An excellent property in a great location. Some very minor points were that the toaster & kettle could be doing with a thorough clean but that was in contrast to everything else that were great. It would have been good if the outside pathway lights were on a timer to put them off between midnight & 6 am. These points don't detract from a 5 star review.

Lovely cabin in a quiet and beautiful meadow. We had everything we needed. The property owners designed the small cabin with all the necessary for travelers needs. Small kitchenette to make some simple meals. Outdoor grill, table and chairs for two. A small sofa to rest, comfortable bed and beautiful floor to ceiling window to look out the meadow when the sheep’s come to visit. Great communication, easy directions and easy check in. We loved our stay! Thanks!

So wie die Bilder das kleine Häuschen zeigen ist es auch. Mitten in der Natur. Das einzige Manko ist die Einfeldkochplatte mit einem Topf und zwei Pfannen. Dafür gibt es draußen einen Weber Gasgrill.

Şehrin kalabalığından kaçmak için harika bir yer. Sessiz ve sakin bir ortamda yer alan kulübe oldukça temizdi. Yatak çok rahattı, çarşaflar ve battaniyeler tertemiz ve güzel kokuyordu. Mutfak küçük ama kahvaltı hazırlamak için yeterli. Akşam yemeği için kulübenin hemen yanında bir barbekü alanı var, biz kullandık ve çok keyifli oldu. Kulübenin kendine ait otoparkı bulunuyor. Ayrıca elektrikli aracınız varsa şarj edebileceğiniz bir ünite de mevcut. Yalıtımı oldukça iyi. Kışın konaklamamıza rağmen hiç üşümedik. 5 numaralı kulübede iyileştirilmesi gereken iki küçük nokta var: duş başlığı ve dış kapının kapanmasının biraz zor olması ve ses yapması. Tesiste, yan yana ancak mahremiyet korunacak şekilde konumlandırılmış toplam 8 adet kulübe bulunuyor.

These were so well designed. Small but well layed out. Queen bed was comfy as was the mini sofa. Loved that the TV swivels so you could watch it from the bed, dining table, or sofa. Also it was a smart TV and watching netflix after being rained on all day was nice. So was the towel warmer in the bathroom that dried my cloths by the next morning. Kitchen had a mid size fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and something like a mini stove top/hot plate. Also an outdoor grill and directions on using it. I loved that there were huge floor to ceiling windows and a porch with a table on it and the cabins are designed so that from inside and on the porch its like you are totally isolated. Just you, your partner, and a beautiful view of iceland. The location is a little remote (get groceries first) but was a perfect base for doing Gulfoss, Geyser, and Pingvellir. Check in was easy (they email you the lock box code) and we had zero issues our whole stay.

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in dieser Unterkunft. Die Größe ist für ein Paar absolut ausreichend, das Bett sehr bequem, die Fernsehen Aufhängung sehr gut durchdacht und auch die kleine Küchenzeile sehr hilfreich, um kleinere Gerichte selber zu zubereiten. Alles sehr sauber, warm und auch die Lage gefällt uns sehr, da abseits gelegen, aber alles sehr schnell zu erreichen. Fantastic property if you want some seclusion. Very clean with more than adequate accommodations in the property such as extras in the kitchen. We were there for two nights and easily could have stayed longer.

Fantastic location overlooking a lake, 30 mins from Thingvelir park. Warm, clean, well stocked with all utinsils needed to cook. Sheep on the nearby farm. Very cute and quiet!

Our cabin was better than we could hope for. Very clean, like new, comfortable bed, hot, powerful shower, towel warmer is a nice touch. Coffee pods included is much appreciated. Landscape and view is wonderful. Enjoyed sheep around cabins and water and mountain view. We would highly recommend this for couples who need a homebase to check out the sites in the south and south east of Iceland. Much to see within 30-90 minutes drive

The setting for this well-designed, comfortable, and efficient property is spectacular. Giant windows on two sides offer views of surrounding pastures, the lake, and mountains. The tiny home has everything you need and all is well designed for comfort. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the cottages. The sheep just outside our door were very cool. The cottage was small but made good use of the space and was very comfortable. Blackout blinds on every window made it easy to sleep despite the 24-hr daylight. The only (minor) concern I had was the bedding... The pillowcases and quilt cover had a rough textured decorative pattern which was a bit uncomfortable. I had to remove the pillowcase. Still, 2 thumbs up and highly recommended.

This was one of 3 cottages we stayed at during our visit to Iceland and this was by far our favorite! Very big compared to most others. The place was cute and comfortable with great black out curtains. The bed was very comfortable and the only whole style bed (instead of two twins pushed together) we found in all of our Iceland accommodations. The only comment for improvement was that I personally found the blanket and pillow covering had a pretty look, but an odd texture that made me feel a bit itchy when sleeping. But we still enjoyed the cottage and the atmosphere of the surrounding farm.

