El Rancho Motel

Very nice owners were patient w/me while checking into this room. I completed my booking online and then struggled w/the software. Assuming my room was paid for online when I provided my Visa #. Room was clean comfortable and well accommodated w/a table chairs, fridge, microwave. Only negative was that the ice machine was broken.

The rooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. The pool was closed and it looked like it had been closed for some time. The parking lot was rough and the road was busy and noisy, although it did calm down at night so sleeping wasn’t too bad.

Perfect old school motel! Some rooms allowed smoking, which was perfect for me! The parking was very easy!My car was literally in front of my room! If you’re a worker from outta town, this is great because you’re on the main drag… restaurants, liquor stores etc

Do not stay here! The first room had hot air coming out of the AC so we switched rooms after the front desk came in and felt the hot air. But the next room was still so hot we had to wet our clothes &we had a baby with us! I wanted a cold shower for me & the baby but that was not possible & the water was so hot it would've burned your skin. The pool was bone dry, the beds had dirt all over the comforter & the towels had black dirt all over them. There was no ice machine, just a tiny bag of ice from the front that clearly came out of a refrigerator ice maker of their own. We were sweating from head to toe after 2 hours so I asked the front if I could get my money back cuz we had to go to another hotel. She said yes so we left and got a room elsewhere with everything you'd expect and need from a hotel room. Then I was told by hotels.com that the woman who said she would refund me wanted to charge me $25 for cleaning even though we were there less than 2 hours and only moved the comforters a bit because it was too dirty to sit on them and way too hot. So I called her, she was very rude, argued with me for a while & blamed the AZ weather. But I finally got her to stick to her word & refund my money for the 2 awful hours that we sat in front of the AC with no change in comfort. This really was upsetting after driving for 8 hours and wanting to just relax for a bit. Save yourself the trouble and go to a better hotel. It's not worth saving 20 bucks or so a night to be miserable.

This property was scummy, the cold water didn’t work…which is crazy! And other people said their room was the same way. Never stay here, it should be condemned. The empty pool in the middle of the property should be a dead give away.

It's a cool older hotel, have stayed here for almost 30 years. Too bad the pool is no longer in operation. If you like the old school motel style place, this is it.

Parking is right at your door, no long walks. And some rooms allow smoking, if you want that .

Were it not for my Expedia discount, it would have been a little pricey for what it actually was, but it was sufficient. Still, consider a continental breakfast, or at least a coffee/tea maker in the room -- and definitely an ice machine! But it was functional enough for passing on through.

AC unit was in the sun, the coldest tap water was over 100, no ice machine. Checked in to get over hear exhaustion, but I got worse. Left after 20 minutes.

Great room for the price. Could use some updating on furniture but clean and comfortable. Pool was empty and fenced off. Friendly check in.

The place was not very clean. Stains on the sides of the matress, dead bedbug in the bed (at least it was dead), dirty fridge and table tops

Property appears to be on its last leg. Room furniture is old and damaged. Room cleanliness was appalling. Toilet was dirty, hair on the room floor and bed.

Please needs a refresh Bathrooms flooring where it meets the base is filthy

Refrigerator was filthy inside. Bathroom floor had dirt mold in corners and along base boards of entire room. There was gritty sand crumbs. Between bed sheets

Lights in room were out. There was mold around bathtub. there were no hangers. There was SOMEONE ELSE'S HAIR on the pillow from a previous visit.

Well, the room air conditioner did not work which made it horrible and miserable. There was no cold water at all and the hot water was intolerable to take a bath. The room next door to me clouple complained to me about the air conditioner and the hot water that burned them, on top of that they got locked out because key knob was not operating and they had to switch room.

I like how they were still polite and friendly even though i showed up at 3:00 a.m and woke em up. Nice place looked like my room was recently remodeled. Clean, free coffee.

Room was clean and comfortable and my check in and check out was pleasant. The reason for my low stars is because the pre set temperature to the A/C was not enough to cool the room. The room was small and should have been able to cool. I was not Able to adjust the temperature. The room was hot. The only cool area was sitting in front Of the a/c. This was very unpleasant, frustrating and overwhelming to Not be able to be comfortably be cool in a city where we have over 100 degree weather. I was sweating and was not able To Shower or Get ready comfortably.

A/C wasn’t cooling off after 4 hours of being in the room.

Reasonably clean, typical military town private motel. Easy to find, easy in/out, hassle free stay. Fridge and microwave, no coffee pot, good TV, squeaky bed on one edge. Easy access electrical outlets and light switches everywhere. Newish A/C and the access doorknobs were all prox! Wifi worked well and was easy to access. A small desk would have been nice. All the lighting was 5500K or brighter. Would do better with cooler lighting over the bedside. ( 4000K or less ). Towling was kinda on the thin side.

This is an older hotel. The rooms are a good size and the bed I slept on was very comfortable. They have lots of television channels, refrigerators and microwave in every room. While they maybe due for a few upgrades on the property-this was a very nice place to stay!

It was a fine place to stay for the price. Manager was great & helpful. We had no problems and didn’t see nonsense going on around it. It was satisfactory to us.

No hot water in the am,, but it was as 9am and I’m guessing everyone was showering at the same time… BUT.. more importantly, the staff was very accommodating for my late 2am arrival. Additionally, I left a cell phone there and they called me about 30 min later while cleaning the room and informed me. Not everyone is honest these days, and it really struck home that it’s honesty and care for others … is hard to find. The fact that the staff was pleasant, accommodating, AND HONEST, left me with a very good impression of this place. A decent motel, to say the least!

Great value - safe, clean enough, tv working, service focussed staff

We stayed in room 110 on two separate occasions. We were impressed that the rooms have obviously been updated. It was nice to have a mini-fridge. Check in was easy and the staff friendly. We were walking distance from restaurants and a mini mart and Frys grocery store was not far away. We would stay there again.

The El Rancho Motel in Yuma was really good, clean and comfortable, in a good location with some bars and restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Yuma and the old prison were just a short drive away.

While the eoom was very clean, there was no chair(s) to sit in. There were no hooks for clothes. There was no radio or clock. There were no lamps for each side of bed, but there were overhead lights, but not so usable. There was no coffeemaker but evidently there was cofee in lobby. These are rather basics and standard at competitor motels in area.

The room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. However, there was no chair of any type to sit on. There was just a round table. There was no clock in the room, and no coffee maker, which are both fairly standard nowadays. There were only over head bright lights, and no bed side lamps to be able to adjust how much light was desired. There were no tissues, that I could find. Basically, this room would work if someone wanted just to check in, lay down and go to sleep. The TV did have quite a variety of channels.

This property was really quiet and nice. The internet speed was awesome and there was good food right across the street. I recommend this hotel.

My wife advise me that we will never stay here again. The bed was uncomfortable and noisy. The air conditioner kept her up. The neighbors started talking louldly outside the room from 3:00 AM on till 5:00. The only positive was a good location for us shopping and eating. We appreciate the recomendation the owner made for a good Indian restaurant, that was fantastic.
