Fantastic location, great staff, great restaurant. The only negatives were: 1. All the ice stations were not working 2. Coffee in lobby (brewed coffee) only available in the morning 3. Suite had TV in bedrooms but not in living area. Overall great experience

Bluebird Ocean Point was a great location for a quiet getaway. Beautiful water views and nice amenities including lots of adirondack chairs and tables from which to take in the sunset, a nice pool, games (pool, cornhole, giant jenga, horseshoes...) and firepits. The staff were fantastic and the restaurant had very good food at moderate prices. The rooms are clean and comfortable and generally in good shape. The downsides were very minor, including a sticky sliding door and a somewhat loud AC. We look forward to coming back again.

Parking secure, somewhat difficult to find parking during supper hour. Wonderful room! King bed, porch with rockers was so beautiful and tranquil. Always felt safe, very nice property. Heated outdoor pool, fantastic view of sunsets. Clean room, comfy, staff incredibly attentive.

This reservation price was supposed to include all fees and taxes but we were charged a resort fee when we got there. For use of the pool and outdoor chairs and I don't know what else. We were there for one night and charged the same amount as other guests staying a week or longer. We did not use any of these things and didn't plan to being there for one night.

Checked into a two bedroom two bath suite with porch. Lovely decor and accommodations. Modern bed and decor, firm but comfortable mattresses. Master room with ocean view and porch had two queen beds and smaller room was in the back of the suite with a full bed. Liked how each had a bathroom. The sitting room was not used at all, it's a dark room with a full kitchen and just had a couch and table. Kitchen and fridge was so useful. Coffee in the main lodge was a nice touch and dinner on site was good. Breakfast on site was excellent. Friendly staff. Views were amazing. Long pier to walk out on at night. Pool area was nice, pool is not heated. My only criticism is there is only one fire pit to accommodate the whole resort. Each night the same people got down there before it was lit and stayed the whole time. It would be so helpful to have multiple fire pits along that area so more guests could enjoy the nighttime overlooking the water. Overall it was the beginning of the season so it was quiet. The general store down the way 5 minutes is only open on certain days but has excellent breakfast sandwiches. We drove each night into town and never had an issue with parking.

The location is spectacular with a terrific walk to the point right out the front door. It sits directly on the ocean and you can walk down the pier and swim off the dock. Lobster boats picking up their traps in the morning fog was great. All that being said my room was very expensive and even more booking through Expedia. When I asked why the receipt they gave me on checkout was $250 less than what I paid booking through Expedia they said that's how Expedia makes money. My receipt was $650, Expedia charged me $907 for 2 nights. The beds were super comfortable but they obviously just painted over places that really needed to be replaced or repaired. The deck had boards that sunk down when you stepped on them, the bathroom door had the old paint showing through in big blotches, the bathroom fan was incredibly noisy.

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful stay! The hotel is situated on a quiet stretch of East Boothbay, about 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Boothbay Harbor. Hotel has a fantastic restaurant on the property serving delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a bustling bar, fire pits, lawn games and even s’mores! Hotel offers quaint cottages to rent, has a beautiful pool and free parking! Very happy with our stay!

The view driving up is lovely; unfortunately, we were a bit let down otherwise. They turned us away from the restaurant as I think a wedding party was taking up a lot of their efforts. We went to the grocery store to get dinner. On top of that, parking was limited and we parked in the second of their two alternate options, which we believe was over the septic. The room was a bit smaller than I expected and the power lines somewhat marred the view. On top of that, communication was excessive- for example, I’ve received 3 texts from them today and we checked out this morning.

We had a wonderful stay! The view from the ocean front room was absolutely gorgeous even when there was nothing but fog to look at. A couple of things I’d like to point out: the mattress was tilted significantly towards the headboard and was quite uncomfortable; there was some mildew or mold on the ceiling in the bathroom; unable to open the windows.

If it wasn’t for the view, I’d give it one star. Perfectly located on the coast with some Adirondacks to sit in to have a cup of coffee or read a book. I’ve already told the property directly they should not have been renting out my room. My room was on the second floor accessible through an outside door, the common area had not been vacuumed in forever, and there was caked in mud and hair likely there all summer. The room was unfinished with spackled unfinished walls, hole in the wall where an outlet used to be, the heat and AC turn on at the same time, and a poorly draining shower- not clogged but the floor is sloped wrong. A king size bed was shoved in the room, with no room to walk around the sides of the bed such that I have bruises on my shins. Multiple old guests Netflix accounts are still logged in? I appreciate it having a hot water kettle in the room. That’s it. I’ll go somewhere else next time

A lot of mold on the bathroom floor from water damage. There were random objects left under the bed, like a dirty hair brush, and a spring and screw that my toddler could have easily put in his mouth. The lock on my door was broken which made me feel very unsafe. The overall communication with dunning staff was disappointing, very rude and unprofessional. Food was always cold and disappointing. Would not recommend.

