Very clean and recently painted bathroom. The bed pillows were truly awful, though. We liked the vibe - a very 80s family vacation vibe with big log buildings, a funny game room with pool table and air hockey and 1980s floral furniture. Had a hot tub and a nice outdoor area. We could unfortunately hear the room above us quite well. No coffee in the room, but there was a coffee available on site. Technically had balconies on some rooms, but the smoking area was near the outdoor spaces and made them unusable.

As we tried to check in at 2 pm which it states on the website we were told check-in was 3pm. When we finally checked in we had to sign an agreement that we would not smoke or have any pets in our room. When we went to our room there was a family directly above us, who looked as though they might be living there, had a barking dog. We were told in an email from the facility that we were to call 24 hours before we checked in which when we called they questioned us why we called. Just confusing as to the requirements about staying here and what really is expected.

It was quiet and rustic. I would have given it an excellent review but we stayed 3 nights and our room was never serviced. A quick vacuum and bathroom refresh would have been much appreciated. A new ice bag for the bucket would have been welcomed daily. I had to ask for more clean towels at the office and then they asked for me to go get the dirty ones. They did follow me for towel exchange. They left a tip envelope for the maid service but I’m not sure what we were tipping for as we received no maid service. It may have been that we needed to ask for it, but there were no signs indicating that. I will stay again as it is very close to the Grafton County nursing home where my Mother now resides. It was exceptionally clean and the jacuzzi was relaxing!
