The area around the hotel is located near attractions and it was easy to use the hop on hop off bus. The air conditioning was less than adequate. They advertised a bar on the roof top which was not opened.

Lovely hotel, GREAT staff and location. Room was clean and comfortable with the A/C running strong upon arrival. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and delicious, served on the 6th floor terrace with a million-dollar view of the Acropolis -- absolutely stunning. Staff were there to make you whatever special coffee drink you desired, all served in a warm and welcoming manner. Front desk staff were very helpful to arrange transportation. Friendly, beautiful people and a great value, too. Steps from the Acropolis Museum and great sidewalk cafes! A wonderful stay and I will return! DEFINITELY recommend.

This hotel has nice updated rooms and is located very close to the acropolis south entrance and 50’ from the subway steps to the Acropolis stop on the Metro. The rooms are nice and well furnished. They have a small antique elevator and do we opted to use stairs. Our room was on floor 1 (one up from lobby) and there are 5 floors. Breakfast is on the roof top deck (6th floor) so you get a start on your daily steps to get coffee. Might not be a great choice for someone who has trouble climbing stairs - but most of Athens would fit that statement. We could not have hoped for a better location. Just walked out the door and next foot got coffee and pastries, or Gyros for lunch. Ice cream on the corner.

Rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds and excellent shower facilities. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great view of the Acropolis from the rooftop where breakfast is served. There is also a fully stocked bar up there however, it is no longer utilized which was such a shame as drinks in the evening with the Acropolis view would have been a great addition to this experience.

Receptionist bent over backwards to accommodate any requests, she was absolutely lovely! Location was unbeatable- the Acropolis metro stop is steps from the hotel, which was super convenient! You can walk everywhere from this hotel, tons of dining options & near all the major sights. Breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the Acropolis was a great start to our days in Athens, and they allow guests to use the rooftop at night as well, if ever you want to bring a nightcap up there & enjoy the views (which we most definitely did!)

Really enjoyed the professional and kind staff, the rooftop terrace for breakfast and incredible view of the Acropolis. Rooms were spacious for European standards. My only suggestions would to eliminate the fragrances they use in the lobby air conditioning. It was too overpowering. And the grout in the bathroom shower had mould.

Nice hotel in fantastic location - very close to metro. The mother daughter duo work the day shift were fantastic. Unfortunately we had multiple incidents of cockroaches in our room and the one guy on the evening shift (wears glasses) informed me it was not his problem!

The accommodations were A1. The room was modern, spotless and well supplied/furnished. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and steps from rhe main hub. The family owners were quick to respond to our queries and engage in conversation. We would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay here next uear when we return to beautiful Athens

The hotel is really well located in plaka just next to the acropolis entrance. The hotel was really clean and beautiful, though our standard room was a bit small. The breakfast on the terrace with an incredible view on the acropolis was our highlight. I highly recommend.

This hotel was perfect in every way! It was super convenient to get from the airport via Metro, it's only a few steps from the Acropolis stop. The location is very close to the museum and the Acropolis, and a huge selection of restaurants. Everything is walkable from the hotel, in fact I'm glad we didn't stay in the heart of the Plaka which was my original intent. This was way better for us, as it was a little more quite but close enough to all the sights, sounds, shopping, and restaurants of the Plaka. The breakfast options were fantastic, you could tell the staff paid a lot of attention to freshness, the coffee was prepared just to our liking, and they took pride in the presentation. The chairs/tables were always clean, and that view ... amazing way to start our day each morning As for the room, it was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, the pillows were great, the AC was not too loud and kept our room at just the right temperature. The bathroom was beautiful, and the water pressure was awesome. The only negative feedback I have, and it's a minor one, is that the room needs hooks for wet towels and/or clothes, and a few shelves in the closet would have been welcome. All in all, I could not recommend this hotel higher!!!

Great location near shoppes, restaurants and major tourist attractions. A/C did not cool enough during hot summer time but was bearable. Front desk nighttime staff had was not very helpful, almost like being forced to be there. Overall good average stay but prefer property with more amenities.

Location is unbeatable. Just steps from the Acropolis and even closer to the subway (Metro) station. The view of the Parthenon from the rooftop breakfast area is awesome. Breakfast was included and it covered the basics. The only reason I would not go back is that the A/C was not cooling.

