Very welcoming staff. Free parking, which is becoming a rarity, spacious, economical room and attached to a nicely priced pu with good food. The pub was a bit noisy, but didn’t worry us at all, but you might like to be aware.

We only stayed for a night and was perfect for our purpose. Kids slept well which was the main thing and room was clean. Only downfall is no lift and as a family room we had lots of stairs to get to our room which wasn't ideal. But would stay again.

Booked for overnight stay when working away from home, needed WiFi, which was free and worked ok. More details about parking would have been useful, I didn’t know they had parking at the back and on a busy one way road it took a while for me to spot it. Room was a decent size and clean, bathroom a bit tired, but again it was clean. Lovely large comfy bed. Reasonable rates. Staff were friendly. I’d stay again if working in the area

The hotel allows you to bring along pets, which was evident in the first room we were offered as there were pet hairs in the bed. The second room hadn't been prepared at all and the third one was adequate. Shame really because all of the staff in reception were extremely pleasant and very apologetic

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel is conveniently linked to the pub next door where the food is good and well priced. Parking is available at the back of the hotel which is convenient. Easily accessible from the M42 and not far from Solihull station. It is also not far from Birmingham airport. I will certainly use the hotel again.

A nice basic hotel, very clean & staff lovely. No breakfast facilities unfortunately but there’s a pub next door which does do breakfasts & a Wetherspoons down the road. Convenient for all amenities in the area

Really good value for money. Car park to the rear which is free. Rooms clean and tidy. Numerous eating options just a very short walk including Weatherspoon's and Asda for breakfast. The Place adjoining does not open for breakfast until 9am. This is the second time we have stayed here when going to the NEC which is under 10 miles away

Room was dusty with scum in the bath. Had to ask for clean towels daily even tho our stay was for 4 nights. Bed was changed only twice. No food served on premises àll tho the pub had amazing food.

Stay and room was fine. With free parking and within a decent proximity to shops and a playground so can't really complain. Our table in the room could do with a bit of wiping down though as it had some sticky bits on top but that's it really.

The property is in the heart of Shirley and on the main high street. A brilliant location in a busy high street, yet amazingly quiet. Lovely spacious room.

Great value for money. Situated,on high street so plenty of places to eat especially the adjoining pub which is reasonably cheap. Supermarket 3 mins walk away. Room basic but clean. Doubke bed very comfortable and clean, shower, tv, kettle with coffee tea etc. No outdoor noise coming in and blackout curtains. Electric free standing fan on table. Only problem was the neighbouring room had their tv on all night. There was no phone in room and no one on reception to help address situation at 2.30am. This worried me had there been a more serious incident who would of helped? So despite signs saying quiet times between 10pm to 7am we were awake most the night. As said neighbouring room didnt respond to us knocking on door. Our only option was to leave bathroom light on so the extraction fan drowned out their noise. So this ruined our stay as it also included a long drive home which cant really afford being tired. Other than soneone else spoiling our experience it was ok.

Room outdated, stains on floor and walls. Room too hot to sleep in and no AC. A little fan provided but does nothing to the heat in the room. Window open but traffic noise due to busy street. Mattress not good !! Not a very good experience.

Redwings is in a good location , close to bars , restaurants , shops etc. Room was clean and spacious but very hot, would benefit from A/C. Overall good value for price paid.

Staff were friendly. Shame about the early 10am checkout. Most hotels we’ve stayed are minimum 11am. The rooms were very noisy too so didn’t get the best sleep.

Rooms were fine for the price, the bathroom was dated, ie poor condition of the seals around shower, door was heavy and hard to get moving....BUT shower itself was powerful and hot, very nice. you get what you pay for, so no complaints.

