Lasswade Road House

The property was unfortunately not as advertised and the photos felt very misleading. While the bedding, kitchen and bathroom were clean, overall the place felt quite tired and in need of an upgrade. The walls, carpets and couches all needed a proper clean and there were no base covers on the bed. Which are usually a norm in most homes, so expected in a letting. There were also several maintenance issues including a broken stair rail and a shower that only worked as a handheld attachment. Outside, the ashtray was overflowing, the garden was overgrown so we couldn’t use the outdoor space, and the front hedge looked very untidy. The Wi-Fi advertised was not correct and was an unsafe connection so we could not use it. The tea and coffee selection was also nothing like what was shown in the photos. That said, there were a few thoughtful touches such as bottled water, Irn Bru and crisps being provided. Overall, it was an okay stay for a short visit, but the property did not match the standard presented in the listing.

Property is dated and the bare minimal was provide in terms of amenities (such as no basic seasoning (no salt or black pepper). One garbage bag to last 4 days for 8 guests.
