Lovely stay at the Fox Hall Inn. Staff were really friendly and helpful, right from check in. The hotel grounds are lovely, with a spacious garden where you can enjoy food and drink with a stunning view of the countryside. Would highly recommend the food, we had homemade steak & Ale pie with chips - absolutely delicious. There is a continental style breakfast hamper provided the next morning based on item choices you pick. All fresh produce and the overnight oats were a delight! Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The hotel is next to the A66, which is very convenient. We couldn’t have been more impressed or happy with this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. It’s also very dog friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend and we will return.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par la jeune dame, et nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme à la maison. L'ambiance du pub est incroyablement conviviale, avec des locaux discutant joyeusement. C'est l'incarnation même du cosy anglais. Notre chambre était un véritable havre de paix. Elle était impeccablement propre, décorée avec goût dans un style moderne et épuré et offrait une vue à couper le souffle sur les collines verdoyantes. Le lit était confortable, et après une longue journée de marche, exactement ce qu'il nous fallait. Les petites attentions, comme [mentionnez les petits plus, ex: le plateau de thé et café avec des biscuits locaux et les articles de toilette de qualité, ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Le petit-déjeuner le lendemain matin a été la cerise sur le gâteau, nous a donné l'énergie nécessaire pour notre prochaine randonnée. Ce qui distingue vraiment cet endroit, c'est l'atmosphère et l'attention du personnel. C'est plus qu'un simple hébergement, c'est une véritable immersion dans la culture locale. On sent la passion et l'engagement des propriétaires pour offrir une expérience mémorable.

The staff were great and really friendly, the room was lovely and the provided continental breakfast was excellent for the price we paid. The only negative was there was not a lot of atmosphere in the pub and they stopped serving and closed the pub at 9 pm on a Saturday night

We really enjoyed our stay at The Fox Hall Inn. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable, good value for money, and the free continental breakfast (delivered to our room) was an added bonus! The staff were welcoming and attentive and it was the perfect stop off for a couple of nights whilst visiting Barnard Castle, about 10 minutes away by car. I think a car would be needed to reach the property, but I am unsure of the local bus service. A super hotel which we would use again and would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Thank you!

Welcome when we arrived and the service throughout was amazing. The evening meal was fabulous too. The only slight issue we had was the soundproofing. We were in Room 8 and could hear noise from kitchen and other rooms.

Every aspect of our stay was considered and then communicated with us. I have allegies and the chef drove to a local shop (after dinner service) to ensure I had choices for breakfast. The whole team were so flexible and understanding Top notch service.

The hotel is next to the A66, which is very convenient. We couldn’t have been more impressed or happy with this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. It’s also very dog friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend and we will return.

Ample on site parking. Located next to main road so convienient but traffic noise in the front rooms may be challenging particularly if the window is open.

What a lovely place to stay. A convenient location on the A66 (near to Scotch Corner). Beatiful views from the back of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the bar area. Rooms were nice and comfortable with a very spacious bathroom and great shower. The only downside was that we were in Room 8 which was above the kitchen which was a bit on the noisey side. Will definitely use again but would bring ear plugs next time.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lovely food in the bar/restaurant. The room itself was modern, and good facilities were provided Our bedroom was on the A66 roadside. Despite the double glazing, we still found it a little noisy. Some further secondary galzing could perhaps help?

We really enjoyed our stay at The Fox Hall Inn. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable, good value for money, and the free continental breakfast (delivered to our room) was an added bonus! The staff were welcoming and attentive and it was the perfect stop off for a couple of nights whilst visiting Barnard Castle, about 10 minutes away by car. I think a car would be needed to reach the property, but I am unsure of the local bus service. A super hotel which we would use again and would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Thank you!

I had an absolutely fabulous stay at The Fox Hall. I stayed for 2 night with 3 other colleagues and we all enjoyed our stay. The food is fantastic. The first night I had fish and chips. The fish was huge and cooked very nicely as were the chips. I tried my best but couldn’t quite finish it. I highly recommend the overnight oats for breakfast. Breakfast is delivered to you room in a lovely hamper set - see picture. Very nice. My room was spacious, had a bath and shower and lots of lovely touches like nice tea and coffee and nice soaps etc. the room was very clean and was refreshed the next morning. The second evening I had the salmon dish and it was wonderful. Very tasty! The staff are very friendly and Lucy was always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure customers have a pleasant time. My colleagues and I enjoyed our evening in the bar. I would definitely recommend The Fox Hall for food and accommodation and I will look to stay there again next time I’m working in the area.

Staff were excellent, friendly and Helpful. We were a little disappointed that the inc.Breakfast wasn't actually a cooked breakfast, it was cereal etc . Our fault for not querying when we booked but it was mainly because the last time we stayed it did include a cooked breakfast. They are currently not doing Cooked breakfast but the Hotel, the Room and the staff were all excellent. The evening meal was also excellent. Thanks for a lovely stay. Hopefully next time we book you are doing cooked breakfast.

Super staff, spotless and comfortable room… I had a quiet and very restful sleep. I also had a very nice dinner at the restaurant as well. Breakfast was delivered properly and was very tasty – I would stay here again!

The staff behind the bar and who worked in the restaurant were very friendly. The room was a good size and there was nice view from our window. Breakfast was brought to your room rather than in the restaurant, this was different and gave the option for having breakfast in bed. The only downside was that the door for the stairwell at the end of the hallway kept slamming. This door was next to our room which was quite frustrating.

Obwohl direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Landstrasse gelegen war unser Zimmer absolut ruhig. Der Raum und das Bad sind modern und praktisch eingerichtet. Das Pub und Restaurant im Erdgeschoß sind gemütlich und freundlich ausgestattet. Der Biergarten hinter dem Haus ist sehr gemütlich mit schöner Aussicht auf Wiesen und Schafweiden. Abendessen war sehr gut. Frühstück gab's als Picknick-Korb morgens vor der Tür, war auch lecker und OK. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.

Staff really nice. Bargain had no atmosphere and draft beers were disgusting and expensive. Room was at the rear with a nice view. Soundproofing between rooms and downstairs wasn't great. Lots of doors banging closed. The most disappointing was breakfast. They ask you to fill in what you want the night before but then it seems they just give you what they want. Several missing items, milk but no cereal, 1 tiny pot of jam between 2 people, 1 tiny orange juice between 2. Other items incorrect and no one around to get it corrected. Both overnight oats orders were wrong, they were also very liquidy and room temperature so they were left untouched. Pointless offering this type of breakfast if people can't follow a sheet they've made you fill in.
