Nightmare Honeymoon – Avoid This Hotel! Our honeymoon stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. The hotel was almost impossible to find, with many uneven steps down a hill that make carrying suitcases extremely difficult. Our room was shocking: it smelled bad, the shower was broken, the balcony shutter didn’t work, and the room was never cleaned during our entire 4-night stay. The pool was cold, filthy, and eventually swarmed with insects. The website promised welcome drinks and a fruit platter, which we never received. Wow this place is amazing, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a plunge pool across from our room which was for our use only, this was fantastic. From here you could watch the sunset in the pool or alternatively go into the main area and watch. Just beautiful.

Amazing staff and helpful. Rooms cleaned daily. The sunset view from the hotel was amazing. The only issue was that we couldn’t use the main swimming pool. This should have been specified on expedia while booking.

I would stay away from this property. We were not able to use an amenity (the personal hot pool) due to the heater being broken. It was frigid. The property did nothing to fix this issue throughout the duration of our stay. Having access to a personal hot pool was the primary reason we booked it, and so, it was a complete disappointment. They refused to offer any refund for the lack of amenity use and for not delivering on what they said they offer, which is extremely poor customer service. The breakfast was average, and often arrived cold. There were ants in our room and the 'superior suites' are very tiny.

Great location within walking distance to Oia, in a quiet and safe area. The pool area is beautiful, with some rooms offering pools that overlook the ocean—very boho style and charming. The only downside was the water service: they mentioned they would refill the in-room water bottles daily, but during our two-day stay, this wasn’t done, even after I asked at reception. When we moved to a new room, the same issue happened. Aside from that, the staff was very nice and helpful. If you want to stay close to Oia without splurging, this is a solid option

Beautiful property. We received a fruit platter upon arrival but there is no food in the area this time of year. That was a unfortunate but the fruit and wine at check in helped. The parking lot is a little hard to find. It is off the main road and you should not follow your digital map as you will have to back up a very narrow road from where the hotel is actually located. Unfortunately, no one was answering the reception when we called for location help but they were there when we arrived on foot. Please note the plunge pool is not warm enough in early/mid March but it was very clean and beautiful. We loved our stay here but my comments are to help manage expectations. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast is wonderful. The location does not case the caldera but the view is phenomenal especially at sunset.

Very hard to get to and nobody to help get luggage down to the hotel. The lady with long brown hair was wonderful at check in and throughout the stay. The lady with blond e hair was VERY rude. The overall stay was ok. The shower design is terrible and water goes everywhere in the bathroom. Needs a shower curtain or door. They wouldn’t wash our towels each day as it would cost extra. They had no hand soap in the room so there was nothing to was your hands with. I asked the blonde lady for some hand soap and she said “that’s what we provide shampoo for”. There is also no coffee provided in the room. This was a let down. We also tried to order something from the bar and was told there was nobody there to make us anything. Very unacceptable. The pool water and plunge pool were frigid! Couldn’t enjoy those. Not sure I would stay here again. Views were amazing though.

The location was very good ! Walking distance to the blue churches but the room itself has no ventilation it so wet inside case of the moisture and it’s stinks , I have to leave the windows open all the time and we noticed that the bathroom have black molds .

We did not like the ants in our room. The house keeping wanted to come back in 5 minutes but did not come at all. The staff was friendly. Special thanks to Said and the cook. Excellent!

The hotel accommodation was just perfect for me and my Cousin. We had a great time there and felt very safe. The Hotel Staff and the daily cleaning service was excellent. Our room smelled daily after the cleaning so good, also we became new slippers and new towels when we needed it. They take care of our environment. The breakfast we had was very good too, we had daily the choice to select what we wanted to eat at the next day. All in all I think that the Sophia Boutique Hotel in Finika is perfect for coming down and to relax the soul. The Hotel in Finika is just 10-15 walking minutes away from Oia. At the street is directly the bus station from where you can drove everywhere. We two girls felt very secure there around the neighborhood and came late back daily. The one thing I can also recommend are the restaurants between the alleys in Finika and the Hiking trail from Oia to Fira.

Overall our experience was not great due to the service being not very hospitable, the furnishings old and not kept up, and less clean than expected. Rust on the hinges, black spots on the sink basin, very dirty outdoor lounge cushions. Would expect more for what we paid. The location is also a bit out of the way.

