This hotel was under renovation, and this caused some minor inconveniences during my stay. There was only one elevator working. I had to wait several times to get an elevator to go to my room or the lobby. The ice maker on my floor was broken, so I had to go up two floors to get ice. During the breakfast time in the morning, there was very limited seating for everyone that was eating breakfast. I took my food to my room, but had to wait a long time to get an elevator, so my food was not hot when I got back to the room. It would have been nice to know ahead of my stay that the hotel was undergoing renovations.

The entire staff was friendly and courteous. The facility appeared to be clean. However, the wallpaper was peeling in the sleeping area of the room and the toilet paper holder was about to fall off the wall. Rather than furnish bar soap, there was a body wash dispenser at the lavatory and another in the shower. One pump in the shower and it was empty. We had placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door for about 45 minutes and evidently that was long enough to miss out on getting the room serviced. The front desk quickly got me towels and soap when I asked. Although we had an overall good experience, there was a general inattention to detail. Also, be aware the only ice machine is located on the 2nd floor.

The hotel was under renovation when we arrived without any prior notification. No carpet in the lobby and construction debris around the outside of the hotel. Room bathroom was not in great shape. We were also informed that breakfast would be grab and go. Glad we are only staying one night.

Convenient location, large rooms, friendly staff. However the hotel was going through renovations so it was very dirty in the lobby and elevator areas. The workmanship of the renovation was mediocre at best. Very sloppy work, toilet paper holder falling out of wall, grout everywhere on the tile and shower pan. I would definitely not have paid for their work. Paint everywhere I could have done a better job than they were doing.

Kinda dated . The shower door was wonky ! The toilet was hard to flush the usb boxes didn’t work on the nightstand they were broken so I had to charge phone by tv Bed was comfy enough . It was ‘clean’ nothing amazing they were doing construction and that was a little hard but they worked it out great . The desk people were helpful but didn’t ask us about cleaning as we were there 3 days 2 nights . The best was the breakfast it was the best continental ever !! Hands down .the elevator was very slow we had a handicapped person so it was hard to do steps !pool was good ! So overall it’s my favorite place when we come here .

We checked in around 7pm and had a great time that night. Took the kids swimming, pool was decent but 95 degrees in there. Better bring a towel because the towels they offer wouldn't cover my 6 year old. Thats when the problems started. We booked the double queen bed suite. 4 kids 2 adults. 3 younger kids on one bed and my teenager on the couch. They didnt have extra bedding in the room for the pull out or even a sheet to cover it. Walked down to the front desk and she had no clue where to look for sheets. So we had to pull stuff off of our beds to get her settled. Then the lady told us breakfast ended around 10am the next morning. WRONG! We spent the extra money to make sure we had a decent breakfast and we got down there at 9:30am on the dot. Just in time for them to close the door on us and not let my 4 kids eat. Considering I saw how much food was left over, shame on them. If I had just not looked at the time and breakfast was over and we missed it I wouldn't have been so upset. The night shift lady told us "around 10" she apparently had no clue.

The first night, 6/8/24, we were getting ready for bed around 11 p.m. only to discover our room 115 infested with bed bugs. The front desk attendant offered us a full refund and offered to call around to see if any other nearby hotels had any rooms available for five people. We accepted the refund (no documentation given). We went straight to the Ramada because the front desk attendant told us they had rooms available (this was midnight) because the Comfort Inn was not answering. We just wanted to get out of there and went straight to the Ramada Hotel, about 3 minutes away. The Ramada was entirely run down and short-staffed. We had to wait almost an hour to get a roll-out bed, bedding, and extra towels bc the room only had two queen-sized beds. The towels were still damn from not being thoroughly dried. We didn't get to bed until about 2 am. We were so disappointed with the entire lodging experience that we cut our trip short, checked out that morning, and drove back home (6-7hr drive) We are back home now 6/10/24 and have to hire an exterminator.

When I took a shower my bare feet "bled" muddy water. This means the room rug was so soiled that my bare feet had become filthy duing the very few mintues I had been barefoot in the room. I've only ever seen this from hotels with outside hallways. I was shocked that the carpet could be so soiled. On the other hand, my room was perfectly quiet. It was away from the the highway but even on the highway side in the lobby and at breakfast etc it seemed perfectly quiet.

I want to first say I rate hotels based on your ratings. So, if you are a two start hotel, I give lenience on the condition of the hotel. This Holiday Inn Express is rated as a 3-star hotel. Therefore, I would expect more. Our room was nice, and the bed was comfortable, the staff was excellent. WE got in after midnight and they were just awesome in getting us checked in and to bed in minutes. However, the shower was gross. I had to take a washcloth and wash the floor. It came back brown and black. There was mold growing around the soap dispenser and the cracks in the caulking, when I rubbed the wash cloth over them, it came right off. So, someone was not cleaning. The wallpaper in our room was coming down. Like I said, for a two star, I probably would say anything, but you are a three star hotel. There were several shabby things. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the elevators were rusting on the walls. Just housekeeping things that should have been taken care of for the price you pay for a three-star hotel.