Had the most amazing stay here. Beautifully appointed cottages with panoramic views surrounding. The cottages are amazing inside, warm, cozy and the most incredible bed. Shower is rainfall, bathroom was well equipt and the communication throughout was amazing! Willl recommend for sure - plus we saw the northern lights which is why we picked this location (along with accessibility to things nearby)

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in dieser Unterkunft. Die Größe ist für ein Paar absolut ausreichend, das Bett sehr bequem, die Fernsehen Aufhängung sehr gut durchdacht und auch die kleine Küchenzeile sehr hilfreich, um kleinere Gerichte selber zu zubereiten. Alles sehr sauber, warm und auch die Lage gefällt uns sehr, da abseits gelegen, aber alles sehr schnell zu erreichen. Sehr einfacher Check in und Checkout, kurz drum, rund um eine klare Empfehlung von uns

Lovely cabin in a quiet and beautiful meadow. We had everything we needed. The property owners designed the small cabin with all the necessary for travelers needs. Small kitchenette to make some simple meals. Outdoor grill, table and chairs for two. A small sofa to rest, comfortable bed and beautiful floor to ceiling window to look out the meadow when the sheep’s come to visit. Great communication, easy directions and easy check in. We loved our stay! Thanks!

We loved this location! We stayed here our first two nights in Iceland. Best decision ever. Easy to find, centrally located to what we wanted to do, and a very inviting home. We met the owner as he was working on the property and you can tell he attends to his property. I would stay here again and my friends are visiting next month and they booked here too. It was great to share with them how nice this place was and how happy we were. And, we could watch sheep come and go.

This is the definition of a cozy cabin. I absolutely loved my stay here! The host was amazing to work with and replied quickly to all emails I sent her. This is one of my favourite places I've ever stayed at! Highly recommend. The location, the vibes, and the view are all 10/10!

These were so well designed. Small but well layed out. Queen bed was comfy as was the mini sofa. Loved that the TV swivels so you could watch it from the bed, dining table, or sofa. Also it was a smart TV and watching netflix after being rained on all day was nice. So was the towel warmer in the bathroom that dried my cloths by the next morning. Kitchen had a mid size fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and something like a mini stove top/hot plate. Also an outdoor grill and directions on using it. I loved that there were huge floor to ceiling windows and a porch with a table on it and the cabins are designed so that from inside and on the porch its like you are totally isolated. Just you, your partner, and a beautiful view of iceland. The location is a little remote (get groceries first) but was a perfect base for doing Gulfoss, Geyser, and Pingvellir. Check in was easy (they email you the lock box code) and we had zero issues our whole stay.

Had the most amazing stay here. Beautifully appointed cottages with panoramic views surrounding. The cottages are amazing inside, warm, cozy and the most incredible bed. Shower is rainfall, bathroom was well equipt and the communication throughout was amazing! Willl recommend for sure - plus we saw the northern lights which is why we picked this location (along with accessibility to things nearby)

Loved our cottage. Beautiful view out windows to lush green pasture and mountains in the distance. Had everything we needed and was a perfect home-base for our tour of the Golden Circle.

The setting for this well-designed, comfortable, and efficient property is spectacular. Giant windows on two sides offer views of surrounding pastures, the lake, and mountains. The tiny home has everything you need and all is well designed for comfort. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location overlooking a lake, 30 mins from Thingvelir park. Warm, clean, well stocked with all utinsils needed to cook. Sheep on the nearby farm. Very cute and quiet!

The cabin is well laid out and very functional. Out front is a fenced field with the occasional sheep walking by as it grazes. Great atmosphere. Well located for sightseeing.

A perfect location for the golden circle and stunning views. The cottage is warm and cozy with everything you could possibly need. We were able to cook a variety of meals, stopping at a supermarket en route. A very comfortable bed and good shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and had the added bonus of being treated to the aurora.

The cottage is dreamy! Overlooking the lake, the sunrises and sunsets are GORGEOUS. It’s situated close to many of the golden circle attractions but feels very remote and intimate. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in south east Iceland.

One of the most beautiful and serene settings I’ve ever stayed in, with great views of Icelandic volcanoes from every window.The kitchenette includes a plugin induction burner, so between that and the gas grill, you can cook up a tasty meal. The host is very responsive. Great location in easy striking distance of all the Golden Circle spots — we’d go out to one early in the morning, come back for lunch and a nap, and then go out again late afternoon (to avoid the crowds). Highly recommended.

Bien que, pour des Français, le prix paraisse élevé, il faut accepter l'idée que l'Islande est devenue très chère. En tout cas, nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos deux nuits à Austurey Cottage. Le logement est fonctionnel et tout est pensé pour que nous ne manquions de rien et que nous ayons le plus de confort possible : condiments, moustiquaires, plaid, enceinte... L'hôte est très réactif et le calme et la vue permettent de se déconnecter. Un vrai petit cocon ! Nous y reviendrons sans hésiter si nous devions revenir dans la région 🙂.