The reception staff was absolutely amazing so helpfull. My baby wasn't feeling well the following morning of our stay. They supported us so well in allowing us tobtake our time to check out. The lady showed a lot of compassion and consideration

Kept awake from 10pm right through to after 1.30am by loud music and singing in one of the rooms. Rang reception 4 times from 1am and no answer. The problem guest should have been given a warning and if not calmed down within 30 minutes should have been thrown out of the hotel. Why should every other guest have no sleep due to an unruly guest and poor hotel procedures.

Easy to access location, with plenty of local ammenities. Clean hotel and quiet, triple glazed rooms cut out lots of the outside noise. I'd definitely stay here again for my next visit to Acocks Green

This was very good value. Free parking at the rear entrance to the hotel in a pay and display car park. Don’t forget to register your car for free parking at the hotel reception! Hotel is in a great location. 8 miles from NEC. 150 yards from cafes and restaurants including an Argentinian and a Turkish one, both great meals. A large Asda store is 200 yards away. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast or meals! There is a pub next door but we didn’t try it. The room was very good and the reception staff very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel is conveniently linked to the pub next door where the food is good and well priced. Parking is available at the back of the hotel which is convenient. Easily accessible from the M42 and not far from Solihull station. It is also not far from Birmingham airport. I will certainly use the hotel again.

Really good value for money. Car park to the rear which is free. Rooms clean and tidy. Numerous eating options just a very short walk including Weatherspoon's and Asda for breakfast. The Place adjoining does not open for breakfast until 9am. This is the second time we have stayed here when going to the NEC which is under 10 miles away

Very helpful and pleasant staff on reception and comfortable room. The only drawback is that the only breakfast available is at the adjacent public house which does not open until 9:00am

Very friendly stuff Only problem as travelling alone was hotel excepts dogs but connecting pub does not , so unable to assess breakfast or dinner although could order by phone a takeaway for collection but can’t collect cause of dog so didn’t solve the issue

Very welcoming staff. Free parking, which is becoming a rarity, spacious, economical room and attached to a nicely priced pu with good food. The pub was a bit noisy, but didn’t worry us at all, but you might like to be aware.

Reasonably priced and comfortable hotel with plenty of pubs, restaurants and coffee houses locally. One critcism: no decaffeinated coffee or tea available. Fortunately I always take my own because the problem is so common in so many hotels in this country.

Stopped before, so I knew what I was getting. Guy on arrival wasn’t really that attentive, but the lady on departure was spot on. Only downside was the smell of someone smoking weed on our floor, it’s horrible. Upside, was free parking. Plus also attached to a restaurant if you want food. Decor is of a used to be Travelodge or premier inn. Prime location for shops and restaurants as it’s snack in the middle of it all.

A nice basic hotel, very clean & staff lovely. No breakfast facilities unfortunately but there’s a pub next door which does do breakfasts & a Wetherspoons down the road. Convenient for all amenities in the area

We come to this hotel on a regular basis we love the staff they are so helpful couldn't do any more for you unfortunately this time round it was a disaster. Someone had flooded the bathroom which means we had no electricity in the accessible room we were in sadly because of our autism my child didn't want to move hotels so we took the only room which was available which was in the roof so it was obviously difficult with my mobility issues not being able to use my scooter or my walker to access the room had to take my time going up a few flights of stairs to get to the room then once we were there I was too knackered to come back down to even get any food then once we had unpacked and settled in after being moved rooms we had no hot water they offered to move us rooms which was unacceptable because obviously I would've had to repack again and carry everything to a different room for one night seemed a bit excessive I know the staff member helped me with a few of my bags but that's not the same of using a walker or my scooter to do so so it put us in a predicament where we didn't really feel like we could go out plus with the no electric all my food in my box went off and I had to chuck it out because obviously going to the NEC is expensive so we bought meal deals and pastries to take with us so I already chucked out all that so it's cost me more money than normal deeply disappointed I have already cancelled my stay in November due to this because of the stress

Staff were very helpful and accommodating (moved us without any issues into a quieter room - was originally near the big pub exhaust fan extractors). Good location easy free parking. Little dated but very clean and good value for money.
