The Capital on the Park

I booked at this “spa hotel” to use the spa services but found out the steam room and sauna are out of order with no expected date to be fixed. I checked in late and went to dinner.. $570 Rand for dinner- expensive for a cold lamb shank served with only polenta, “Greek salad”.. not worth the price. My wine glass was dirty.. other woman’s lipstick marks on the rim. I went to the spa, got in my robe and saw the out of order sign on the sauna. Disappointed I got dressed, went to the front desk and they say they have a steam room. I go back to the steam room, get back in my robe and sit in the steam room.. it’s barely warm. I realized I am not getting any spa like experience and get dressed again to go back to the front desk. They are barely apologetic. I ask if they can compensate with a spa service to make up for the inconvenience as I booked this exact hotel because it advertised itself as a spa hotel. They can’t because the ladies doing services work for themselves. I asked for a refund because I wanted to go to another hotel that offered spa amenities. They could not give me a refund. I wanted to go to another hotel just a couple minutes down the road but didn’t want to pay for 2 hotels in one night. 0/5 would not recommend this hotel to someone looking to use any spa services.

beautiful property with safety measures when going to your room. good dining options. the additional fee for breakfast is worth every penny with a lot of options for everyone.

Nos encantó hospedarnos en este hotel. Estuvimos 3 veces (total de 5 noches). La zona es segura & tranquila. El personal es muy amable, paciente & siempre con buena actitud. Área de alberca muy cómoda. Lo único es que la alberca está a temperatura ambiente, estaba muy fría. La comida & bebidas son deliciosas, precio justo por lo que se paga. Solamente agregaría más opciones al desayuno. El cuarto cómodo, espacio pequeño pero con lo necesario. Cama & almohadas bien, agregaría otro tipo de almohada ya que las que tienen están muy aguadas. No pudimos usar el sauna porque no servía. Fuera de estos detalles: Definitivamente volveríamos a hospedarnos & lo recomendamos ampliamente.

Was great but no tennis channel on Roland Garros final!

Indoor and outdoor eating area. Convenient location and very friendly and helpful staff. I recommend the Capital

Thabo at front desk was exceptional, so was the porter. Everything is good except the centralised AC and noise from the swimsuit pool- maybe because it was festive season

Free underground parking, big rooms, clean, nice bar and restaurant

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant offered good quality, well priced food and there was a well stocked bar leading out to a pleasant outdoor area with a pool

Reallt decent stay in Sandton; comfortable rooms, very friendly staff. Seems to do conference events meaning the restaurant and bar are quite busy day and evening

The first day eas a bit disappointing. At the pool area, we had ro ask over 5 times for towels. Eventually, the people next to me asked on our behalf as well. We were told there are no more towels. The hotel wasnt even full. We werent assisted with drinks or food at all. We just left.

Hotel rooms are dated and small. We had a twin room and the wardrobe door couldn't open fully because it bumped into the bedside table. Bathroom furniture had a lot of water damage. No nice toiletries, just cheap no brand shampoo/conditioner mixed together, cheap little handsoap in plastic wrapper. Walls are paper thin, we could hear everything in the room next to ours. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Lobby looks nice but that is where the luxury ends. We had an okay stay, location is convenient and staff is friendly.

The cleanliness

The gentleman in a reception was so patient with my family when we arrived in the hotel the rooms was not ready he try his best to accommodate us I forgot his name but his was the best. The cleaners were very helpful thank you.Only the bar staff was dodge where they realised my children didn't speak any of South African dialogue which is a disgrace in a human form

Got To The Room And It Smelled So Bad Had To Call The Manager To Get It Cleaned. Then The Cleaning People Came And One Of The Maids Stole $450 Out Of My Wife’s Purse! IF the Room Would Have Been Cleaned When We Arrived, The Cleaning People Would Not Have Had To Come In And Do Additional Cleaning. Then They Stole $450 Out of My Wife's Purse In The Bedroom While She Was Talking To The Manager In The Living Room! After Filing A Formal Complaint – We Have Never Heard Back From The Manager. MAYBE He Was In On The Whole Situation And Was Just Distracting My Wife With A Conversation In The Living Room While The Cleaning Lady Went Into My Wife’s Purse And Stole the $450! Stay AWAY From The Capital On The Park! DO NOT STAY HERE! We Want To Be Reimbursed For The $450 The Cleaning People Stole From My Wife’s Purse!

Great Hotel and rooms are lovely

I highly recommend this property (room 810) a one bedroom flat. The view, furniture, kitchen & dining area was practical and well furnished. The staff, from receptionist to drivers, were friendly and very helpful. Housekeeping was quite flexible with room cleaning. This Capital Park is closely located to the Sandton Shopping mall which was handy for grocery shopping and other activities. I will stay here again on my next visit. Things to watch out for the mattress is quite soft; Food menu is very limited.

Muy buen servicio

Located in the commercial district-5-10 minute walk from Nelson Mandela Square-where you will find a variety of restaurant and shopping options. There is also a lovely stage-theatre-I was able to catch a lovely performance. My room was great-the staff really cared. I would recommend the hotel to everyone.

I will highly recommend The Capital on the Park. I have been staying at the hotel since August of 2023 . I never had any problems or complaints. The food is always great the ambiance is great. Definitely a winner!!
