Room was clean, though the television remote was a challenge to operate. One of the best showers I've had at an economy hotel. Breakfast was decent for this level a hotel. I would stay here again.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. The building needs major updating. Doors are heavy and stick in place. Carpeting in rooms should be replaced with laminate for health reasons. In the room where we stayed, the toilet seat was loose and slid every time we sat. The refrigerator door didn’t close, so it was useless, and electrical outlets didn’t adequately hold a plug. Although the bathroom was probably clean, it “felt” dirty because it was so outdated - sealant strips along the bathtub to hide broken caulking/mold, yellowed linoleum and tub, shower head caked with lime. They provide a “continental” breakfast that was cereal and toast. They were introducing a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, waffles, biscuit and gravy. The eggs had a strange after taste, like burned rubber. I had had two bites and went for white toast (one option) instead. The tables were not tended and subsequently dirty. My advice: Skip the hot stuff and get some decent bakery items. Fortunately, we will probably never need to return to the area overnight.

We paid for a continental breakfast but the doors were still locked an hour after breakfast was to be served.

Overall cleanliness was quite poor.

Not a bad breakfast. Didn’t see a pool. But says they have one. Not a big deal cause didn’t have time to use it anyway. The owners were so nice and welcoming. It’s a great little place to stay. Definitely will stay there agian when I’m in clarion!
