Wild Atlantic Apartments Killarney

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Parking is conveniently right outside. A supermarket is nearby. The kitchen is well eqipped for cooking meals. It is ideal for a several day stay. It is a 20 minute walk to the town center though so we drove there and parked.

Check in was easy and simple, All Communication and guest information was great from The team. The apartment was spacious and well kept. All linen clean. Hot water instructions were easy to follow however, trying to get the taps to work in the showers to make the hot come through was challenging, once we figured it out it was all good. Good Location quick drive into Main Street and shops. The security in the building wasn’t great the front door with the code was often left open by other guests. There were also very loud and obnoxious guests on the floor above us at 3-5 am which would make so much noise that it was frightening, nothing to do with the stay just something to be aware of if booking with families. Would stay again.

Size of the property is great, however needs updating as it is run down. Worst part is all of the disputes late at night in the parking lot. Happened both nights when we stayed there. The police finally cleared them out at 11:30pm.

We stayed in a clean 2 bdrm apt on the top floor. Good location - across the road from a grocery store and shopping area with anything you could need a very short walk away, and not far from the center of town. The building is in a complex with a handful of others behind a hotel along the busy street. We arrived after 7pm and the parking area was nearly empty. Since the apartment was behind the hotel it was very quiet, especially at night. But it also felt lonely and abandoned since the buildings are large and all of them seemed completely empty when we arrived. The exterior is reasonably maintained, lawns mowed etc. but no frills- no flowers etc, just bare-bones, old, and well used, like a former project house for lower income tenants. The host sent easy instructions on how to get into the unit, no problems. The unit they gave us to had a broken lock and damage around the door frame that looked like someone had kicked it in and never properly repaired- it only latched when the lock was double-bolted. Combined with us being the only people around made me feel unsafe. We took precautions to secure the door, but still felt nervous. I would not have stayed if I were a woman traveling alone. The interior was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for living, and everything worked perfectly. Furnishings were new enough. Some surfaces could do for a redo. In the end we had a smooth & relaxing stay - it fit our needs well for the big space and the price was right.

The property was a 25 minute walk from the main area of town. It's an actual apartment building and the buildings looked a little rough. The rooms were clean but need some updating. The building itself wasn't awesome. There was plenty of space for a large group to share though.

A serviceable unit that needed upkeep in several ways. The interior doors had been painted with primer but not actually painted. The bathroom tile needed new grout in places. The pillows were very, very flat with no extras to be found. And finally, the exterior door knob had been repaired in a way that made us worry a bit about security (see photo).

The property is behind a hotel and you really have to read the intro email and pay close attention to find your way. Another couple were confused with communication as well while we were there. They do make several calls to be sure that you checked-in, but the initial email/confirmation isn't clear and the information is in several places which you have to hunt for. I got clarification on the phone because I didn't get the email before check-in. The building is clean, and the apartment was spacious. It was cold and the radiators had no instructions and were difficult to navigate as they were all different. There isn't any furniture on the patios, so they don't intend for you to take advantage of the outdoor space. The location is good, though not close to downtown, so be mindful if you're looking for a close place to go after a night out.

Communication was great and the unit was clean. The property and other buildings were pretty run down. The supplies in the kitchen were slim at best. Couldn’t have cooked anything since there was really nothing to use. Not enough silverware without having to wash every other day vs using dishwasher. It was barebones but big enough with plenty of bathrooms to go around. Beds were comfy and the place was very clean

The place was dirty. We asked for more pillows and fan and they gave us some a day later. There was no shampoo or soaps. The oven didn’t work. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We arrived - got into the apartment and turned around and walked out. It was dingy, baths were moldy it smelled musty. Area was a bit sketchy. Had to Scramble for lodging elsewhere

Apartment had an odd smell, beds were not super comfortable. Was very spacious though and had kitchen utensils.

Clean and comfy. Its a great price. Not luxurious but a great base for exploration. Showers were great. Kitchen equipped with the basics. Staff were on site and attentive. Would stay again.

If I could give this property minus 5 stars I would. It smelt like urine in the kitchen and lounge area. Was dangerous for small kids with 2 heaters hanging off the wall and a shower just hanging on! There was unrepaired holes in the walls feom doors been banged. We only stayed one of the four nights we booked be got out of there quick!

The property is peculiar.. it feels like an American dormitory, and while the units are spacious, they contain the bare minimum of amenities. For example, they offer a washing machine, but no laundry soap. Each bed had a very thin pillow and a comforter. If you needed another blanket in the cold you were out of luck. I messaged to ask about things like the laundry soap and received no response. I also found hair left behind in the shower and in the washing machine. Definitely not the best, strictly functional and not worth its cost.

Very spacious.

A bit far to walk to center of town. Place was a little outdated. Set up for 4 guests, even though had booked for 5. No hair dryer. No shampoo / conditioner. Washer but no tumble dryer. TV is tiny. Limited kitchen supplies. Communication with host was great - to provide additional chairs, bedding, pillows etc. Overall okay.

Price is 5 star price , but service is worst than 1 star. There is no reception , and the self check in process was very complicate . There is no hot water in the apartment , and there is no even basic hotel supply .

The hot water system is confusing and was loud at night. Thought we had turned it off. Good location and very clean. Would really be nice to have mirror beside hair dryer. Paper towels and salt and pepper would be helpful

Location was good, beds were comfortable but the apartment was just in need of some tlc. Sofa was broken and a chest of drawers was falling apart. Would have been good if there were instructions for the washer/dryer. None of the three shaver points/lights worked either. Mentioned this in communication but nothing was done. Overall it was ok but we only stayed 2 nights.

Perfect place for our family! Super roomy! Full kitchen, washer/dryer, living room, two bedrooms, tons of beds, 2 bathrooms! It was fabulous and so affordable!

The apartment was perfect for our holiday, it was very roomy and comfortable. There was 2 bathroom's, a fully equipped kitchen dinning area as well. We would definitely stay there again if we ever get back over there

Gorgeous, spacious 2 bed apartment, 2 bathrooms, big balcony, all the amenities (except a cork screw but that’s ok). Very comfortable beds. Excellent communication from the staff and very reasonably priced. Great location too

The location was not super convenient with regards to walking distance to any local shops or restaurants, however, there were a few places that could accommodate a family of five. The apartment, while adequately clean, lacked extra blankets and did not have an option for extra towels, which would have been handy with kids. The hot water was difficult to maintain with five people. The combo wash/dryer was convenient, however inefficient in getting clothing or towel towels, clean in a reasonable time. The property staff who let us in was fantastic, meeting us after six and preheating the unit for us, which was nice because it was a very cold night.

Absolute disgrace our apartment had no running water..company are terrible to deal with and rude still waiting on our refunds as we had to leave the property..I’d strongly advise them to do a course on communication skills

On the whole, this property is good; we really appreciated that the 2 bedroom unit had 2.5 bathrooms and was well-appointed. However, there was two issues relating to communication with property management and the condition of the unit. First, the property management insisted upon being contacted by direct phone call only, but this is difficult and leads to extra costs for foreign visitors. This lead to our check-in being unnecessarily delayed and complicated. Second, the hairdryer was broken but we were unable to contact management to resolve the issue. We would recommend the property expand their contact options to include a service more accessible to foreign visitors.

We were so pleasantly surprised with the apartment. It was spacious, modern and clean. Jamie the property manager was fabulous. He was helpful and came to assist almost immediately each time
