Travel Inn Bristol near State St

It is full of migrates and section 8 housing. Rooms are dirty and discussing. The outside has trash every where. Lack of upkeep is telling as soon as you pull in. Plus they said we never paid through you so we left. So now I have $109 is limbo between you and them. Which is complete bs because they wanted me to pay full amount again. Do not recommend this place and should be off your travel list

No shower curtain, no towels, no pillow covers. Not as described on site. No pool and no breakfast as offered. Not a place for children or families. If your looking for a place to just rest your head for the night then thats the only thing you will get out of staying there.

They may be under construction but the place is literally a dump! The pictures that are listed on Hotels.com absolutely do not match what we walked into. Not sure if they advertise a pool, but it is now a grass pit. The area and place itself is a little sketchy! I would not recommend.

Need some accurate pictures of the rooms (didnt stay long enough to take any) pictures made it look waaaay nicer/cleaner than it actually was.

Price was very economical, but you’re only buying a bed for the night… breakfast was advertised , but not available. Room was clean, but showing signs of age.. Fine for one night of inexpensive sleep, but not much more to recommend…

Would not recommend. For the price you think you would at least find the room clean. The microwave and refrigerator were filthy and the fridge had an odor. The bed was made but i feel that is all they did to "clean" the room. There was hair on the bathroom sink, and the shower was disgusting. The paint was peeling from the tub. The only good thing was there was hot water. We stayed in the back building and there were people who were living there with trash and clutter outside their rooms.

It was terrible. The rooms are run down and the parking lot is full of old appliances. The rooms are not clean at all. Worst experience.

The place is not anywhere I would want my dog to stay in. No pool on the property it had been filled with dirt sometime ago. Took 6 hours to fix the Door, the refrigerator and the tv. Mold in the bathroom and dirty sheets. Oh I forgot about the roaches Everywhere when you turned on the lights at night!

The property was NOT what is pictured on the website, nor do they have the amenities listed on the website. The rooms are very dirty & in disrepair! The only good thing I can say is that the water was hot & the refrigerator stayed cold. There was no pool as the website states, it is filled with dirt & covered with grass! There was old furniture stacked up out front at the office, where the ice machine is pictured to be. As well there is no free breakfast. The space next door is a smoke shop that has VERY unsavory people coming & going. The first room they gave us didn’t even have a security lock on the door. Needless to say we did NOT find this place worthy of the money they charged!

It was filthy and noisy. Saw a couple drug deals going down in parking lot. No lightbulb in lamp in room. I left early after being in room for couple hours. I informed staff of situation before leaving.

The bed was clean, but the room was in very poor condition as far as decor and general structure. The main reason for my poor rating is that this room had roaches. It was a smoking room and I didn’t mind the smell, but the bug situation made it almost impossible to sleep. The bed sheets may have been clean, but these bugs were in between the sheets and the comforter, and it made it almost impossible to feel comfortable enough in that room to sleep, and they were also crawling around in the bathtub. The person that greeted us when we checked in was a very sweet person and made a comment about the fact that the previous owners hadn’t done a lot that the right on the room was low and that’s the main reason that we stayed there to save money, but I’m not into bugs.

the bed frame had brown stains on it ( like dried blood ) smokey smell to room towels had black streaks on them. the staff did give me a heads up about the room stating they were under new ownership and going through changes. ended up not staying at this property

Found a few bugs in my room.

Did not look like the pictures online, unfinished drywall, some of the lights didn’t work, and bathroom was not the same as in the picture and the bathroom was gross. We went in and came right back out because how bad it was!

The bed was comfortable and the desk clerk was friendly. The hotel was nasty. Stairs hadn’t been swept in weeks bathroom was filthy and the wash cloths were stained. Floor of bathroom and bathtub were not clean. The desk chairs were very worn and stained. I will not stay here again. Hotel needs a total make over.

The front desk staff were very polite and helpful, but it was an awful experience overall. Paid for 2 nights and only stayed for 1. Killed two cockroaches the minute we walked in the door. The walls looked like they had blood splattered on them. The sheets had stuff on them and I wondered if they had been changed. The safety lock on the door was broken and we did not feel safe. There was a person next door blasting music with a huge confederate flag hanging on their wall and plastic covering their sheets....I seriously thought I was in a horror movie. Now maybe you understand why we drove 4.5hrs home in the middle of the night and willingly gave up what we paid, instead of staying there for 1 more night. NEVER STAY HERE.

It was nasty and stunk like it had never been cleaned, I walked in and there was roaches on the wall , the walls had holes, ceiling was falling down and bathroom tub was peeling up like someone tried to paint it. The bed was dirty and had burnt holes in them, it also looks like people may live there full time. We actually took a loss and book a room at the holiday inn in Johnson City .This room cost me $ 400.00 and was not refundable , I do not recommend this place and my opinion is that it should not be opened for business.

