A truly fantastic place to stay. Friendly staff lovely location and great food. We had a room with adjoining bunks beds for the children, they loved it. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, a truly great find.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Drinks available downstairs. Lovely and warm, cosy. Beautiful en suite. Lovely view. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Will definately have an evening meal next time we stay and there will definately be a next time.

This was a quick night away - lovely setting and friendly staff, food good. Room was slightly tired - a coat of paint and the holes where old shelving had been would put right.

Fantastic quality - Both in service and accommodation standards. A hidden gem on the Norfolk Broads. The accommodation was just what our family of 7 were looking for and so that was the primary reason for booking here for our first visit. However, it was the outstanding friendliness, service and flexibility that completely blew us away and we are already planning returning visits. 5 of our children have have special needs and are neurodiverse. So traveling is difficult when it’s a new place and sometimes we do run into difficulties when people first encounter them. However the staff were so accommodating, understanding and friendly and our children were comfortable in the space and had a wonderful time. Breakfast was tailored to our family also - again, normally very difficult to find food our autistic children will try but it was such a hit that our son asked for a second helping on our last morning and it was kindly given. The site was a winter wonderland and beautifully laid out - our lodge was built to such a high standard and heating easily controlled in each room. Everything needed was already in our lodge including a beautiful Christmas tree which made the children very happy. The only downside was leaving! We didn’t want to leave. Preparing to book again for both our summer and winter trips to Norfolk next year. Thank you a million times over for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the Captain's Cabin. We had the loveliest welcome, and the simplest possible check in! We already knew the room had low, sloped ceilings, so it just added to the special character of the place. The views from the window were amazing at sunrise and sunset. We would love to return in the future.

"The boathouse is such a lovely and peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the busier seaside resorts. It offers the best of both worlds. Despite being a popular venue for weddings, the music was kept at a low volume and we couldn\'t hear anything from room 6, so we had a really good night\'s sleep. My two children had a blast at the little play park, and the breakfast was absolutely delightful. The room rates were reasonable, and our overall experience was just lovely. Thank you!"

A truly fantastic place to stay. Friendly staff lovely location and great food. We had a room with adjoining bunks beds for the children, they loved it. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, a truly great find.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Drinks available downstairs. Lovely and warm, cosy. Beautiful en suite. Lovely view. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Will definately have an evening meal next time we stay and there will definately be a next time.

Really enjoyed our stay in Heron Lodge. Staff were friendly, lodge was clean and quiet and bed was comfortable. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant.

Really lovely stay. We stayed in the crows nest wit our two young children. Very comfortable space to stay and nice and clean. The staff are ao warm qnd welcoming and really accommodating. Breakfast was lovely! And the views across the water are lovely too. Really nice children's park there too.

We booked here when we saw they had air-conditioning and it didn’t seem to be working effectively so they sent maintenance up and the filter was absolutely loaded with debris and had not been changed in a very long time. Eventually, it was working better, but still not optimal. Queen bed was comfortable, but the pullout sleeper sofa was absolutely terrible and our daughters ended sleeping up on the floor. Literally had a foam pad that was only about an inch thick over the metal bars and I don’t see how anyone could sleep on that so don’t expect to have anyone sleep on the sofa bed or bring an air mattress if you’re traveling with children. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay but we would not recommend this for families and do not plan on returning.

A lovely find down a quite private road. Great food excellent selection too, all freshly cooked to order. Breakfast was also excellent more than we could eat sadly. The accommodation was a bonus bed excellent and the air conditioning on a hot day was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and helpful. It was fun watching the antics of the ducks and geese outside. Somewhere to return too again