The hotel room is big with a lot of empty space. Wish they would have used that extra space to make the bathrooms bigger. The bathrooms need some serious cleaning and maintenance. It was very hot last week when we were there and lots of humidity, but something was just not right in the hotel room. Everything felt damp. I wanted to go to store to buy Damp Aid. Staff was nice and breakfast was good.

Our room 220 had only 5 channels on TV it just says no signal, Bathroom door lock is broken and the toilet paper holder was almost completely broken off the wall.

The room was likely recently remodeled so it didn't look old but they took shortcuts so it was cheaply done. No carpeting so the floor wasn't comfortable to walk on. The door on the bathroom rubbed on the flooring so it was hard to open/close at the halfway point. No curtains, just a cheap shade. Very disappointing for $205/night. The room was clean though. The breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly. In comparison with the other hotels we have been staying in while in Kentucky, it should be $125/night at best. I would not stay there again unless they lowered the price.
The room was likely recently remodeled so it didn't look old but they took shortcuts so it was cheaply done. No carpeting so the floor wasn't comfortable to walk on. The door on the bathroom rubbed on the flooring so it was hard to open/close at the halfway point. No curtains, just a cheap shade. Very disappointing for $205/night. The room was clean though. The bed was very comfortable. The floor in the room was cold ceramic tile. Hard and not comfortable. The bathroom needed some update - the toilet rocked back and forth (needs to be bolted to the floor better), the toilet paper holder was not secure to the wall. No where to hang towels, shower silicone is discoloring so it looks dirty. Stay was not worth what we paid.

The Staff for courteous the entry lobby was clean. The room lacked places to hang towels the shower leaked, and the shower door glass panel was not secure, and the walls and the finish was horrible along with the elevators were not clean. Water pressure was lacking and the water in the shower was tepid at best. I notice the usb plug in next to the bed were broken.

I usually stay at this Holiday Express for the last 2 years approximately every 3 -4 months. They have updated the rooms. Love the new floors but the lights behind tv and bed are a waste of their money. You can’t turn them off so you will not have a complete dark room. And the bathroom needs the same update in shower caulking as rest of room. Had to change rooms for reason of shower and bed lights were extremely bright and coffee maker did not work. Got moved to another room and in this room the bed lights were flickering… no way to turn off. Disappointed.

We checked in around 7pm and had a great time that night. Took the kids swimming, pool was decent but 95 degrees in there. Better bring a towel because the towels they offer wouldn't cover my 6 year old. Thats when the problems started. We booked the double queen bed suite. 4 kids 2 adults. 3 younger kids on one bed and my teenager on the couch. They didnt have extra bedding in the room for the pull out or even a sheet to cover it. Walked down to the front desk and she had no clue where to look for sheets. So we had to pull stuff off of our beds to get her settled. Then the lady told us breakfast ended around 10am the next morning. WRONG! We spent the extra money to make sure we had a decent breakfast and we got down there at 9:30am on the dot. Just in time for them to close the door on us and not let my 4 kids eat. Considering I saw how much food was left over, shame on them. If I had just not looked at the time and breakfast was over and we missed it I wouldn't have been so upset. The night shift lady told us "around 10" she apparently had no clue.

Everything was as expected for my stay. The hotel was nice, the staff treated me well, and my room was clean. It's out of Holiday Inns control, but the hotel is the only property on the street that is upkept. The other properties are in various stages of urban decay.

This hotel was under renovation, and this caused some minor inconveniences during my stay. There was only one elevator working. I had to wait several times to get an elevator to go to my room or the lobby. The ice maker on my floor was broken, so I had to go up two floors to get ice. During the breakfast time in the morning, there was very limited seating for everyone that was eating breakfast. I took my food to my room, but had to wait a long time to get an elevator, so my food was not hot when I got back to the room. It would have been nice to know ahead of my stay that the hotel was undergoing renovations.

The hotel was under renovation when we arrived without any prior notification. No carpet in the lobby and construction debris around the outside of the hotel. Room bathroom was not in great shape. We were also informed that breakfast would be grab and go. Glad we are only staying one night.

Kinda dated . The shower door was wonky ! The toilet was hard to flush the usb boxes didn’t work on the nightstand they were broken so I had to charge phone by tv Bed was comfy enough . It was ‘clean’ nothing amazing they were doing construction and that was a little hard but they worked it out great . The desk people were helpful but didn’t ask us about cleaning as we were there 3 days 2 nights . The best was the breakfast it was the best continental ever !! Hands down .the elevator was very slow we had a handicapped person so it was hard to do steps !pool was good ! So overall it’s my favorite place when we come here .

When we went to check in, it took 15 minutes and 2 phone calls for anyone to materialize and help us. The toilet paper hanger in our room was missing and there was a large hole in the wall where it had once been. The entire shower knob/valve assembly was loose and seemed like it would fall out at any moment. After our second night, we were waiting out front to meet friends and 3 of the staff were outside for 45 minutes smoking and come to find out at least one was the attendant taking care of the breakfast buffet. That might explain why the pancake maker didn’t work. I paid a premium over other brands of motels because I was under the impression that Holiday Inns were better than the others, unfortunately, I was mistaken. I think I will go back to saving money by staying in other brands of motel’s.