This is a cute hotel right by the Acropolis. The rooms are very tiny so it’s more suitable for one person. We only stayed one night so it was ok but it would be a bit uncomfortable to stay for longer. The location is fantastic as you are right next to the Acropolis. Hôtel très bien placé au pied du Parthenon. Juste en face du musé. Nous avions la suite vue sur l’acropole avec une grande terrasse. Le personnel est très gentil et très accueillant. Le hic c’est que la suite se situe juste en dessous du petit restaurant où l’on sert le petit déjeuner. Et là il y a un vrai problème d’isolation. Dès 7h00 du matin le bruit des chaises sur le sol vous réveil. Donc difficile la grâce matinée… on entend même le percolateur à café. Concernant la chambre en elle même. Pas de souci. Mais on voit petit à petit qu’elle se dégrade. Plinthe manquante, peinture écaillée autour de la ventilation. Dede te d’eau ajoutée, mais pas coffrée. Hôtel très bien placé au pied du Parthenon. Juste en face du musé. Nous avions la suite vue sur l’acropole avec une grande terrasse. Le personnel est très gentil et très accueillant. Le hic c’est que la suite se situe juste en dessous du petit restaurant où l’on sert le petit déjeuner. Et là il y a un vrai problème d’isolation. Dès 7h00 du matin le bruit des chaises sur le sol vous réveil. Donc difficile la grâce matinée… on entend même le percolateur à café. Concernant la chambre en elle même. Pas de souci. Mais on voit petit à petit qu’elle se dégrade. Plinthe manquante, peinture écaillée autour de la ventilation. Dede te d’eau ajoutée, mais pas coffrée. The AD hotel has 3 amazing things going for it: #1 The staff. The hotel concierge, the cleaning staff, the breakfast staff were all amazing. I have traveled to 16 countries this year alone and stayed at dozens of hotels, and the staff at the AD hotel stand out in my mind as some of the very best. The concierge was very helpful, informative and friendly to myself and other guests. The breakfast staff were very attentive and courteous each morning. #2 The location. The hotel is just around the corner from the acropolis and practically next to the subway. You just can’t get a better location for visiting this part of the city. #3 The breakfast. If you’re looking for a perfect location for visiting the Acropolis this was it. Metro at your doorstep to visit Athens. Restaurants galore. Awesome breakfast on rooftop with great view. First floor reception area with great sitting area, and of course excellent staff on hand 24/7 for your needs.

Room was spotless,, accommodating, well appointed, and the staff were phenomenal. We were greeted by the owner. She and her daughter were so welcoming and friendly! Breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast was abundant, service with a smile, and the view of the Acropolis (very close proximity) left us in awe. I didn't like that when we arrived, the staff didn't even notice us standing there waiting to be served. At other hotels, they immediately see you arrive and say, "Welcome! How can we help you?" Here, they didn't even look at us. We had to ask if they could serve us, but they were there to do nothing.

Nothing but good words to say about my trip. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Right outside the Acropoli metro station. Less than a few minutes walk to the south slope entrance of the Acropolis, and within easy walking distance to most of the relevant sites in central Athens. On the service front. I had a room booked and was extremely early getting to the hotel, around 9 AM. I asked if it was OK to leave my luggage so I could get a head out but was actually given my room early which helped tremendously. On check out was when things went above and beyond. I asked if it was possible to checkout slightly later than normal, due to my late flight, to which they agreed. However on the day it turned out that there were unannounced strikes on the metro. As the receptionist knew I was leaving that day she checked to see how I was leaving and I was indeed meant to use the metro. The receptionist then went to the Acropoli station on my behalf to find out exactly what was going on and which stations would be affected. It turned out that all the central stations were going to be closed and had I not been informed I would have been in quite the bind. Instead, they were able to order me a taxi and was able to easily get to the airport. My only regret is not finding out the receptionists name so I could personally give her a shout out. If I was in Athens again, I would absolutely be looking at staying here again.

Nice hotel. A/C did not work very well in room 113. The owner moved us to a different room and the a/c worked great. Great location for everything. The owner has hands on management and that why the hotel is great. Rooms were spotless.

