Red Planet Manila Bay

One thing I didn’t like during our stay was that the parking area smelled bad, as if some people had pooped and peed there. You could even see human waste in the back corner of the parking space. The parking space was also very limited—one side could only accommodate about six cars. It was quite inconvenient because if you were parked in front of another car, you had to go all the way down from your room just to move your car so the other guests could get out. The staff, however, were friendly and accommodating.

No samples of soap ahsmpoo coffe or tea. You wanted bottled water you had to get in reception

Overall a great hotel for the area. Walking distance to Robinson’s Place mall, US embassy, SLMC Clinic for visa medicals, Manila Ocean Park, Rizal Park, and there is a laundry mat conveniently located next door. Only issue I had was that one of two elevators was not operational and caused long delays to enter and leave the room. Hopefully the elevator is repaired soon.

Lack of service and no coffee available inside the room.

Okay hotel, located in Ermita. A poor area. High poverty. My room is small. Mini fridge and hot water kettle. Two coffee cups. No instant coffee or tea in the room. Buy your own. No Kleenex in room. Two bath towels. No hand towel or wash cloth. Seven Eleven close by and restaurants. Larger supermarkets 10-12 minute walk.

Great price, great staff. Just need to repair the 1 lift

Only one elevator in service during my stay.

Only one elevator working so there was a long wait to go to your room. The streets were full of homeless people, and the alleys were dark and dirty, and there was not enough parking space so I had to park on the street about a block away, I had to pay for the street parking. The checkout process was ugly due to making you wait for the room inspection and I had to leave because we were running late for our NBI appointment, I had to argue and had a confrontation with the security. I paid my dues in full but I felt like I was mistreated like a bad person, I don't understand this hotel policy which we don't have in the U.S The hotel was clean and presentable in fairness. I hope they get rid of the room inspection wait policy otherwise I will come back to this place.

Room was dusty

red planet manila bay is very close to the USA EMBASSEY and this was my 2nd stay there very good.......at NIGHT the area is dark, spooky, ghetto area and i would never walk the streets nearby .....our hotel room was nice and clean BUT the FLOOR WAS DIRTY.....floor needed to be swept and mopped....my white socks were very dirty walking in our room.......other that that it is a nice hotel that i recommend.......

The most thing I like about red planet the most was the view of Manila Bay especially at night.It is close to restaurants, church, hospital and mall.The staff are all nice from the front desk, guards and housekeeping. There’s just one thing that needs to be given the most attention is the bathroom. Needs deep cleaning as it starts getting molds. Overall, I’m satisfied and would highly recommend Red Planet.

Clean room

Very nice and clean.

The staff here are attentive, but the cleanliness of the hotel room could have been better. There were small flies and bugs coming out of the drains of both the bathroom sink and shower. It was also unpleasant to use the restroom in the lobby area as it had no AC and had mosquitoes flying around. As for the surrounding area, it was sad to walk by homeless people (chidren and adults) in the streets nearby, therefore I did not walk to the hotel by myself at night.

I liked staying here. I'd stay again. The staff was great. My only complaint was the room was smaller than i expected which didnt really affect my stay once i got used to it. Its very close to a lot of the places i wanted to see.

This hotel is very clean. Lots of English tv stations in my upgraded room overlooking the Manila Bay.

"Incredibly" super small room and no sound proofing. Didn't get sleep the first night due to the constant talking and laughing in the room next door. Check out was weird that the staff demanded that we wait while they checked the room. Literally nothing in the room apart from a bed and a TV stuck on the wall.

The room is well designed, except for the lack of storage. Bathroom ventilation works well. A lot of night traffic noise from Roxas avenue. I was at level 15. Very nice view on Manila bay. Plenty of services available nearby.

Great shower and comfy bed staff were great Noisy at night could hear every door slam and traffic noise was hard to sleep but overall it was ok

Good, but the room was smaller than expected.

Internet went out overnight and not on in morning. I had to check out and move to another hotel to work as I work online

When you get there you have to wait for a minimum 4 hrs to get your room ready it’s all bs

Service is excellent. Room is very cozy and clean. Security and safety is superb. Keep up the good work guys.

