The cottage itself was perfect! Clean and quiet. Contacting the owners to get into the cottage is another story. The will not email you the check in information 24hrs in advance, as stated. And do not expect a response until after 1600h on the day of check in. There is minimal/no wifi and also no cell service so you have to sit outside the hotel area and wait for a response as to which cottage you're staying in and what the code is. Wifi in the cottages is spotty at best, and didn't work at all for a good portion of our stay.

Die Hütte hat alles was man braucht inkl kleiner Küchenzeile. Man kann direkt davor parken versperrt sich aber somit die tolle Aussicht.

Cabañas prácticas, en sitio muy tranquilo, ideal, si cuadra, para ver la aurora boreal, y pasar una, dos o tres noches, como campo base para ver los alrededores, camino de tu siguiente destino. Cocina y baño más que suficientes y cama pequeña, en habitación sin armario. Te cambian las toallas todos los días. En mi caso, no tuve prácticamente cobertura móvil, ni de datos, y el WiFi funcionó bien la primera noche, pero se cayó bastante las otras dos que estuve.

Highly recommended….It has all kitchen amenities. Also, it has Bathroom Shower, toilet, and Wi-Fi. Welcome Holiday Homes location is near Skogafoss waterfalls and 45minutes to Dyrhólaey beach, Reynisfjara beach, Vik Red church and Yoda’s Cave.

Exactly as described, small cabin with all the necessities. The bathroom floor and towel rack were heated which was awesome. The fridge was a nice size and there was a microwave, utensils, and lots of outlets for plugging things in.

First, we never got a promised email. We showed up and had to ask someone staying what we had to do to get the code. It is silly when you are using a code and key box to limit when you can check in. As others have mentioned, the linens where torn. The beds are soft and just foam beds. The shower leaked out into the bathroom. What more to say, I would never use this property again unless they fix things.

Quiet and clean staff nice small kitchen well stocked with pretty much anything you would need. Check in was easy. Beautiful scenery. We weren't able to enjoy the geothermal pool based on mixed reviews on line. It was nice having our own space. It seems to be well maintained. Staff provided fresh towels and cleaned up a bit, we only stayed 2 nights and really didn't expect that. Would definitely stay again.

Das Haus war an sich ok, leider nur dreckig. Der Boden war komplett voller dreck. Den ersten Tag fehlte der Regler an der Bad Heizung also lief diese die komplette zeit durch was das Haus unerträglich heiß machte

Communication was non existent. Did not receive the door code until 4 o’clock on the same day of our booking then had to wait 2 hours after check-in before the cabin was cleaned.

Unzureichende Sauberkeit und Erreichbarkeit des Anbieters. Für den Self-Check-In bedarf es eines Codes, welcher bei dem Anbieter der Häuschen telefonisch erfragt werden muss. Wir haben bereits eine halbe Stunde vor Ankunft angerufen, doch auch nach über 10(!) Anrufen, erhielten wir noch immer keinen Code, da die Anrufe nicht angenommen wurden. Nach einer weiteren Mail sowie einer WhatsApp-Nachricht erhielten wir dann nach ca. 1 Stunde unseren Code. Die Häuschen sind von der Idee ganz nett und für 1-2 Nächte eine coole Anternative, leider war unser Bett (in Haus Nr. 404) voller Bettwanzen (ich würde Bilder anhängen, wenn ich könnte). Das hat uns den Aufenthalt sehr versaut! Die Häuser an sich sind super hellhörig, weshalb man Nachts jedes Geräusch von Draußen hört.

Pas loin de differents points d interet au sud de l Islande, facile a trouver car a proximite de la route 1 mais on n entend pas les voitures. Apporter de quoi se nourrir je n ai pas vu de restau ni supermarche a proximite . Conforme au descriptif 1 lit double et 1 convertible . Tout fonctionne bien dans la cuisinnette . On a meme assiste a une superbe aurore boreale visible depuis la grande baie vitree du sejour. Bien sur c est mieux dehors avec les montagnes autour cela donne de bons 1ers plans pour les photos.

We had to wait nearly an hour before we received a pod number and code for the key. The pod itself was overpriced for what it was; water pressure was low, there was no WiFi, and the bed was small and without a frame.

Absolutely loved my stay here - the holiday home are based in such a picturesque location with the dramatic mountains surrounding you. Although the bedroom was a little on the small size, the bed was big enough and was perfect for me and my partner to settle into after a long day of driving. The holiday home had a lovely bathroom (with heating flooring) and a fully functioning kitchen providing a microwave which was very handy. We were due to receive a confirmation email 24 hours prior to arriving at the hotel with our own individual code to access our key to our cabin. However, I did not receive this code which meant I had to ring the contact number. Nevertheless, once the phone call was completed everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend staying here as it was one of my most favourite locations during our travels around Iceland.

This was such a cute shed turned into a hotel room. Lots of space, bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice and big. It said that the property didn’t have reception but we had full coverage. Highly recommended

Beware!! Like other reviewers, we never received the email with check-in instructions and address, despite calling and emailing the property over 20 times. We were unable to check in and Expedia had to find us another hotel last minute. Wasted hours and hours of our trip trying to reach this property and almost ended up with nowhere to stay-would avoid at all costs. They never got back to us. The pictures look great but like others noted, this was a horrible experience for us.