It's right on the water. Updated and very clean rooms. It was nice having a restaurant right in the motel for three meals a day. Wonderful location. Would definitely stay here again.

Location and water views really good, staffing cordial, room was old and needed upgrading, mold in bathroom, lighting was poor, pool and restaurant appeared nice but we didn’t use. Mildly disappointed overall, especially for the cost of the room.

This is a property with very nice view. We had a cottage named Dory and another room in the building near sea kist cottage.Rooms were very clean and bed was cosy. The view was amazing and the staffs were friendly.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay vary clean comfortable. The staff there is awesome making sure you have everything you need. The view from the rooms are spectacular. Would definitely stay there again.

Wry overpriced for value. Advertised private balcony, not private. Outside porch chairs covered with pollen and spider webs. Room uncomfortably small. Bathroom so small one could not sit on the toilet except sideways with knees in the doorway. Toilet was moldy. There was hair in the bed. Only one chair for two people. Inadequate room between wall and bed. Bed leg sticks into narrow walkway and caused repeated banging of shins. There is no cable tv. Streaming froze often making it impossible to watch. Called for help with tv to be told yeah, everyone complains about it. On the other hand, the food was good. We deserve a full refund.

We had a wonderful stay! The view from the ocean front room was absolutely gorgeous even when there was nothing but fog to look at. A couple of things I’d like to point out: the mattress was tilted significantly towards the headboard and was quite uncomfortable; there was some mildew or mold on the ceiling in the bathroom; unable to open the windows.

Excellent ocean views. Friendly staff, especially the breakfast staff. Continental breakfast is $15. Water from faucet didn’t get warm in morning until you turned on shower. Wi-Fi is very spotty. They charge a daily resort fee, which I assume pays for heated pool and fire pits, neither of which we used.

Parking secure, somewhat difficult to find parking during supper hour. Wonderful room! King bed, porch with rockers was so beautiful and tranquil. Always felt safe, very nice property. Heated outdoor pool, fantastic view of sunsets. Clean room, comfy, staff incredibly attentive.

This is the second time that I've stayed at this Ocean Point Hotel. I really enjoyed my first stay—which occurred before the hotel changed ownership. The local is wonderful—that hasn’t changed, but the rooms changed from light and airy to dark and gloomy. The furniture in the hotel room I stayed in changed from light and in the spirit of maritime New England, to under lit, with a black ceiling and modern furniture that was uncomfortable and a bit dangerous. The lighting was woefully inadequate—low level lighting via wall sconces at the head of the beds and a single light bulb in the ceiling that was of low wattage. We tried to heat water for tea and the area where the kettle was situated was so dark that we couldn’t see to pour the water and ended up spilling it. The bed platforms extend beyond the mattresses and making it far too easy to bang one’s shins. There was a corner banquette in my room with a pedestal table. Unfortunately , the pedestal wasn’t weighted sufficiently to anchor the table and a slight bump caused my tea to spill. The shower door covers only half the shower—causing much of the water to spill into the bathroom. I won’t stay here again, but I may drive out to the restaurant as the restaurant food is really excellent and the view was superb. The bartender was extremely pleasant and provided great service as we were seated at the bar for dinner.

Bathroom so small one could not sit on the toilet except sideways with knees in the doorway. Toilet was moldy. There was hair in the bed. Only one chair for two people. Inadequate room between wall and bed. Bed leg sticks into narrow walkway and caused repeated banging of shins. There is no cable tv. Streaming froze often making it impossible to watch. Called for help with tv to be told yeah, everyone complains about it. On the other hand, the food was good. We deserve a full refund.

The bed was not comfortable, the bathroom was small and had only a half shower door allowing water to spill on the floor. Menu items were over-priced for portion size. View was beautiful and staff were polite, professional and responsive.

The hotel is located in a nice quite beautiful area, and it is well taken care of. The restaurant on the premises is very expensive. There is a pool, and it is very pleasant. The rooms are clean and modern. However, they lack adequate light, and are very dark. Since several rooms share the same deck, we had to keep curtains down, which made the room even more dark during the day. Also, the internet service is poor. The personnel is very nice and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay, room was very comfortable. Everything about it pillows bed the area beautiful view is beautiful sunset it was definitely worth the price. What I found on unprofessional. They do not answer the phone. You have to leave a message. I called twice neither time they called me back . Also, the parking is just terrible especially check in time. No easy parking for check-in.

What a little gem in Maine! We stayed here in late June with a group of 17 family members and everyone had a great stay. The views from the resort are stunning, the rooms are small but well appointed, the restaurant is great, and the service was top notch! Jimmy was especially great and went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of! If you are looking for a quiet place that screams coastal Maine, this is your place!

A lot of mold on the bathroom floor from water damage. There were random objects left under the bed, like a dirty hair brush, and a spring and screw that my toddler could have easily put in his mouth. The lock on my door was broken which made me feel very unsafe. The overall communication with dunning staff was disappointing, very rude and unprofessional. Food was always cold and disappointing. Would not recommend.