We had difficulty locating the hotel from the main road, since it’s tucked down a hillside across the street from the parking, which had little signage. We stayed in a superior double suite with plunge pool. Our room was very small. No space for clothes or counters/shelves to set items. No room for toiletries. They only change towels every three days. Small fridge but it had stuff in it when we got there. The power went on and off, we were never notified about the issue. Witnessed some uncomfortable and, frankly, unprofessional conversations between staff when we tried to lay out by the big pool. Yelling amongst the staff lasted most of the afternoon. Our corner room had VERY little privacy. The plunge pool was advertised at “private” but the room we stayed in overlooked the entire deck, bar, and reception desk, so we didn’t have any privacy. We found we couldn’t keep any of our doors/windows open without being seen by neighbors or staff. The walls were very thin, we could hear doors open and shut, people talking, other noises from our neighbors. We spent roughly the same price on a hotel on the nearby island, Ios, that was MUCH nicer, which was disappointing for us considering we spent six of our seven nights here. Our biggest complaint was, my expensive headphones were stolen by housekeeping. Fortunately, I was able to track them moving afterward. When I contacted the hotel about this, they ghosted me. We had difficulty locating the hotel from the main road, since it’s tucked down a hillside across the street from the parking, which had little signage. We stayed in a superior double suite with plunge pool. Our room was very small. No space for clothes or counters/shelves to set items. No room for toiletries. They only change towels every three days. Small fridge but it had stuff in it when we got there. The power went on and off, we were never notified about the issue. Witnessed some uncomfortable and, frankly, unprofessional conversations between staff when we tried to lay out by the big pool. Yelling amongst the staff lasted most of the afternoon. Our corner room had VERY little privacy. The plunge pool was advertised at “private” but the room we stayed in overlooked the entire deck, bar, and reception desk, so we didn’t have any privacy. We found we couldn’t keep any of our doors/windows open without being seen by neighbors or staff. The walls were very thin, we could hear doors open and shut, people talking, other noises from our neighbors. We spent roughly the same price on a hotel on the nearby island, Ios, that was MUCH nicer, which was disappointing for us considering we spent six of our seven nights here. Our biggest complaint was, my expensive headphones were stolen by housekeeping. Fortunately, I was able to track them moving afterward. When I contacted the hotel about this, they ghosted me. Overall, very unprofessional and disappointing experience.

Very hard to get to and nobody to help get luggage down to the hotel. The lady with long brown hair was wonderful at check in and throughout the stay. The lady with blond e hair was VERY rude. The overall stay was ok. The shower design is terrible and water goes everywhere in the bathroom. Needs a shower curtain or door. They wouldn’t wash our towels each day as it would cost extra. They had no hand soap in the room so there was nothing to was your hands with. I asked the blonde lady for some hand soap and she said “that’s what we provide shampoo for”. There is also no coffee provided in the room. This was a let down. We also tried to order something from the bar and was told there was nobody there to make us anything. Very unacceptable. The view was beautiful, and there were some pretty features such as the ceiling. Overall our experience was not great due to the service being not very hospitable, the furnishings old and not kept up, and less clean than expected. Rust on the hinges, black spots on the sink basin, very dirty outdoor lounge cushions. Would expect more for what we paid. The location is also a bit out of the way.

We stayed at this hotel last week and overall had a really great experience. The food was especially impressive — everything we tried was delicious and fresh. A big shoutout to the receptionist ladies, who were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Their friendliness really made a difference and added a personal touch.

Sophia boutique Hotel was amazing! Ana was so accommodating, Saeed was beyond helpfull and Costas was amazing. The included breakfast was spot on and on days when we had early tours, they provided a brown bag breakfast option that was amazing.

The stay was wonderful! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, but that wasn’t an issue since there are plenty of fantastic restaurants and cafés in town to choose from. We stayed 6 days. After a while you want something different for breakfast, so it was no fault to the property. One tip for travelers — take the local bus instead of a taxi or private car. The bus is clean, comfortable, and very reliable, costing only about €2 per person each way. In comparison, taxis and private transfers can run between $35–$45 one way, so the bus is definitely the smarter and more budget-friendly option. Altogether, a good trip.

Great location within walking distance to Oia, in a quiet and safe area. The pool area is beautiful, with some rooms offering pools that overlook the ocean—very boho style and charming. The only downside was the water service: they mentioned they would refill the in-room water bottles daily, but during our two-day stay, this wasn’t done, even after I asked at reception. When we moved to a new room, the same issue happened. Aside from that, the staff was very nice and helpful. If you want to stay close to Oia without splurging, this is a solid option

Nightmare Honeymoon – Avoid This Hotel! Our honeymoon stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. The hotel was almost impossible to find, with many uneven steps down a hill that make carrying suitcases extremely difficult. Our room was shocking: it smelled bad, the shower was broken, the balcony shutter didn’t work, and the room was never cleaned during our entire 4-night stay. The pool was cold, filthy, and eventually swarmed with insects. The website promised welcome drinks and a fruit platter, which we never received. We would strongly warn anyone against booking this hotel, especially for a special occasion.