Called the main line for a week and nobody ever answered. I reached out via email and got a quick response which was great however, I wasted a week of my time stressing trying to get someone on the phone which was frustrating.

Staff are friendly, easy checkin, clean facilities. Complement to Mr. Julius for helping me my children's trash bag, and providing us with what we needed! Highly recommended place!

Great location near the Manila Bay Beach, Rizal Park and Intramuros. Very walkable, near Robinsons Mall. Our room was small but spotless. The staff were so friendly and eager to help. Great value.

It was a quick walk to yhe US Embassy.

The hotel is nice. The street had water backed up and it smelled of sewage. The street also had materials blocking it

The road in front of the hotel was narrow and dark, so I felt a bit uneasy going out at night. It would be better if the area in front of the hotel were a little brighter.

Property is perfect for US Embassy and SLEC visitors. Room was clean and modern. The only negative is street floods easily.

We stayed for one night. The room was small but cozy. We got what we paid for. Area was not very safe especially in the evening.

A lot of construction near this property made access difficult

The Hotel is clean, safe, comfortable and secured, perfect location close to US embassy. Cons: Very limited parking space, Don't ever think of bringing your car. Surrounding Areas has a lot of homeless, Marites, tambay's, beggars.

Really nice building and the room was nice and big. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Nice to have a desk and chair. The location was close to some attractions like Rizal park, Manila Bay and Intramuros but the area around the property was horrible. Quite overwhelming the number of street people, garbage and aggressive kids. Too bad.

This hotel is a good value. The only negative is the downstairs restaurants food is not very good.

The hotel was clean and the room we stayed in was also very clean. Will most definitely stay there again in the future. Plus, the restaurant had really good food.

Just a short walk from the U.S. Embassy, with convenient access to Chowking, Starbucks, and a nearby drugstore—all just around the corner. The only downsides I noticed were the cleanliness of the surrounding area once you step outside the hotel, and the indoor fragrance. While I do appreciate a pleasant scent, the one used here was a bit too strong for my preference.

Hotel con ottima posizione, a Manila Bay, vicino a molte attrazioni e comodo per visite della città ed escursioni. Struttura moderna e molto confortevole; albergo molto pulito e personale davvero gentile. Mi sono trovato davvero bene, lo consiglio davvero. Unica nota negativa o “poco comprensibile”: la colazione. Non ricordo neanche se l’avessi prenotata (inclusa o no), non riesco più a visualizzare questa info da Expedia, ma in ogni caso, la difficoltà è la “poca chiarezza”. Il ristorante si trova attaccato all’hotel, con accesso esterno, vengono forniti 2 menù, uno “senza prezzi” con alcune scelte di breakfast (americana, continentale, etc) ed ogni formula contiene circa 5 scelte di piatti, ampia scelta; oltre a questo viene fornito anche un menu con i prezzi. La logica vorrebbe che se si sceglie dal menu senza prezzi, la colazione sia inclusa, invece non si capisce niente: loro non parlano / comprendono bene l’inglese. Alla fine ho pagato pochissimo di supplemento colazione, ma è una questione di principio. Oltre al fatto che non sanno bene spiegarsi su come mai, se scegli alcuni piatti / formule, poi non puoi prenderne altri (io ho solo chiesto 1 black coffe con latte freddo a parte, un succo d’arancia e pane tostato con burro, ma dato che il black coffe era nella sezione “American breakfast”, e il succo d’arancia in un’altra sezione, mi hanno risposto NO. Dopo aver insistito, che pagavo il supplemento, me l’hanno servito). Insomma formule un po’ strane per la colazione.

Easy to shopping and other dining choices

Very central to cheap eats and walking distance to the bay. Also had a beautiful water view from my bedroom window. I will be back when in Manila.

They don’t have free Breakfast for the value of the Hotel , a lot of hotels near by offers free breakfast.

Perfect location for a quiet get away. Close to cheap street eats. Beautiful bay view from my toom window. Will stay again.