The location is amazing but there were some things that could’ve been better. First off, when we arrived at 4 pm to check in, we were told the room wasn’t ready yet and it didn’t end up being ready until about 5:30 which was very disappointing. During this time however, the bartender was amazing and so nice and hospitable. When we finally did get our room, there was some noticeable things. First, there was still blue tape on some areas on the wall, there were some holes in the ceiling that were hastily covered up and the outlets had no covers, and especially in the bathroom this can be very dangerous. On the other hand, the room was very clean so that was nice. The location and cleanliness definitely gave it a boost but they definitely could’ve done better.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay vary clean comfortable. The staff there is awesome making sure you have everything you need. The view from the rooms are spectacular. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a beautiful and romantic cottage-like room in a small building right on the water, with a harbor view from the window. The property is in a neighborhood of vacation homes, so there are plenty of safe places to stroll, including some perfect sunset/sunrise spots that were an easy walk from our room. And a little porch/veranda right outside our room to relax and view the harbor.

Bluebird Ocean Point was a great location for a quiet getaway. Beautiful water views and nice amenities including lots of adirondack chairs and tables from which to take in the sunset, a nice pool, games (pool, cornhole, giant jenga, horseshoes...) and firepits. The staff were fantastic and the restaurant had very good food at moderate prices. The rooms are clean and comfortable and generally in good shape. The downsides were very minor, including a sticky sliding door and a somewhat loud AC. We look forward to coming back again.

Cannot speak more highly of the idyllic location for Ocean Point Inn. If you want a tranquil and iconic New England getaway, with sunsets over the water, loons in the morning, old New England architecture, and and stunning Maine coastline views, this is your place. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, even though this was the last night of the season. We would love to return.

The location is spectacular with a terrific walk to the point right out the front door. It sits directly on the ocean and you can walk down the pier and swim off the dock. Lobster boats picking up their traps in the morning fog was great. All that being said my room was very expensive and even more booking through Expedia. When I asked why the receipt they gave me on checkout was $250 less than what I paid booking through Expedia they said that's how Expedia makes money. My receipt was $650, Expedia charged me $907 for 2 nights. The beds were super comfortable but they obviously just painted over places that really needed to be replaced or repaired. The deck had boards that sunk down when you stepped on them, the bathroom door had the old paint showing through in big blotches, the bathroom fan was incredibly noisy.

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful stay! The hotel is situated on a quiet stretch of East Boothbay, about 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Boothbay Harbor. Hotel has a fantastic restaurant on the property serving delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a bustling bar, fire pits, lawn games and even s’mores! Hotel offers quaint cottages to rent, has a beautiful pool and free parking! Very happy with our stay!

If you want a place where you can have peace and quiet, on the premises dining, a sunset view over the ocean, swimming opportunities, and time to decompress, Ocean Point Inn is the right choice. I enjoyed sitting by the water's edge (at high tide) and just enjoying the scenery and quietness of the small cove. People seemed relaxed, laid back, and not in a hurry to zip around. A good place for bicycle riding. If you want shopping experiences, Boothbay Harbor is only a short ride away. The staff was unbelievably friendly and professional as well as the dining staff with excellent menu choices. I would definitely stay at Ocean Point Inn again!! 5 stars!

While it was disappointing that the restaurant was closed for lunch we did have a lovely dinner there. It would’ve been nice if they served made to order eggs for breakfast. The views are spectacular!

It was very quiet and nice. Little shocked we were above the kitchen but adjusted quickly as we were able to open the window and the views were fantastic! Food was fantastic but the wait times were a bit much.

This property has been updated and the decor is super cute. The property is quaint and quiet. Stunning views. Ate both breakfast and dinner at the onsite restaurant and both service and the food were 10/10. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This place was idyllic. Our room had an incredible view of the harbor and there were lots of tables and chairs set up along the water. A very off the beaten path but we wanted for nothing. I could have spent our entire week here. Highly recommend. The area also has a large number of preserves for watching wildlife and hiking, it's also close to the coastal botanical gardens.

Arrived after 4 pm check in. Had to wait for room approximately a half hour while other couples came in and got room keys right away. ???. Bathroom sink was very small, Shower had half door. Floor got soaked. Hate to say it but won't go back

Super dog friendly! I think my dog enjoyed it more than I even did. Highlights - comfy bed, nice deck, location, loved the picnics tables and Adirondack chairs at waters edge. Great place to have a drink or eat takeout. Dining services were slow, food is good but expensive.

Wonderful, relaxing getaway. Room was clean and spacious. Beautiful setting. Ate at the restaurant all three nights - was so good we didn’t want to go somewhere else. Hope to return next year!

Nice accommodations on the beach. Our room was half a cabin, cute but very small, and the light in the "living room" was pretty useless. A 25 watt bulb at best that left the room too dark to use after the sun went down. The shower stall could have used a good scrubbing. Otherwise everything was nice and we had a great meal in the restaurant and a nice walk around the water afterwards. I enjoyed our stay.