No answer or email reply when trying to check in. Be prepared with a backup plan. After waiting for 3 hours, we had to find another hotel and drive back around 45 km. Look at the reviews. We should’ve listened to the other reviews.

We did not get a PIN number to enter the homenso we had to book another place. We tried to call the lady who did not answer the calls for 3 hours (called at least 50 times both numbers). THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK

The surroundings are Amazing and the place es ok to stay one night. But they have a terrible checkin system where you have to call them to get the code. They don’t have checkin after 9 pm so we had to cut our trip to run there and make it on time. We are foreigners, we can’t do calls , they should send the code through email as every other place ! We tried sending emails days before our checkin with no answer and we ultimately asked someone from our country to make the call because we couldn’t

The hotel didn’t give us room number nor key entry info until very late. I had to call many times to finally have a person answering the phone. This caused our anxiety while we are touring Golden Circle .

The hotel didn’t give us room number nor key entry info until very late. I had to call many times to finally have a person answering the phone. This caused our anxiety while we are touring Golden Circle .

The cabins are good, but check in is hopeless. No one picking up the phone during check-in hours is beyond frustrating. Other guests gave up, we called them for almost two hours before anybody answered.

I couldn't stay here because they didn't send me an access code before the arbitrary 9pm check in deadline so I had to book elsewhere. I want a refund.

Unzureichende Sauberkeit und Erreichbarkeit des Anbieters. Für den Self-Check-In bedarf es eines Codes, welcher bei dem Anbieter der Häuschen telefonisch erfragt werden muss. Wir haben bereits eine halbe Stunde vor Ankunft angerufen, doch auch nach über 10(!) Anrufen, erhielten wir noch immer keinen Code, da die Anrufe nicht angenommen wurden. Nach einer weiteren Mail sowie einer WhatsApp-Nachricht erhielten wir dann nach ca. 1 Stunde unseren Code. Die Häuschen sind von der Idee ganz nett und für 1-2 Nächte eine coole Anternative, leider war unser Bett (in Haus Nr. 404) voller Bettwanzen (ich würde Bilder anhängen, wenn ich könnte). Das hat uns den Aufenthalt sehr versaut! Die Häuser an sich sind super hellhörig, weshalb man Nachts jedes Geräusch von Draußen hört.

Pas loin de differents points d interet au sud de l Islande, facile a trouver car a proximite de la route 1 mais on n entend pas les voitures. Apporter de quoi se nourrir je n ai pas vu de restau ni supermarche a proximite . Conforme au descriptif 1 lit double et 1 convertible . Tout fonctionne bien dans la cuisinnette . On a meme assiste a une superbe aurore boreale visible depuis la grande baie vitree du sejour. Bien sur c est mieux dehors avec les montagnes autour cela donne de bons 1ers plans pour les photos.

Highly recommended….It has all kitchen amenities. Also, it has Bathroom Shower, toilet, and Wi-Fi. Welcome Holiday Homes location is near Skogafoss waterfalls and 45minutes to Dyrhólaey beach, Reynisfjara beach, Vik Red church and Yoda’s Cave.

Cozy stay! Great location. I went just outside our door in the middle of the night and saw more stars than I’ve seen in my entire life. I also saw the Milky Way! Quick check-in with responsive owner.

This place is PERFECT for a little escape. We got to see the northern lights and is close to Skogafoss. Truly a great spot. The beds were very comfortable.

Absolutely loved my stay here - the holiday home are based in such a picturesque location with the dramatic mountains surrounding you. Although the bedroom was a little on the small size, the bed was big enough and was perfect for me and my partner to settle into after a long day of driving. The holiday home had a lovely bathroom (with heating flooring) and a fully functioning kitchen providing a microwave which was very handy. We were due to receive a confirmation email 24 hours prior to arriving at the hotel with our own individual code to access our key to our cabin. However, I did not receive this code which meant I had to ring the contact number. Nevertheless, once the phone call was completed everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend staying here as it was one of my most favourite locations during our travels around Iceland.

A great little place and beautiful location. The bed takes up most of the space in the bedroom, so kind of hard to get around. Bathroom towels were rough and water pressure was poor. Suitcases have to go on the lounge floor. BUT a beautiful view and we very much enjoyed staying here.

Several days before our scheduled arrival, we made multiple attempts to contact the property to obtain essential information about our arrival and the check-in procedure. We called the hotel several times and also sent SMS and WhatsApp messages using the contact number displayed on a photo we found on Google Maps. Unfortunately, we never received any response. In addition, we never received any check-in instructions or information on how to obtain the key through the Hotels.com app, by email, or through any other communication channel. At no point were we provided with the access code or any guidance on how to enter the property.

Boendet ligger bra till med fin utsikt. Flera saker som stör, tveksam städning och orena glas, alla dörrar behöver lagas, inget varmt vatten dag nr.2 samt att det fanns inget toalettpapper. Alla möbler mm är det billigaste man kan hitta, inte fint, bara funktionellt

The location is gorgeous & the unit works fine. The bedroom is tiny with not much space to walk around the bed. When we arrived the unit was incredibly hot because all the shades were left open and it is difficult to ventilate. It took a couple of hours with the door propped open to cool it down. It would be very helpful to keep the shades closed on the large window before people arrive. The wifi also didn't work when we arrived. We were lucky to have enough service to be able to message the "desk" and get it working. All in all, it served us fine for a couple of nights.
