I've stayed at the A Bang Resort before. It has a quiet great beachfront location - but on this visit there were major renovations underway. And I mean MAJOR! To be fair the hotel, let me know beforehand. Winter storms destroyed much of the beach last year, so to be fair the local government is undertaking a major beach reconstruction. In the short term, this is a problem (as there is no beach but massive sand dunes with cranes, trucks and diggers) but it should be finished in a few months as the work will be slowly move up the beach. The staff did the best they could under the situation which was further complicated by early rains - and the road flooding up in front of the hotel! So, great resort with garden and hopefully beach. It has 3 swimming pools. Beach bar. Wonderful staff and spa.

A very relaxed absolute beach front resort. Due to the age of the resort, it may not suit all. Our stay was impacted a bit by restoration works at the beach front, however A Bang beach was only a relatively short walk from there. Our first level room did require climbing a flight of stairs which may not suit some travelers.

Resort is tired and needs an uplift Room door lock very old not easy to lock and unlock room Breakfast was lovely Easy 15min grab approx $4 to Hoian Bed comfortable Staff very friendly and helpful

Property's location is excellent, BUT: the 1st room we were placed in was in very poor condition. The staff were kind enough to move us to a much better (still poorly maintained) room the next day. The beach which the property is located on is under heavy maintenance and construction now, basically non-swimmable. This information should be informed in advance to anyone which is booking this beach front property planning to enjoy the beach. The property has excellent potential and has a great feeling and most of the staff are nice and helpful, but it is run down and in poor maintenance condition.
