I don't usually stay in the Whitechapel area but I thought I'd give it a try. I love the modern feel and yet staying true to the roots of the former textile factory. Great staff and service. Love the Yoga rooftop facility - plus each floor has coffee machines. I'll definitely stay again.

Trendy hotel with a very laid back vibe and lovely staff. I usually opt for apartments when I’m in London because of how bad even the 4 and 5 star hotels can be, especially when you are travelling solo but I will definitely stay here again. The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant, my complimentary upgrade to one of the terrace rooms was a pleasant surprise, the option to store my luggage before check in and after check out was great (I’m always surprised at just how many hotels won’t do this now) the check in procedure was easy, the room was comfortable, spotless and had a fantastic shower and the USP of the hotel is Whitechapel underground - easy access to most of London and really handy for city airport.

The hotel staff was very friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in. Great balcony and comfortable bed. We enjoyed having access to game room, library, and snack room. Also, an easy walk from the Whitechapel station.

Great room 406, terrace with a street view. Comfortable bed and pillows. Toiletries were luxurious. Loved the yoga area and free drinks machine, the tea exceeded our expectations. Wet room; different style mats needed to prevent slipping required.

We loved the hotels look and atmosphere, free hot drinks ind the hallway between rooms and teresse on the roof. We didnt love, that they forgot to give us toilet paper one day, and towels the next day, so we had to go and ask for it at the front desk early in the morning.

It's a good experience overall. The staff are excellent, the location is great, the rooms are well designed and the integral shower and facilities are very modern and efficient. On the downside the bedrooms are two warm and there are no tea/coffee making facilities altho there are free coffee and tea machines on each floor. The in house restaurant is ok altho I find the menu too limited and most options very expensive as are the drinks at the bar. The room cost are very variable and most weeks it is too costly for me to stay on my limited budget so I opt for a Travelodge instead. Overall tho well deserving of 4+ stars.

We had a great time at New Road Hotel. They allowed us to upgrade to a larger (top floor), it was a bit pricey but at this point in our travels we really enjoyed the large jacuzzi tub. The restaurant was very nice, well staffed, and efficient.

Very nice stay! The room was clean and everything inside of it was modern and up to date. I loved how each floor had something different…the game room, the ironing room and the gym as well. I loved this hotel and would surely stay again!

Staff were lovely and really helpful. Hotel itself is in a less than desirable area and as a solo female I didn’t really feel safe. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and the handles on the showers both came off in my hand and they were filthy. The worst part though was that the rooms aren’t soundproofed so it’s SO noisy from both above and both sides. Wouldn’t recommend it you want to get a good night’s sleep.

Amazing hotel, all the staff are so friendly and helpful. They go out of the way to make sure their guests are well taken care of. Myself and partner have fell in love with the place and have become regular visitors. Rooms are immaculate our favourite room is the jacuzzi spa bath.

Overall a good stay. Felt the bar area could have been cleaner - quite a few staff were on but all tables had empty glasses and I didn’t feel staff were that friendly. Breakfast was nice. Room as expected and bed very comfy. Hotel close to tube station and fairly central. Reception staff helpful.

Check in staff were fab, very friendly and helpful, the room was clean but quite small and we weren’t keen on the glass door combined shower and loo. We could see each other whilst using the loo and showering, and the entire floor was soaking wet after taking a shower so it was difficult to get ready and use the loo afterwards.

The New Road room was a small room, but met the needs of us during our trip. There were a couple of issues that I felt were off, the placement of the AC/Heating unit was so that it blows on the bed but only from the waist down and mainly on one side of the bed. So with the AC on one person gets cold, while the other is still unaffected by the temp (I assume the same is so with the heat). The other issue we had was the bathroom, the bathroom wall/door is under a meter from the bed. Which is all glass (although 90% of it is frosted), but this makes it strange when someone is using the toilet while the other is in the room. You can fully hear and almost see the entire bathroom while laying on the bed, so you'll be sharing those poops, at least auditorily. Also the room has very poor lighting for doing any kind of makeup, the lighting casts shadows on the face making it a pain to apply anything. They could use a good lighting in the bathroom for this, as well as to close off the bathroom. Other than this the room was fine. The place has restaurant and bar on site for extra (including breakfast), and is surrounded by very tasty curry places. There are 2-3 tube stations within a couple blocks, and it's easy to walk to downtown London within 20mins.