Beautiful property. We received a fruit platter upon arrival but there is no food in the area this time of year. That was a unfortunate but the fruit and wine at check in helped. The parking lot is a little hard to find. It is off the main road and you should not follow your digital map as you will have to back up a very narrow road from where the hotel is actually located. Unfortunately, no one was answering the reception when we called for location help but they were there when we arrived on foot. Please note the plunge pool is not warm enough in early/mid March but it was very clean and beautiful. We loved our stay here but my comments are to help manage expectations. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast is wonderful. The location does not case the caldera but the view is phenomenal especially at sunset.

The hotel accommodation was just perfect for me and my Cousin. We had a great time there and felt very safe. The Hotel Staff and the daily cleaning service was excellent. Our room smelled daily after the cleaning so good, also we became new slippers and new towels when we needed it. They take care of our environment. The breakfast we had was very good too, we had daily the choice to select what we wanted to eat at the next day. All in all I think that the Sophia Boutique Hotel in Finika is perfect for coming down and to relax the soul. The Hotel in Finika is just 10-15 walking minutes away from Oia. At the street is directly the bus station from where you can drove everywhere. We two girls felt very secure there around the neighborhood and came late back daily. The one thing I can also recommend are the restaurants between the alleys in Finika and the Hiking trail from Oia to Fira.

Perfect place to stay for our trip to Santorini! Lovely staff. Area was a bit tucked away from the hustle and bustle, while shopping and dining were an easy walk. Loved it’s easy accessibility to hiking trails as well!

We stayed at this hotel last week and overall had a really great experience. The food was especially impressive — everything we tried was delicious and fresh. A big shoutout to the receptionist ladies, who were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Their friendliness really made a difference and added a personal touch.

I would stay away from this property. We were not able to use an amenity (the personal hot pool) due to the heater being broken. It was frigid. The property did nothing to fix this issue throughout the duration of our stay. Having access to a personal hot pool was the primary reason we booked it, and so, it was a complete disappointment. They refused to offer any refund for the lack of amenity use and for not delivering on what they said they offer, which is extremely poor customer service. The breakfast was average, and often arrived cold. There were ants in our room and the 'superior suites' are very tiny.

Sophia boutique Hotel was amazing! Ana was so accommodating, Saeed was beyond helpfull and Costas was amazing. The included breakfast was spot on and on days when we had early tours, they provided a brown bag breakfast option that was amazing.

The stay was wonderful! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, but that wasn’t an issue since there are plenty of fantastic restaurants and cafés in town to choose from. We stayed 6 days. After a while you want something different for breakfast, so it was no fault to the property. One tip for travelers — take the local bus instead of a taxi or private car. The bus is clean, comfortable, and very reliable, costing only about €2 per person each way. In comparison, taxis and private transfers can run between $35–$45 one way, so the bus is definitely the smarter and more budget-friendly option. Altogether, a good trip.

We enjoyed our couple of days at this hotel. We did run into a few issues with the staff and inflrmation getting lost between people. All and all, it was a nice property and the daily breakfast was the highlight.

Beautiful clean room and private pool space. Excellent location in a quiet area that was only a 15 min walk to Oia and 20 min drive to Thira. Bar staff were wonderful and helpful, always trying to go the extra mile in making our stay special and relaxed. Breakfast was delicious and fresh every day. Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone visiting Santorini.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s very close to Oia, close to restaurants, and has a great view! The breakfasts are amazing! We also enjoyed the private jaccuzi in our room balcony.

O satff era muito gentil, nos ajudou a acessar serviços como aluguel de carro e passeios. Voltou para pousada e Foi nos encontrar a na entrada do hotel. Nos ajudou com as malas e sempre responde rapidamente o WhatsApp. Café da manhã preparado na hora, gostoso com frutas, iogurte grego, café ou chocolate quente, ovo, pão com delicioso queijo feta. E a pessoa que preparava era muito gentil também.

Absolutely terrible experience. This property was nothing like what was advertised and completely ruined what was supposed to be a dream family trip. The TV didn’t work the entire stay, WiFi barely worked, lights were broken or hanging dangerously low from the ceiling, the air conditioning was unreliable, and the sink was completely clogged. The “minibar and refrigerator” turned out to be one tiny overheating mini fridge that had to be unplugged just to use the kettle. There were no utensils, no dishes, and no wardrobe despite it being listed in the booking. The private pool was dirty, pool lights didn’t work, and the jets only worked occasionally. The whole place felt neglected and poorly maintained. The worst part was the complete lack of staff and communication. After 5pm the place became a ghost town. Messages and emails were ignored for days. My daughter had an allergic reaction and we urgently needed ice, but there was nobody anywhere to help us. Other guests were also walking around trying to find staff because nobody could get assistance. During our stay we saw multiple guests leave within 24 hours because they were so unhappy, and new guests arriving who couldn’t even check in properly and were extremely annoyed trying to find someone to help them. We were also given false information about taxis accepting card payments, which left us stranded with no cash. This was honestly one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve ever had.