Upon arrival the woman in the office went out on a break so I was standing outside for 20 minutes waiting to check in and possibly discuss a cancellation which they do not do. The room was in okay state but there were holes in the bedding and the bathroom sink was quite dirty. Then around 10 PM when I was trying to sleep there were people and children sitting right underneath my the balcony in front of my room until midnight when I finally called the office to tell them these people needed be quite. I would not recommend staying here. The price was not worth the stay and I understand that there is up charge for people who were not affected by the hurricane but after reading other reviews it seems that the up charge doesn’t matter. My room was okay but the environment around it was my main issue. People should not be playing music, letting the children scream and pacing all along the first and second floor until midnight. I had people directly outside my room for a time period with lack of consideration for others but I will say the second I called the front office they spoke with them and it became more silent. My room was okay but I wouldn’t play roulette and end up getting one in worse condition. I have stayed at many motels so I didn’t have a huge issue but if you like cleanliness don’t stay here.

Older renovated property in a downtown area near shops, entertainment, and good roads. Clean, good staff, renovated at some point, needs a bit of TLC as my sink area floor had a big chip that would cut a bare foot. My door safety lock was missing. No elevator that I saw. An exterior update is needed - it screams mid-century.

I’ve stayed in some low budget motels, but this was absolutely horrible. Filthy rooms, clogged sink, no towels, and it’s super loud at night…that’s when all the locals and drug addicts decide to party. I asked to move to a different room (at 2 am) because of loud music in one room, a dog barking in another, people outside on the catwalk partying and yelling. The staff told me that all the rooms have the same problem. It’s loud no matter where you stay. What a joke.

The smoke and smells infiltrated my room causing me to feel sick (coughs and feeling/sounding congested. I mentioned it to the staff and asked for a refund since I had no choice, for my health sake, to check out which was the same day I checked in. They refused to give me a refund, not even a partial. I contacted hotels.com since that’s where I reserved the room. They called the Inn and was told I can’t get a refund. 😡. However, hotels.com said they would gladly give me a refund but it was ultimately in the hands of the Inn!!!!!!! I went back to the office to talk all this thru, still no refund!!! My stay was to be from Sunday - Wednesday. Not cool I had to sleep in my car over all of this!!!!! 😡😡😡😡

Smoke alarm ripped off the wall, giant hand print on the headboard, mold and ceiling water damage in the bathroom.. surprised the ceiling is still up. Nasty recliner in the room. Walking distance to hard rock, relatively quiet. Would never stay again.

I really didn’t expect much, but it would have been nice to have a working remote control for the tv. The beds were hard, but the pillows were comfy.

The fact that the rooms were nothing like in the picture and the people hanging around outside didn't have me feeling safe and then my room had a door separating it from the room next to mine with flimsy latches and the door knob was just hanging.

The first thing I did upon entering the room was kill a bug on the pillow on the bed. When I tried to turn the TV on, nothing happened and when I investigated, found a hole in the wall where the outlet should have been but wasn't. When I went to shower in the morning, the bathroom/shower was full of small flies that I attempted to swat away so I could rinse off (there was no soap). The surrounding area and property were very poorly kept, and other guests were loud outside on their balcony.

We checked in didn’t stay the rooms were nasty ran down over all condition it needs to be taken off ur site should be refunded full amount 600 and needs to be taken off ur site very disappointed so far haven’t had no luck on getting a refund very bad hotel do not recommend at all should be shut down I wouldn’t let my dog stay here

We requested a bottom floor because gas was handicapped we were not giving a body for. The room was dirty the bathtub was slimy had no shower curtain no toilet paper and no toiletries. Also during the night another guess at OD'd and management didn't call the police but allowed it to be handled in house. Noise until 3:00 a.m. in the morning outside. No TV until 11:00 p.m.

This hotel is the most nosiest I have ever seen. I stated that I was a single mom with a 3 year old son with autism and suggested a room off to myself due to my son having episodes of screaming. I had people wondering by my window and watching everybody that came to visit me. I never saw the cleaning crew one time. I was refused fresh linen and towels and rags. I had an some issues with a friend and my dog these people threatened to call the law on me and the pound to take my dog. The last day because my son has separation anxiety he screams and cries I had a friend watch him while I went downstairs and to the store the room next door called and stayed I had left my son alone in the room their was like 6 people that worked here come knock on my door while I was at the store to find my son was in the room with my friend and son the most disrespectful disregarding people I have ever met to be threatened with the law twice and calling the pound on my dog. I can understand a concern for a child but I shouldn't be looking out my window with several of the staff members standing by listening and watching my room or harassing me when I walk out my room when there's so much more going on in different rooms. I would not ever recommend this hotel room to anybody this hotel being called fed in is an understatement but if you like being watched constantly people sta ding outside your room listening being threatened with the law enforcement then by all means stay

Front desk clerk was amazing

Rooms were clean. Shower was hot and had excellent flow. Staff catered to our late night request for a roll away bed. Staff was friendly; small talk.

The staff were kind and helpful. As an inexperienced traveler, I really appreciated their support.

Room was nothing special but it was clean and it was cheaper than anywhere else we could find. Staff was very nice and very helpful. Area seemed a little sketchy though. Pretty sure some of the people in the hotel were actually living there.