Everyone working here was extremely friendly and accommodating - we had a very comfortable stay and have nothing but good things to say about the staff and environment. The only pain point for us throughout the trip was the bathroom to our room. Had I known the layout from the pictures, I don’t know if I would have booked this room. The glass door, even with the blur, offered very little privacy. Also even though the shower poured straight down, the dip in the floor was not nearly steep enough to stop water from getting all over the place. Other than maneuvering the bathrooms, we had a pleasant stay.

Rooms are small and do not have anywhere to really store tour clothes. All there had was 5 hangers and no drawers. The bathroom also had nowhere to put shampoo and orher shower necessities. However, the staff were fabulous, the AC worked great andnauper convenient to multiple underground lines

There was no where to unpack my beginnings, and only 3 hangers in the room. I had to literally live out of ny suitcase for 4 days. And just no room anenities to do anything. I understand how they are trying to sace space and money BUT having one iron and ironing board for the entire hotel to use is a bit rediculous. No tea kettle in the room!!!! Its London for crying out loud. Coffee and tea station on each floor with only instant cofee.

I stayed at this property for 3 nights and it certainly wasn’t the cheapest option available. The location was good for what I needed however we had a room that faces onto the road which meant that at times it was very noisy. Upon arrival we noticed that the Ac/heating unit wasn’t working and that it was flashing which at the time wasn’t a big issue. When we closed the blind (which I thought was a very good addition) the flashing light was very bright and lit up the room. We made the hotel aware via their WhatsApp service the following morning and someone came out to look at it whilst we were out for the day. Upon our return the flashing light was covered up by a piece of masking tape however this did not solve the issue and the flashing light was still very obvious within the room when it was dark. I was disappointed to learn that for around £150 a night we didn’t have tea & coffee making facilities within our room (despite there being room) The hotels solution was to have a room which had a tea and coffee machine within. In the room there were various chairs & AC units which looked like they had been dumped there. My main disappointment was the bathroom, which initially looked very nice however the reality was different. The bathroom is designed to be a wet room style however in my opinion the floor had not been designed properly meaning that if you had a shower the water would go across the entire bathroom floor making it virtually impossible to use the loo afterwards.

The New Road is a great little hotel in a good location, about a 5 minute walk from Whitechapel tube station, which connects to the Elizabeth Line. The area itself is a rich multicultural part of the city with many different types of restaurants, including Ethiopian, Persian and Bangladeshi. It's also only a short walk (20 mins) to Spitalfields market and Brick Lane, where you can get an evening wider range of food. The room I stayed in, a Warehouse K, was small, but clean and very comfy. The air con was great and the windows opened too. The room facing the back was quiet and we slept well. Check in proces very quick and pleasant. The man at the reception desk was very polite. In the evening we went for a drink at the bar. The bar tender girl was a picture of an absolute misery! Vompletely disconnected and not pleasant at all. Made us feel like uneasy so we decided to actually go after the first one. Overall it is not my fist time at New Road hotel. Cleaningness of the room is satisfactory however it definitely needs a bit more thorough clean. The leather upholstery definitely needs a deepir clean especially where it started sagging and you can see the dirt there. Also, please check the floor in warehouse x as it is most certailnly flooded. It is soft by the shower and when you step on it the water comes through slightly. Overall it's not a bad place and very convenient but needs a bit of work done.

