Great amenities on the property. My family and I spend a good amount of time kayaking and swimming on the lake and property. They had life jackets and kayaks available for their guests to use. It really enhanced our stay. They also had board games available which we used in the evening after swimming.

This is a nice little property with lake access via a private dock as well as kayaks and boats. The room was spacious and clean. The front desk is only staffed for a limited number of hours and days, although checkin and out is still easy. The only real issue is the lack of dining. If the on-site restaurant is not open (it has extremely limited hours and days) you have to drive into town or order food for a fee. For the price of these rooms the restaurant should be open daily. Be sure to eat prior to checking in or coming back for the night or bring food with you.

We love staying at the resort and will stay again. Highly recommend this option for anyone staying on Vancouver Island. We stayed here and drove into Tofino for the day. Very accessible and the views of the lake are beautiful. Love that there were paddle boards and kayaks available for use. The water was so clear.

What an amazing place to stay. The resort offers stunning views, amazing wildlife watching, lakefront area with docks and free access to activities like kayaking and paddleboarding. Nestled in Vancouver Island with access to Port Alberni and Tofino 1.5hrs drive - absolutely would come back and thank you for an amazing stay!

Beautiful little hotel right on the lake. Good sized room, comfortable beds, good coffee facilities in room. There’s plenty of parking and the hotel is set a long way back from the main road. The hotel has its own jetty out onto the lake and has canoes, paddle boards and kayaks that you’re free to use. A family of beavers live right by the hotel and we enjoyed hanging out on the jetty at dusk, watching them swim around and fish. We didn’t get a chance to explore further around the lake or try the restaurant as we only stayed 2 nights, but we wouldn’t hesitate to return if we were back on the island.

only stairs - to rooms - if I had brought my parents we would have been out of luck as there was no mention on site of that. Also no mention of restaurant being closed. It would have been nice to know that we have to drive into town for food as the little store across the street closed early and really not a help as they are kitchen units so you can't make anything and before the little store had a large cafe area which was great with sandwhiches and pasteries etc. at least for breakfast that was great, but still would have been nice to know the restuarant closes for the season. The room overall was nice and comfortable.

Beautiful location. Beautiful building. Dining and outside deck beautiful. Rooms big and nice. Water pressure for sink and shower was extremely low. It was almost impossible to shower. Not sure why, but it was other rooms too. Decore a bit dated.

Beautiful clean room with wonderful view. Our only issue was the first night the water went off by itself while we were using it then went on again itself after 30 seconds or so. It did this twice. It was fine the next day though.

Beautiful location right on the lake and off highway. This place has scenic views. Staff was courteous and helpful. Very close to restaurants and Port Alberni. Rooms were very clean.

Amazing location, inmediate and private access to the lake with gorgeous views. The room was nice, however the carpet could use to be cleaned as you can tell it hasn't been washed for a while. Thefood at the restaurant was really good, however they have very few options to chose from. They closed it one day due to lack of staff and it's usually just open for dinner after 5pm. They should have it available from early morning since it's the only place to have something decent to eat besides the coffee store next to the hotel where they only have sandwiches. Staff in general are super nice. The deck to the lake could also use some renovations.

Very friendly and professional service. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Amazing view from lakeside rooms. Very disappointed the restaurant was closed on a Saturday, especially as the resort is 15 minutes out of town. Thankfully we had our own snacks. Balconies were full of cobwebs and could do with a power wash

Such a nice spot but speakers around exterior decks meant whatever music was playing in the lounge was very loudly playing in room decks and right against wall of room meant hearing it everywhere. I had to explain to staff there was a speaker on my deck- they didn’t know? ruining my writing retreat weekend.

Corner balcony room overlooking the waterfront and docks was a treat. Very clean and comfortable. Cooling and heating worked well. Access to the building worked well, very secure to residents only. With limited restaurant hours (September) it is important to be stocked with a bit of food and can use the cafe across the road to stock up. There is a microwave in the lobby to heat up your own food. It's close to trails but not to shopping and amenities, it was perfect for us but be prepared before you go.

We loved Sproat Lake Landing. Such a beautiful property! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and came with a spectacular lake view. Check in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful. We also had a lovely dinner in the dining room. Food and service were outstanding. We would love to come back and enjoy this property again.

To be honest, although off season, we paid full price after booking for nothing to be open- accept our room. I believe for the evening there was only one other guest on the resort, and no one around. The front desk checked out at 5pm- we left at 11am the next day and still no one onsite but us. Lovely view and peaceful.

We arrived at 3.50pm and although the sign on the door said reception was manned between 2and 10pm the door was locked. I called the reception and she abruptly told me check in was at 4pm. Once we actually got to check in 10 minutes later she was very unfriendly! We then realised that the restaurant/bar was closed so we had to drive back 15km into town for food. Very disappointed and would not return.