Hotel AD is continently located next to the acropolis. Very easy to get to from the airport. Take the train from the airport to Syntagma station, transfer to the red line (heading towards Ellinko) get out at the first stop (Akropolis) exit to the right, go up the stairs, keep going straight out of the subway and the hotel is 20 meters on your right. Very easy. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast has a very large selection of options. The breakfast terrace has a view of the acropolis. We booked a Viator walking tour of the acropolis and the meeting place to begin the tour was 10 meters from the hotel. This place is in a good neighborhood with plenty of restaurant options.

We had a lovely stay at the AD Athens The location is perfect, right next to the metro station if you wanted to use but the furthest we walk was 20mins to the central market & 30 mins Lykavittos Hill through the lovely gardens, everywhere else was so close or in a handy loop around Athens. There are lots of good places to eat & drink nearby too. The team at the hotel are so helpful, nothing is too much for them. Breakfast with the best view of the Acropolis and a really good selection of Greek food that satisfied us well until lunch. The breakfast team were also lovely and remember our coffee orders and filled our water waters ready for the day ahead. A note on our room on the 2nd floor, absolutely no noise from outside. Thank you all

The Athens AD Hotel was exactly as wonderful as advertised! We had the suite with a night time view of the Acropolis from our private veranda. What a lovely accommodation! The staff were so helpful and pleasant and the breakfast that was included was incredibly delicious and had an amazing variety of tastes! Thank you! I hope to come back one day!!

There are many good things about this place. The rooms were a nice size with good cupboard space and spotless. You couldn’t ask for a better location. Service was superb. Family friendly lobby. However they only had a small older television on the wall, most newer hotels have smart TVs where you can watch Netflix, YouTube, and even sign in to watch your own feeds. Breakfast was ample, typical Greek style but be aware there is no hot food as they do not have a microwave or toaster. The bathroom was quit large and modern with a great shower but lacked adequate shelving for towels and toiletries Nonetheless I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

The breakfast buffet was bountiful and delicious, served on the 6th floor terrace with a million-dollar view of the Acropolis -- absolutely stunning. Staff were there to make you whatever special coffee drink you desired, all served in a warm and welcoming manner. Front desk staff were very helpful to arrange transportation. We have stayed at this excellent property several times and it's our preferred hotel when visiting Athens. The location is amazing - steps away from The Acropolis metro station and around the corner from the Acropolis museum and the historical centre, restaurants. The staff are so welcoming, helpful and show they genuinely value their guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the view from the open rooftop patio every morning, while enjoying your delicious breakfast is a sight that you can't get enough of, no matter how often you see it - looking right out to the amazing Acropolis! The hotel was well maintained. Pick room on 3rd or 4th floor for view of Piazzale Roma when having canal room view. The room we had 303 was large and bathroom was very large. The tub was extremely deep 2-3 feet. No rubber Matt to prevent slipping. So need to be careful . Otherwise was extremely roomy . Towels were thin, Suggest bringing own wash cloths Make sure to bring extra universal electric plug devices. We found that not every plug handle the customer units . We were lucky that we brought extra Room was very quiet and had an extra side bed if needed. TV only handled local language. Tried to over ride to another and couldn’t. Used IPADS a lot Elevator could handle 1 person and 2 large suitcases. So we needed to do 2 trips. Breakfast in morning had lots of rolls, fruit and cereal. Great coffee. Attendant was very helpful and addressed your needs. No warm foods We used the People mover to take us to Piazzale Roma and pick up a Porter. You need this to go over the bridges. Should be aware fines can happen when letting the wheels clink on the bridge steps. Cost was 30 euros for 4 cases and carry on. Porter back was early in morning 7am and costs was 50 euros. Carry cash We used taxis back to airport cost 49 euros. Well worth the price. Front desk personnel were available to ask questions and help with activities. Would use again

Attendant was very helpful and addressed your needs. No warm foods We used the People mover to take us to Piazzale Roma and pick up a Porter. You need this to go over the bridges. Should be aware fines can happen when letting the wheels clink on the bridge steps. Cost was 30 euros for 4 cases and carry on. Porter back was early in morning 7am and costs was 50 euros. Carry cash We used taxis back to airport cost 49 euros. Well worth the price. Front desk personnel were available to ask questions and help with activities. Would use again
