Amazing, luxurious, cave hotel. Lovely bathroom with double jacuzzi. Excellent choice at breakfast. Crazy circular bed. Beautiful terrace - great for watching hot air balloons at sunrise.

The hotel is situated in a typical cave building, which is nice, but the location is not great especially relative to alternatives that are further up the hill. Also the public spaces within the hotel are much less charming than in other hotels and there is no dedicated restaurant. Breakfast is served in a fairly dingy basement with no windows and is very average. The coffee is extremely bad - the machine makes some kind of odd flavored instant coffee mix which is undrinkable. Overall I would suggest something higher in the hill with views and better spaces to eat and relax.

Great property, the rooftop is nice, designed for instagrammers but you can actually have a good time there and bring your own drinks, shisha. One grip I have is that during breakfast they need to upgrade their extractor fan, when you come out of breakfast you end up smelling like you have been cooking in a dungeon for hours - nothing major just a small consideration not that pleasant. Over all the property is great, great service, great staff, friendly, warm and awesome feel with caves and stone.

Fantastic place to stay. The rooms are amazing and the whole hotel has been thought out and planned very well with all the decor and amenities. Convenient parking outside, great views, extremely friendly staff, comfortable room, just a great place to stay and explore the whole region. Definitely planning on visiting again!

The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars Is because we communicated our need for 2 beds well in advance and were assured it would be provided but it was not. The beds are only full size so sharing was very uncomfortable. Otherwise the property was clean, well-maintained, and had excellent WiFi and AC. The breakfast provided by the hotel is truly excellent - it has numerous options and the quality was by the far the best we experienced in our 2 weeks in Turkey. The beds are small and very firm (IMO too firm). Because the hotel is built in caves on the side of a hill, there are many stairs some of which are a lot treacherous so I would not recommend it if you have accessibility issues. The verandas offer beautiful views of the area. The shops and restaurants in downtown Goreme are within a short walk. The hotel staff helped us book our excursions (balloon ride and jeep safari), which was very helpful and we really enjoyed them.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was a bit of an issue as the hotel only offered delivery from 3 restuarants and room service dining was was very limited and not great. As location was convenient it was better to walk into town for meals. Beautiful view of the balloons at sunrise.

Asim in front desk was really awesome . I left my phone in the taxi I arrived and she was able to track it down and got the driver to drop it back to us . Hotel is amazing with walking distance to town for restaurants and shopping . Ballon viewing from the terrace in the AM was truly magically when over 100 balloons in the air . Breakfast in the morning was good as well ! We will definitely stay here when we come back .

The most unique accommodations, carved into the stone of the hillside, the rooms are spacious, with large bathroom, terraced views, strong WiFi, great lighting, welcoming staff, and very good breakfast buffet. Also walkable to everything in Goreme. Highly recommend!

Spectacular property in a great location - about 200 meters from downtown Goreme. Amazing customer service, excellent amenities, the rooms are beautiful and very clean. It’s such a cool experience to stay at this cave hotel - our room had a Turkish hamam. We’d love to go back and stay there again. Breakfast was delicious and everyone who we encountered from the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. Fatih was so helpful and catered to all our asks.

The area was good and the breakfast was okay. The room was musty with no bathroom ventalation. Black mold surrounded the shower doors on the lower walls. Glass doors you could no longer see through due to gross build up on them. Tried a bath in the pretty claw foot tub.... the plunbing in the wall was broken and it flooded the floor. The rooms are much darker inside than they appear in the pictures. Too bad because this place has promise. Because of the black mold and serious musty smell i would not recommend this hotel for people with breathing issues. I wish I could attach pictures!!!

Our family of 4 had an excellent stay in suite #301. A cave hotel is a unique experience and the staff made it special with the service. They helped us with tours, airport transfers and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was really good with a lot to choose from even for vegetarians. Rooms were very clean and good water pressure in the shower. Highly recommended!

Ideal Location: Perfect for exploring Goreme, it’s within walking distance to the city center yet remains quiet at night. Unique Decor: Rooms feature charming themed decorations. Cons: Dim and Small Rooms: Our Cave Suite was quite dark and compact. We also experienced dust falling from the stucco ceiling whenever guests upstairs moved around. Unmaintained Terrace: The advertised terrace with cushions for viewing balloons and taking pictures was disappointing. The platform with cushions, as advertised, did not exist. The cushions were neglected, stacked under a shed, and very dirty.

Visually the place looks great, but the beds are not comfortable, the AC works when it wanted to, the breakfast buffet is limited based on other hotels and the kitchen staff is mean. Out of all the staff we encountered, there was just one person who was nice to us. Everyone else is always annoyed even before you approach them. The worst part was we had made an error with our arrival time. We thought we were arriving at 2:50PM, but in fact it was 2:50AM. On our way to the airport in Istanbul, I saw that there was room availability on Expedia, but I ran out of time to book it as I had to board the plane. When we arrived at Hera, the front desk said that there were rooms available but he couldn’t give them to us. We don’t know the reason why. We offered to pay, he still refused. He offered us to wait in the lobby all night. I had to sleep in the lobby. No dignity! It was humiliating!!! People were coming and going. After a late night flight, I was exhausted. We searched the surrounding area for other hotel rooms, but we were not sure how far they were as we would have to walk with all of our luggage in tow. This hotel needs training on customer care in my opinion.

What a lovely hotel in an amazing location. Price was reasonable for such an upscale hotel. We had the deluxe suite and it really lived up to our standards. The most unique accommodations, carved into the stone of the hillside, the rooms are spacious, with large bathroom, terraced views, strong WiFi, great lighting, welcoming staff, and very good breakfast buffet. Also walkable to everything in Goreme. Highly recommend!