Had a family emergency and couldn’t stay the night. The receptionist was extremely rude and insensitive. I didn’t even ask for a refund. I simply informed her I needed to check out as my wife had suffered a very serious injury and she just straight up told me I wouldn’t get a refund. Zero human decency. On top of that, when I checked in she met me with what felt like racial micoagressions. I gave her my status card as ID which she scrutinized and then her entire mood shifted. She was rude and made comments about her “having to take my word that I was who I said I was” because the room was already paid. Yes, I know. I paid for it. Horrible, terrible experience. They did offer me credit afterward but I never intend on staying there again.

Sproat Lake Landing was very peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. I love that we were able to take the kayak and canoe’s out whenever we wanted without any extra charge. The restaurant was nice and we enjoy the food and lake view from the patio. The staff were very kind and friendly when we checked in.

The Landing is under new owners and they are absolutely wonderful. From a friendly check in and accomdating our needs with a fantastic room set up, allowing raceboats to be securely stored and so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed coffee on our decks with beautiful lake views and enjoyed a meal at the restaurant. While menu is limited right now, what was on it was excellent and drink menu very good too. Sam was really so friendly and we look forward to our next stay. Definately booking again for the races!

We enjoyed coffee on our decks with beautiful lake views and enjoyed a meal at the restaurant. While menu is limited right now, what was on it was excellent and drink menu very good too. Sam was really so friendly and we look forward to our next stay. Definately booking again for the races!

Superbe site enchanteur! En raison du manque de personnel, aucune personne à l’accueil pour l’enregistrement à notre arrivée par contre le self Check in était bien organisé. Manque de gilet de sauvetage pour embarquement nautique non sécuritaire pour en profiter.

We love staying at the resort and will stay again. Highly recommend this option for anyone staying on Vancouver Island. We stayed here and drove into Tofino for the day. Very accessible and the views of the lake are beautiful. Love that there were paddle boards and kayaks available for use. The water was so clear.

I was travelling solo and was in the area for work. The location is a little ways out of town. Restaurant at the hotel was closed and most restaurants in town won’t deliver out to the hotel so bit of a pain to drive back in. It’s about 45 minutes round trip which isn’t terrible but after a long day of driving didn’t want to drive in and out. That aside, if I was there for a few days and able to take advantage of the lake and Surrounding outdoor activities it is would have been a great experience I’m sure……the on-site restaurant looks quite nice, but as noted it was closed when I was there. That would have made a positive difference too if it was open. Overall, would I stay there again if I’m town for one night for work - no. Would I stay there if I was in town for a few days and able to enjoy the lake and surrounding area - yes.

What an amazing place to stay. The resort offers stunning views, amazing wildlife watching, lakefront area with docks and free access to activities like kayaking and paddleboarding. Nestled in Vancouver Island with access to Port Alberni and Tofino 1.5hrs drive - absolutely would come back and thank you for an amazing stay!

New... Quaint.... Lodge Rooms are newer, nicely decorated with unique finishings creating a modern cottage/lodge feel. Large dock to enjoy the beautiful Sproat Lake with paddle boards, Kayaks and Canoes for use. Its 1.5 hours from Tofino and 10 minutes to Port Alberni. Property is on a busy road however the Lakeside is quiet. The restaurant was close when we were there (Tuesday).

Great view from the lakeside rooms - lovely balcony to sit on in the evening and watch the light disappear. Very fresh hotel - do note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays through Wednesday, making dinner plans involve a trip back into Port Alberni.

Das Hotel liegt zwar am Highway, ist aber sehr ruhig. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf den See. Die Ausstattung ist modern und sehr neu. Vom Hotel aus kann man gut Richtung Tofino starten.

We loved Sproat Lake Landing. Such a beautiful property! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and came with a spectacular lake view. Check in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful. We also had a lovely dinner in the dining room. Food and service were outstanding. We would love to come back and enjoy this property again.

We arrived at 3.50pm and although the sign on the door said reception was manned between 2and 10pm the door was locked. I called the reception and she abruptly told me check in was at 4pm. Once we actually got to check in 10 minutes later she was very unfriendly! We then realised that the restaurant/bar was closed so we had to drive back 15km into town for food. Very disappointed and would not return.

The hotel itself is extremely nice and the staff was wonderful. However there’s nothing around the area so you need to make the 15 minute drive back to Port Alberni. The hotel restaurant is only open Thursday to Sunday. We were there on Wednesday so there was no place to eat dinner. There is a diner across the street but it’s only open until 4:00.

Amazing location, inmediate and private access to the lake with gorgeous views. The room was nice, however the carpet could use to be cleaned as you can tell it hasn't been washed for a while. Thefood at the restaurant was really good, however they have very few options to chose from. They closed it one day due to lack of staff and it's usually just open for dinner after 5pm. They should have it available from early morning since it's the only place to have something decent to eat besides the coffee store next to the hotel where they only have sandwiches. Staff in general are super nice. The deck to the lake could also use some renovations.

Large and comfortable room with great views over the lake to the mountains beyond. Able to watch wildlife from balcony especially the beavers resident in the water below. The restaurant was not open at all when we were there and the coffee shop is really only a take out.

Nicer than I expected. Great modern spacious rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Restaurant wasn’t open which was a shame as would have been nice to sit on the restaurant veranda under a heater overlooking the lake at night. Free kayaks and life jackets to use which was a nice touch
