This is a perfect spot to experience Lima, in the trendy, artistic area of Barranco. The hotel is attractive and well equipped. Having a restaurant available after a long flight is a plus, and the roof bar is great fun. I found the staff very friendly and efficient. I recommend this hotel whole heartedly.

One of my favorite stays in all of South America - the room was so clean and peaceful. The roof makes an excellent pisco sour and has views of the sunset. The staff is one of the best I've experienced as well.

Fantastic boutique hotel. The building is a gem and location was perfect in barranco. Amazing art store in front, restaurants nearby. Excellent breakfast. We were sad to Leave! Great staff as well. Loves the rooftop bar!

Wow. Beautiful hotel in a terrific neighborhood! We had a lovely, light-filled room overlooking the garden. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Nice surprise to get a ticket for a free welcome drink at the rooftop bar. And the free breakfast was a cut above what we experienced at other hotels in Peru.

El hotel, restaurante, y desayuno están increíbles. Igual a su ubicación muy conveniente al Barranco y la costa. Mi única queja es la condición de la bicicleta que me dieron para utilizar mientras me quedaba en el hotel. Estaba en tan mal arreglo que no me di cuenta de que el manubrio estaba peligrosamente suelta y no atado bien al tubo delantero del bici hasta que yo ya estaba montando e intenté girar y cruzar la calle enfrente. Tengo mucha experiencia con pasear en bici, y aún así se me cayó enfrente del tráfico y fue una experiencia aterroriza. Y por estar muy ocupados con la hora de despedida de otros huéspedes, nadie me hizo mucho caso cuando volví y me quejé. Si van a tener bicis para el uso de los huéspedes, hay que asegurarse de que estén en condición segura.

Not sure who gave this place decent ratings. First, for VIP package they just gave a coupon for 2 cheap beers and refused others. The room had a strong moldy smell and there were many insects on the floor. They advertised there are bikes to take- apparently those are broken. The breakfast is typical, not much. The only decent thing is the somewhat overpriced bar on the roof. The staff offered us loads of excuses instead of real services.

I have stayed in Miraflores on many occasions while visiting my mother in Lima but this time I decided to stay in Barranco at Casa Republica. I must say that Casa Republica in Barranco exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean, the bed was great, very clean sheets, and very comfortable. The best part was that there was plenty of hot water and the shower head felt like I was under a waterfall. I will definitely be returning. The only thing I'd like to see is more vegan options for their breakfast buffet.

The property itself has charm and location us good. Unfortunately,the rooms are old and smell musty,almost mold like. We tried to change our room as mold concerns but other room have the same odor. Staff claimed that room wasn’t open thats why the smell but as s fact, there were guests checking out from the sane room the same day. All in all, the hotel is authentic, staff is helpfull and nice but smell/mold concerns are serious and needs to be dealt with.

Beautiful historic property in one of the nicest parts of Lima takes you back in time about a century. Staff went above and beyond. Cozy and clean rooms. It was the perfect conclusion to our Peru vacation.

This is an amazing property, in maybe THE best location to stay in Lima. The property is immaculate, the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful, and the rooms and facilities are beautifully maintained. All this, and 200 yards from the cliff-top view of the ocean. And breakfast was included!! The Barranco neighbourhood is a hidden gem. The quiet, elegant street that the Casa Republica is located on, is a great spot to stay. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the Barranco square / Bridge of Sighs, where a wide range of bars, shops, restaurants, gelaterias, and other sights are found, the location is perfect. It was a 25 minute walk to the Miraflores / Larcomar waterfront (or about US$5 in an Uber), but frankly we preferred the Barranco area, which had a direct walkway down to the beach as well. We will stay here again.

Great staff, beautiful hotel and area, comfortable bed and pillows…. Although it is noisy, you can here everything from inside the room. It really doesn’t break the deal if you like to go out at night late, but if you’re in bed early it’s not the best. But overall it’s lovely.