Amazing location, beautiful rooms and hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, Fatih was the best helping us with anything and everything we needed, including our luggage. We asked him for multiple things and he continued to help in every way he could with the best attitude possible. I highly recommend Hera cave suite for your stay in cappadocia.

Friendly staff, perfect location away from noise but extremely walkable to great restaurants and local shops. The staff arranged for all of our tours and handled all communications timely and effectively. English and Spanish spoken fluently by most staff members.

Asim in front desk was really awesome . I left my phone in the taxi I arrived and she was able to track it down and got the driver to drop it back to us . Hotel is amazing with walking distance to town for restaurants and shopping . Ballon viewing from the terrace in the AM was truly magically when over 100 balloons in the air . Breakfast in the morning was good as well ! We will definitely stay here when we come back .

Great place to stay. Not enough light inside the suite to get ready if you are going out to dinner or want to trim your beard. The hotel shuttle service is also extremely expensive. We recommend renting a car and not relying on the hotel for taxi/shuttle service

My teens and I had a great stay at the Hera cave suites. We had some bad experiences coming from Istanbul and were very glad to have arrived at the Hera. Alper at the front desk was super efficient , helpful and proactive. He gave us very good advise on dining, transportation and tour packages and was ever helpful. Nilufer at front desk was lovely, kind and always smiling! A shout- out too to the friendly front desk/ bellboy Fateh- he knew we were tired upon arrival and offered to take us to a restaurant we chose via a short cut. He always stops to chat a bit when he see him. All in , the staff at Hera made our cappadocia trip a great experience. Thank you !!

The hotel is situated in a typical cave building, which is nice, but the location is not great especially relative to alternatives that are further up the hill. Also the public spaces within the hotel are much less charming than in other hotels and there is no dedicated restaurant. Breakfast is served in a fairly dingy basement with no windows and is very average. The coffee is extremely bad - the machine makes some kind of odd flavored instant coffee mix which is undrinkable. Overall I would suggest something higher in the hill with views and better spaces to eat and relax.

It’s such a cool experience to stay at this cave hotel - our room had a Turkish hamam. We’d love to go back and stay there again. Breakfast was delicious and everyone who we encountered from the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. Fatih was so helpful and catered to all our asks.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the room was spacious and decorated so well. The rooftop was beautiful and I loved how they had seating areas everywhere around the hotel. The only downfall was the breakfast. The hot food was cold and there wasn’t much variety. The staff in the restaurant aren’t very friendly either, they don’t seat you or talk to you.. Given that the hotel is absolutely amazing, the breakfast was a let down but besides that I can’t fault it at all. The rest of the staff were lovely, very welcoming. I do recommend this hotel. It truly is beautiful and I would like to return some day.

The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars Is because we communicated our need for 2 beds well in advance and were assured it would be provided but it was not. The beds are only full size so sharing was very uncomfortable. Otherwise the property was clean, well-maintained, and had excellent WiFi and AC. The breakfast provided by the hotel is truly excellent - it has numerous options and the quality was by the far the best we experienced in our 2 weeks in Turkey. The beds are small and very firm (IMO too firm). Because the hotel is built in caves on the side of a hill, there are many stairs some of which are a lot treacherous so I would not recommend it if you have accessibility issues. The verandas offer beautiful views of the area. The shops and restaurants in downtown Goreme are within a short walk. The hotel staff helped us book our excursions (balloon ride and jeep safari), which was very helpful and we really enjoyed them.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very beautiful, comfortable, and especially we liked the heated floors. The bathroom was large with all the amenities needed. The breakfast served had a lot of options, we could order specialty omelet. The restaurant was also cave looking. If we come back in the future, we are going to choose the same property. We loved everything.

A Beautiful Stay with Exceptional Hospitality! We had a wonderful stay at Hera Cave Hotel in Cappadocia from October 3–6 as a party of five. We had two rooms, with three of us in one room and two in the other, and both rooms were spacious, lovely, and impeccably clean. The bathrooms were also wonderfully large and spotless. The property itself was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more special. The staff were incredibly courteous, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. A special shoutout to Fatih, who took such great care of us and made our experience truly memorable. His thoughtfulness and exceptional hospitality really stood out! We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread every morning, with plenty of wonderful options to start our day. What impressed us most was the extra thoughtfulness on our departure day—the hotel prepared boxed breakfasts for all of us so we wouldn’t miss out on breakfast while catching our flights. It was such a kind and considerate gesture that we really appreciated! A Beautiful Stay with Exceptional Hospitality! We had a wonderful stay at Hera Cave Hotel in Cappadocia from October 3–6 as a party of five. We had two rooms, with three of us in one room and two in the other, and both rooms were spacious, lovely, and impeccably clean. The bathrooms were also wonderfully large and spotless. The property itself was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more special. The staff were incredibly courteous, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. A special shoutout to Fatih, who took such great care of us and made our experience truly memorable. His thoughtfulness and exceptional hospitality really stood out! We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread every morning, with plenty of wonderful options to start our day. What impressed us most was the extra thoughtfulness on our departure day—the hotel prepared boxed breakfasts for all of us so we wouldn’t miss out on breakfast while catching our flights. It was such a kind and considerate gesture that we really appreciated! Overall, Hera Cave Hotel exceeded our expectations with its beautiful property, spacious and spotless rooms, delicious breakfasts, and outstanding hospitality. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hera Cave Suites. The room was very large with a nice sitting room downstairs and the bedroom and bath upstairs. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The staff we interacted with were all very helpful and friendly, The breakfast was phenomenal… so many delicious items to eat, both sweet and savory, including meats, many bread products, pastries, fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts, cheeses and lots more. The hotel was a nice walk to downtown with all the restaurants and shops, but it was far enough away from the downtown area to be quiet and peaceful.
