We spend a lot of time in Hawaii on different islands, usually for extended stays of 3-4 weeks....this was the best house for sunsets we have ever had and the location directly on the ocean allowed us to listen to the water crashing all night on the lava rock. We had dinner every night on the lanai and watched the sunsets. Hot tub was a big plus.The house is in a perfect location...there are a couple of nice beaches very close with surfing available, downtown is a 5 minute drive, golf course is within a couple of miles. There is a large supermarket within a mile. Easy access to other beaches if you want to explore by car. You can snorkel right out back of the house if you feel comfortable getting in the water off the lava rock. My son did some spear fishing out there as well.House was clean, well-kept. There is no AC (other than a single unit in main living area which we rarely turned on), but most nights were very tolerable with windows open and fans on. Nice breezes off the water.Property management company was very responsive with periodic texting to check in and reminders to take out the trash. The only maintenance issue we had was the outdoor grill not working, but they replaced it the next day. My only complaint was that there was only a single beach chair available.We’d definitely recommend this house.
