Our time at Mad River Inn was incredible from start to finish. Brandon and Susannah were extremely helpful and gracious hosts . They greeted us at the door and attended to every need we had from snacks, to restaurant and shopping recommendations, to a brief history of the property. Some special highlights of the experience included the hottub, gameroom, unlimited tea, extremely comfortable king bed, and delicious, decadent home-cooked breakfasts. I would absolutely recommend Mad River Inn to any traveler staying in this area of Vermont. 100/10!

Great breakfasts! The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. They have a formal living room and a game room in the basement. They live in the house with their 2 young children who play in the living room after dinner. They were very cute.

The property was so genuine both in terms of the acreage and space outside, as well as the authenticity of the 1860's building, inside. The host and hostess were incredibly engaged with the guests and offered information about the property, building, and surrounding area points of interest. The breakfast was amazing with both a savory and sweet option daily as well homemade afternoon snack. We felt completely at home and well taken care of. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Suzanna and Brandon were wonderful hosts. The inn is comfortable and provided many amenities like game room, hot tub, and fire pit. Daily baked goods smell delicious and breakfast each morning was wonderful! Our hosts had great recommendations of things to do in the area and were lovely to chat with. We were visiting for a wedding in Waitsfield and were very happy staying local rather than in one of the other cities!

The hosts were terrific. My bed was dreamy. Plenty of hot water in the shower with good pressure. Breakfast was different and fabulous every day. I had a wonderful 4 night stay.

We booked a stay here at the beginning of October. The hosts were so welcoming, and gave us ideas of where to explore in the area. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and so cosy. Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning, and the choices were delicious. There were freshly baked cookies daily, and other complimentary snacks I’d definitely return in a heartbeat

This was a charming inn in the countryside of Vermont with beautiful mountains and valleys. Excellent location in the Mad River Valley to explore the small towns surrounding it!! Historic charm and very accommodating hosts. Friendly service. They are very Informative. Great breakfast as a bonus!! We would definitely recommend and would go back.

The property was so genuine both in terms of the acreage and space outside, as well as the authenticity of the 1860's building, inside. The host and hostess were incredibly engaged with the guests and offered information about the property, building, and surrounding area points of interest. The breakfast was amazing with both a savory and sweet option daily as well homemade afternoon snack. We felt completely at home and well taken care of. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Suzanna and Brandon were wonderful hosts. The inn is comfortable and provided many amenities like game room, hot tub, and fire pit. Daily baked goods smell delicious and breakfast each morning was wonderful! Our hosts had great recommendations of things to do in the area and were lovely to chat with. We were visiting for a wedding in Waitsfield and were very happy staying local rather than in one of the other cities!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very friendly and interesting, the breakfasts and afternoon snacks delicious, with a huge selection of teas! The bedroom, though quite small, was very comfortable and the bathroom modern and very clean. There is a comfortable sitting room and in the basement a game room with pool table. You can have wine and beer too! It is located about a mile from Waitsfield Center which has many restaurants and cafes, interesting shops and art studios.

The location is great with easy access to Stowe and Waterbury close by with great restaurants. Our room was comfortable and cosy - a fantastic place to stay for a weekend away

Our time at Mad River Inn was incredible from start to finish. Brandon and Susannah were extremely helpful and gracious hosts . They greeted us at the door and attended to every need we had from snacks, to restaurant and shopping recommendations, to a brief history of the property. Some special highlights of the experience included the hottub, gameroom, unlimited tea, extremely comfortable king bed, and delicious, decadent home-cooked breakfasts. I would absolutely recommend Mad River Inn to any traveler staying in this area of Vermont. 100/10!

The hosts were terrific. My bed was dreamy. Plenty of hot water in the shower with good pressure. Breakfast was different and fabulous every day. I had a wonderful 4 night stay.

We booked a stay here at the beginning of October. The hosts were so welcoming, and gave us ideas of where to explore in the area. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and so cosy. Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning, and the choices were delicious. There were freshly baked cookies daily, and other complimentary snacks I’d definitely return in a heartbeat

This is an amazing Inn (Bed and Breakfast) that we stayed at. The two owners, Brandon and Susannah, are amazing and generous hosts, with homemade cookies (yum!), breakfast and many other amenities on site. They also gave excellent recommendations, not just for the local area but also for the rest of our holiday in the USA. My partner and I absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home.

A relaxing stay from start to finish. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and breakfast was a highlight. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and gave great suggestions. The hot tub was a huge bonus after a day of skiing. Highly recommend!