Wow what a beautiful boutique hotel. The bed was huge and very comfortable, had a great night sleep, the room had air conditioning so the temperature was always nice. Great wet room shower including all top quality body and shampoo/conditioner. The food, we had breakfast and dinner was spectacular, cooked perfectly. All the staff were excellent, professional, very friendly and helpful. The hotel including rooms and all areas is beautiful, all work, design and style are of a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying there. Thank you to all for making our stay so very enjoyable. Look forward to coming back. Access around London is very easy the hotel is about 5 min walk from Whitechapel station, there is a huge market outside the station.

Big no. 1st night was like sleeping on a highway. Extremely loud. I asked to change my room & the desk clerk said "You should've asked for a quiet room." Do people ever request LOUD rooms? Next morning, I was able to change rooms and it’s much better, highway-wise, but problems still. It’s right by the hall door leading to the ”games room,” where people played loudly until 12. Were they banging the balls on the wall or what? The arcade game is placed right by my head, on the other side of the wall. Uh, genius. I hear the door slam and a dog barking inside until the wee hours. Dogs aren’t allowed… The key cards have desensitized on me 7 times. I have to go to the desk repeatedly. I was dressed and about to go out when a maintenance man came in my room. No knock, just came in. When I told the desk about it, the woman I told had a look of utter shock on her face. When I told the male manager, he kept looking for excuses like, “well, he didn’t know anyone was in there.” THAT’S WHY PEOPLE KNOCK ON DOORS! He was condescending and rude about it. I know the maintenance guy was not trying to hurt me or anything, but going in a room without knocking is an absolute ridiculous hotel rule to break, reinforcing my thesis that they’re not being trained properly at all. There is so much more, but I don't have room, but a condescending restaurant manager who rolled his eyes at me twice - once when his server gave me ice cream instead of sorbet (allergic to ice cream

The building is unique. It is a former garment factory converted into a hotel. Wonderfully done. The neighborhood is lively, and very near Brick Lane. The rooms are great. The staff is out of this world. So friendly, professional, helpful and fun. Just great! We had a wonderful time and hope to come back!

We are so glad we stayed at the New Road Hotel in Whitechapel. The hotel was conveniently located between two subway stations. Our terrace room was comfortable and clean. The area around the hotel is so interesting and we are glad we got to explore it.

The hotel was lovely, we loved the quirky warehouse style! The food was really good and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice room, but not sound proof so bring ear plugs if noise from the busy street bothers you.

Good hotel, clean, attentive staff with good facilities. Bed was hard, I never slept but my wife did so down to personal preference. Bar prices I found extortionate £43 for a double G&T and a double vodka coke, no price list and not told cost of drinks when paying bill, just asked for card. Breakfast = not keen on turkey rashers instead of Bakon.

Newly appointed so caught it at their best. The breakfast was expensive @£19.95. It was delicious but thought it more worthy of a £15 price tag. The continental buffet was only pastries and toast, no sign of meats and cheeses - necessary protein content.

Our second stay here , a great alternative location to being in central London , great amenities, unlimited hot drinks , work space amenities.. great transport links to sightseeing . Only recommendation is to maybe install a water vending machine where the hot drinks machines are especially as the weather has been really warm this year and even though we brought water from outside we kept drinking lots of water .

Great hotel for connections into the city, 3 mins from Whitechapel tube and lots of buses. Quite a noisy area with the hospital and sirens, so roadside rooms were perhaps a bit more noisy though we had double glazing and air con/heating. Nearby to some good cheap friendy Indian cafes where local people eat. A great cocktail bar above the Hyatt hotel - the skyline bar - 10 mins walk away - fab views across london. Great room with huge comfy bed and good bathroom. Smallish rooms but fine for a place to kip. The roof garden has suffered a bit in the heat which is a shame, but at least theres a small outdoor space. Nice library area with books and free hot drinks machine.

The room itself was pretty basic (no side tables near bed, no mini fridge etc) The mattress had a tendency to slide away from the headboard without much movement. The room was very clean and it was nice to have access to a hot tub. Wouldn't personally describe it as a boutique hotel and wouldn't say it was well worth the money but no major complaints