We had a large suite in the “new” wing, however it wasn’t very well appointed: like many properties in this part of the world the materials are not high quality. Though the bed was huge and very comfortable, we were woken up very early by the noise in the courtyard below and the flat roof above were staff or workers were: the insulation isn’t good, as the wooden windows have single glazing and they don’t close hermetically. We could also hear people talk in the room next to ours and there was noisy maintenance work with drilling taking place during the day, so we decided not to extend our stay and move somewhere else. Be aware there’s no lift, only stairs.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Republica; the staff were wonderful, the breakfast was Great, and it's situated perfecly in Barranco, with quick access/walk to stores and some tourist locations. Only feedback I have is that if you're staying on the main floor of the first building (the one where you check-in), it can get very loud throughout the day. The sounds from the hallway clearly go through to the rooms, and if you're on the ones facing/closer to the street, you will also very clearly hear every car that pass by. This asside, this is a wonderful stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Republica; the staff were wonderful, the breakfast was Great, and it's situated perfecly in Barranco, with quick access/walk to stores and some tourist locations. The property, location, and staff were phenomenal. However, our "superior" room was a bit of a disappointment. Our room featured only a sliding door that did not 100% seal. The room directly off a seating area and the courtyard, which constantly had guests and staff talking immediately outside at all times of the day, including taking phone calls in the earlier morning. The location on the courtyard also meant there was no way to get natural light in the room while maintaining any privacy. We had to exist in complete darkness unless we wanted to be on display to the entire hotel. Many things about the hotel are great, but our room situation was a letdown and was really quite uncomfortable for us overall for the above reasons.

This is a gorgeous property and we were assigned a beautiful well equipped room. Staff was very kind and even readied 2 to-go lunches for our early flight. We did have one significant issue with the property however. We were assigned a room in the entry way which while gorgeous was insanely noisy. We aren’t overly picky and we aren’t light sleepers… but it sounded like a crowded bar outside our room the entire night. It seemed there was a ton of foot traffic as well as loud talking from the reception desk, the bellman, etc. Neither of us slept well and we both talked about it multiple times the next day.
This is a gorgeous property and we were assigned a beautiful well equipped room. Staff was very kind and even readied 2 to-go lunches for our early flight. We did have one significant issue with the property however. We were assigned a room in the entry way which while gorgeous was insanely noisy. We aren’t overly picky and we aren’t light sleepers… but it sounded like a crowded bar outside our room the entire night. It seemed there was a ton of foot traffic as well as loud talking from the reception desk, the bellman, etc. Neither of us slept well and we both talked about it multiple times the next day.

We loved the beauty and character and decor of the hotel and particularly our room. Staff were exceptionally helpful. I walk with a cane and our check-in young man noticed (i should have noted his name but he wore eye glasses) and moved us from a second floor room to the fabulous first floor room. The all day coffee/tea station was much appreciated. The breakfast outdoor and indoor area was so charming and the food was delicious. The location was fabulous and so close to great restaurants like Isolina and Siete. We only wished we had booked more than one night.

This is a perfect spot to experience Lima, in the trendy, artistic area of Barranco. The hotel is attractive and well equipped. Having a restaurant available after a long flight is a plus, and the roof bar is great fun. I found the staff very friendly and efficient. I recommend this hotel whole heartedly.

This is an amazing property, in maybe THE best location to stay in Lima. The property is immaculate, the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful, and the rooms and facilities are beautifully maintained. All this, and 200 yards from the cliff-top view of the ocean. And breakfast was included!! The Barranco neighbourhood is a hidden gem. The quiet, elegant street that the Casa Republica is located on, is a great spot to stay. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the Barranco square / Bridge of Sighs, where a wide range of bars, shops, restaurants, gelaterias, and other sights are found, the location is perfect. It was a 25 minute walk to the Miraflores / Larcomar waterfront (or about US$5 in an Uber), but frankly we preferred the Barranco area, which had a direct walkway down to the beach as well. We will stay here again.

I would definitely stay here again when visiting Lima. The breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed a few cocktails at the rooftop bar. All the staff were super friendly. Barranco is a wonderful neighborhood with lots to see and do.

The staff and the property were beautiful. The staff working in the restaurant, breakfast and rooftop bar were very polite and nice. The stay was wonderful. The only problem was that the breakfast was until 11 AM on Sunday that we were there but everything was finished by 10 am. We thought they would refill so we waited, but they did not.

Very nice hotel in a cool building with great service. We booked a suite and the room was huge but poorly designed. The shower was so small the shower door opened into the shower stream when running and you couldn’t stand in the shower to regulate the temperature without being in the stream. It made showering unnecessarily challenging. The carpet in the suite was also the hard wearing nylon type you would expect in a public building and not a luxury hotel room making it uncomfortable to walk on. The breakfast quality was also poor. Not enough fruit, terrible pastries, and eggs (boiled or omelettes) not cooked suitably.
