern downstairs, it was a great place. We had a couple of easy questions the first day and the response from the host was timely and helpful. The location is great and there are tons of things to do nearby.

Delightfully elegant old building, beautifully remodeled and having all the modern comforts you'd want. Just pay attention to taking the outside key with you when you leave the building at night so you don't have to bother the innkeeper at home! Although, he was extremely gracious and helpful. There is no front desk.

The door to our room was initially locked when we got inside, I called the innkeeper and he answered immediately and got us in! He even brought us a complimentary bottle of wine! Super awesome staff and the lounge room is awesome to make whatever you want to eat and hangout in!

It was a very unique place to stay. I did not receive email instructions about check in. Not sure if that was an Expedia thing or not. Called the number and everything was explained well and we were all set. View was great. Would recommend for anyone looking for a old world charm hotel.

The room was furnished nicely. The selections for breakfast were good, but many of the selections needed to be microwaved and the microwave didn't seem to be working. The carpet in the room was very stained and dirty. The shared space between the restaurant and the inn were not clean. We didnt know there was no elevator or front desk personnel until after the room was booked. This mattered to us because the room was for ky elderly parents. The stay would have been more enjoyable for them if it had a more tradition set up with actual person to person communication instead of everything being virtual or online. They don't even own a smart phone. The reason i chose this inn was because i thought it would be a more personable experience than a big name hotel like Holiday Inn. It turned out to be less clean, less personable, less convenient, and more money. Live and learn i suppose. Jim, the manager was very friendly on the phone, but i don't think they saw or spoke to him during their stay.

The hotel is a recent remodel and the room was great. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Bath and towels were great. Location is perfect as you can walk to all the great shops and food joints. Oh and 2 blocks to the beautiful port parks and marina. There is not front desk to check-in at so that is unusual but not a problem. Check-in details are provided upon booking. Parking is easy and free. Neighborhood is quiet.

What a wonderful hotel. The self check-in worked as suggested and the room is gorgeous. It’s well located in a beautiful town, close to a wide choice of top bars and eateries. We’ll worth staying here.

This is a beautiful historic hotel located in a safe, great area. We loved that we could just park our car for two days and walk to everything. There were so many great restaurants in walking distance. Our room was gorgeous! Loved the decor and the fireplace.

I loved staying here. Its in Port Washington so youre away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Check-in and out and was very easy. I wish i could have stayed longer!

We had a great 2 day stay at the Port Hotel It is a well restored 125 yo hotel, so classic Victorian feel with solid comfort. Lots of self serve choices in the kitchen for breakfast. The bar connected to the hotel was crazy good with nice wine and whiskey (125 bottles) choices. Dinner was good too. We could see the harbor from our room Will stay here again

We did not receive check in information until we arrived at location, We was never told there were stairs to get to room and there was a paper with everyones name on in the hallway not much privacy. Hotel claims breakfast was included- it was day old bakery and warmed up frozen breakfast sandwiches.

The rooms were quite nice, I was disappointed that the restaurant," Moolight Tavern" , in the hotel, was not open on Sunday and Monday. The lounge area where we ate breakfast was welcoming and fully stocked with excellent breakfast food. Hopefully they will complete their paln to build an elevator.

Very charming property. Room was super cute & bed was comfy. 2nd floor lounge with a good selection of breakfast items. We were also able to check in early. Excellent location. Highly recommend!

Nothing to eat for breakfast. Sign saying bagels and muffins available, but there were none. No bread. Very small amount of full fat milk only. So only items available were snack bars or a chocolate muffin, for breakfast???!! We had to go and buy breakfast elsewhere so we were very disappointed as should have been included in the price. Either items aren't replenished or there were some selfish guests who took everything. Annoying having to drag suitcases up two floors. Wjen we settled in our room the toilet was blocked. Pros were that the proprietor was friendly, and the beds comfy.

Nice, convenient place to stay. There are some nice shops, restaurants, and pubs within walking distance. The room was comfortable and nice. The only challenge for the hotel was that it didn’t have an elevator and we were on the third floor. It’s an older hotel so the stairs are steep.
