This appears to be a lovely home, we only wish we had the opportunity to truly enjoy it. When we arrived late Thursday evening, after a 10 hour drive, we saw that there was a construction project on the neighboring property, not a good first impression. 7:00 AM the following morning we woke to hammering, voices, music etc... 20 feet (6.1 meters) from the main bedroom. When we called to voice our concern, we were given two options. (1) We could leave and receive a full refund, knowing there were no other accommodations we would find for six people and two dogs. Or accept a 25% refund. Neither option was acceptable, but with no where to go we unwillingly accepted the 25%. Fortunately there was no work Saturday and Sunday, so we did have two enjoyable days. 7:00 AM Monday, not only did the work continue, but the concrete trucks and boom trucks were on site, imagine the noise. My wife, who has Cystic Fibrosis, had to increase her breathing treatments due to the dust in the air. When I spoke to the owner of the neighboring property, she said it would be like this all week. When the Host finally responded, after several attempts to reach them, They basically said, Sorry, that's not our problem! The sad thing is, this was a family gathering, coming from three different states, to enjoy some time together. We all ended up leaving the property on Monday 7/6 even though we were booked through Saturday 7/11. Unfortunately our family time was cut way too short, but we all agreed the

This property was very clean and the location was excellent. We loved being able to walk to the little park nearby and watch the sunset. Plus the cute downtown area was just a short drive away. The only two suggestions I would offer (and these are minior things) are 1) I wish the hosts would replace some of the smaller cocktail glasses with full-sized wine glasses. There were only two full wine glasses, which I found surprising considering the number of wineries around (I noticed another guest suggested this quite some time ago as well); 2) Some of the house rules went above and beyond what we have experienced at other rentals (and we have stayed at many over the years). In particular, the rule about not cooking strong-smelling food was a bit much IMO. Other than that, the stay was wonderful!

We had a great stay. The place was nice, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It is located on a quiet street, which made for a relaxing visit. We would happily stay here again.
